L21b with sft40 = best budget thrower. It has 2000 lumens, and a throw of 1200 meters (ANSI). The L21b or l21A are great with the CULPM1 emiter = throw 1350 meters ANSI.

​@@universalrebel503xhp70.3 Hi are mostly for flood light with an orange peel reflector, depends on the driver they have 3000-4000 lumens by default, but they can be tuned up to 10 Amps with more lumen output. But the sft40 and culpm1 are the top thrower leds

Id definitely recommend an m21b host. You won't be disappointed

3x21D throws farther....ht50 produces more light more floody

I think the 3 sft40s in the 3x21a produce more light but its close, different shade of light...the sft40 is more blue white....but the 3x21D throws way way farther by alot and maybe 2000 lumens less give or take depends on batteries being used

Definitely agree for the price I don't know of anything that comes close in terms of throw and output

The haikelite HT50 Pro is both brighter and can throw way further....to get close to its performance you need the convoy 3x21A to have triple sft40s instead of the sst40 leds

Thank you my friend, the 3x21D is amazing, I will do some testing in the mountains near me this weekend and will know more about how far it throws...but so far the heat hasn't been that bad on it using Samsung 30T...will test it with 40t and molicel to see which last longer on turbo bur so far I wanna say maybe 2 mins on turbo

@@universalrebel503 I'm wondering if there is a noticeable decrease in light when the flashlight is in turbo mode, or does the sbt90.2 led brightness decrease after 2 minutes because the flashlight heats up. it is fixed how many lumens output it gives for how many minutes. and from batteries to batteries, does the light brightness and working time vary, do the batteries affect the working parameters of the flashlight? I currently have Molicel p42a and samsung 50E batteries in my hand.

​@@DamlaKabatahey finally got around to testing with more batteries, and yes they make a difference in beam intensity and throw i would say....but even on lower levels the 3x21D throws extremely far...you dont even have to use turbo until you spot what youre looking for, then you can easily inspect or signal with turbo mode depending on situation

Thank you for the support. And definitely both lights are amazing, I tend to use the haikelite ht50 pro around the house alot because of the amount of usable spill and color of light it produces. The convoy definitely can be used to pinpoint things in the distance easier. Gonna try different batteries on the convoy to see if any help keep it on turbo longer.

How's the run times between the two! Thinking of the HT50 as it has a wider beam / more flood...

How long does it last on turbo before stepdown? Overall, how long does it last with good batteries for a mix of turbo bursts and medium power? Thanks
