TBAC Barricade
Suppressors commonly used in PRS Video - TBAC Magnus-K-RR (braked) vs TBAC Magnus-L (traditional). Let me know which cans you'd like to see compared next in the comments!
This video compares 2 common cans in PRS made by Thunder Beast Arms on the 2024 version of the PRS Barricade skills stage.
The 1st is the -RR or Race Ready short configuration with the brake. The brake actually reduces recoil quite a bit. Running this can I'm able to easily see impacts on 400 / 500 yard targets. Beyond 500 yards trace is pretty easy to pick up.
The 2nd is the long configuration of the Magnus. This can is super quiet but what's interesting is the recoil reduction is actually quite good, even without the brake. It's easy to see impacts on both 400 & 500 yard targets and similarly, trace is easy to see past 500 yards.

IPSC Tip of the Week

IPSC Tip of the Week - Advanced gas block tuning. Standard gas block tuning involves running your mags with a single round and opening up the gas block until you get lock back. Typically I'll then open up the gas block a few more clicks. One thing I always do after that is to run my mags full and verify good function and ejection. This is important in extended mags where there is a good amount ...

IPSC Drill of the Week for 5/31. This is a modified version of "Go - Stop" using a 6" autopopper and an IPSC target with 2/3 of the target covered by a no-shoot. Starting at the outside cone, engage the popper, then move back and forth between cone 1 and cones 2-4, engaging the popper from cone 1 and the paper from cones 2-4. At the final position on cone 1 I engage popper, 2 paper, then a 2nd ...

IPSC Drill of the week. This is a 4 shot drill. Starting from standing, go prone and engage 2 poppers at 100 yards. The order is 1-2-1-2, alternating back and forth. The best way I found to drop time was to get down and into the prone quickly. Then, shooting the sight picture as it became "good" for the shot. Pushing on the shot dropped accuracy if I felt "trying harder" manifest as bad trigger...

What bag for PRS? We get asked a ton of questions every month. This is a quick video to address one of the more common questions we get. Let us know if this is helpful and if you have other gear questions. What bag should I get? This is by far the most asked question. The WieBad Tater Tot is the most popular bag at our matches and what we usually recommend for competition.

Long range targets went out to 600 yards this year which was a nice change to take advantage of the terrain at the venue. This year the Texas Hill Country was absolutely stunning with some of the best wildflowers in 10 years. We couldn't have asked for better scenery or a more well run event.

Thanks for sharing. Have you tried playing with the weights on the SCS or swapping to a different buffer like the Unrivaled system or a Kynshot hydraulic?
@@shootinbruin3614 I have run lighter SCS systems and didn't really care for the difference. The others I don't use.
@@coryk6839 Appreciate the response man. Congrats on breaking Top 20!
Hi, thanks for this video. You do a lot of mileage, can you tell me how often you replace the basic parts? Extractor spring - 5k? Firing pin -10k? Anything else that needs replacing fairly often?
JP has a pretty detailed schedule for the extractor / spring on their site. Other than basic lubrication and cleaning, I haven't replaced anything other than that.
What was the fill type and weight for that bag in the video?
That's a WieBad Tater Tot with Heavy Sand Fill. I've since upgraded to a Tater Tot with Heavy Glass Fill.
@coryk6839 kickass, thanks. That's the only thing was keeping me buying one. I really like how yours layed and conformed to the rifle. Everyone talks about the bag. Nobody, mean nobody talks about the types of filled in them. Oh yeah, I am and was planning to get the Tator Tot. That just seams like the perfect size.
Do you have a code? I'm would like you get credit for my purchase. I'm buying 2 Tators. One with Heavy glass fill and one with the Spexlight. The spexlight seems that would great for when I'm hunting or competing in Run'N'Guns. I do a lot of them.
Looked really smooth. Gun ran good too.
Thank ya! It was a really, really fun match

Hi Cory, Nice to you see you have new channel. We shot on the same squad in PCC Nationals in 2020 in Frostpoof, FL (guy with red jersey "Gun For Hire" Woodland Park Range in New Jersey). Mr. Seifert was on our squad and he introduced me to you. I would not miss chance to see training of first GM in all divisions. It looks like IPSC is a lot of point-to-point runs. I shoot against USPSA Open guys in Pennsylvania and that is game changer shooting PCC on the move almost all the time (and trying to hit almost all alphas). Perhaps differentiating USPSA from IPSC training would be good idea.
Great to hear from you again! Yes, differences between USPSA style and IPSC style is something I plan on doing.

2 1:49 Left first for activator, 3 poppers, 2 crossing paper. Sprint around the front to enter on the tux, popper, open paper and 2 crossing shots. 1 makeup because I hit the hard cover steel instead of the popper. “Hey that sounded weird…and the popper is still up!” Finish back to the port for the bobber. Great medium course. 16 2:12 Draw to the open paper for a good grip, 2 mini poppers in another county, exit on the tux. Sprint to the left side for the hard cover around the wall, then right side crossing open and no shoot. Reload for the finishing sequence. Enter to the right side on the 2 open targets, steel left to right with activator being the 3rd target. Ambush the swinger, transition to the open target, move left on the left target and finish on the right crossing hard cover. This was about as smooth as the ending sequence could be for me. 15 2:33 Start right to left leaning to exit, enter open aggressively and finish targets right to left. Push on this stage. 9 2:46 Star on the right side open target, then left to right hard cover, open paper, activator, clam shell. Hard exit and sprint to the other side. Enter on the open paper, take targets left to right. 8 2:58 Start on the right side stack with an aggressive push. Move left indexed on the activator, hit the open paper, then bobber. Finish left on 3 paper left to right. 7 3:11 Start on the right side for the far shots (they are all far), hit the left side crosser then shuffle left for the far hidden wall shots. Take the 2 in the port starting on the no shoot and focusing on clean hits on both since there’s no reason to drop points for speed. Reload and enter on the left shot around the wall, the open target and double stack to the right, hit the head box with 2 clean shots going for A’s, the tux through the port, then the far hard cover. Lots of technical positions and starting on this stage I played it safe. 20 3:36 - Open on the close target to ensure a good grip for the far shots, move hard and fast to the 2nd position and shoot left to right. I got squirrely on the poppers but reigned it in and finished well. 6 3:48 Step forward for the right side crosser, then move right for the far open, activator, open target and bobber. I pulled out early on the open target to fill time which cost me but I did make up the shot. Move hard left to the 2 left side shots then reload moving forward. Finish on the no shoot stack and right side crosser. This was another example of a great medium course. 2 4:12 I wanted to try 2 different plans but settled on the safe shot that avoided wall hits we were seeing. Start in the right side box taking the 3 targets, then the low tux. Explode right, I went too hard, on the open paper and popper. I had to reload moving left because of make up shots and avoiding a possible standing reload on the left side array. I also overshot the left side position. Not great execution but hits ended up good. 5 4:27 Bill drill. Just execute at a calm pace. Nothing to gain here, everything to lose.
This was an accuracy match. You’ll notice lots of make ups for shots called bad in hard cover or over small A zones. If opening on a close paper was possible, usually I took this option to ensure a good grip on far shots. 19 Start left side, open close shoot near to far, move explosively, shoot 8 entering right to left. 21 0:09 Start right crosser, open target, no shoot, left open. Move right 2 open targets through walls to hit the technical position there using the right target as an index, hit the open, no shoot stack. Transition right and take the right 2 on the move. Reload, hit tuxedo between walls, again, another technical position. Hit the activator, 2nd steel, bobber on the up and the crossing target. 18 0:31 Open on the close target to ensure a clean grip and sight picture for hard shots, far paper, drive down 2 steel next to the wall. Move explosively to 2nd position entering on the right open paper, 2 middle paper and finishing 4 steel. Leaving the right steel allowed easier shots without a lean. Reload exiting position 2. Enter position 3 for the center wall far target, then exit on the close hard cover biasing to the top of the A zone. Entering shooting the hard cover, 2 wall targets, 1 hard cover hidden by the wall then fishing on the tux. 11 1:01 Start right for the 2 far shots, then exit moving on the 2 crossing shots. Keep feet moving while turning to get to the position on the wall for 3 hard cover split. Reload here to have a full mag for the shuffle double position at the end. Finish right position first for 2 open paper by the wall, slightly moving left, for the hard cover right crossing shot, no shoot, activator and swinger. This was a great stage where you had to speed up and slow down. 12 1:25 Get the gun and immediately engage the right stack for clean hits. Move left for a double stack position right then left, shuffle left for the around the wall stack speeding up the pace. Hit the reload and sprint to the back left corner for the right stack, then open far cross stack. This plan added a position at the start but avoided leaving the 2nd array from the left partially occluded by a wall. Watching the squad, half the shooters shot the wall and ended up with a miss. I played this one conservative and ended up with a great hit factor.
Just gettin it
Yessir!
good job sir
Nicely done
Thanks! It was a fun match
Stage 8 - 4 targets front right to left, exit to rear for 2 targets right, slight step left to engage the tux between barrels. Move around the wall for the no-shoot, then back around for the final 2 targets. Not too complicated, just keep them in the A and get clean hits on the tux. 0:16 Stage 9 - Load into back right no shoot, move forward on open target and get 2 clean hits on the partial at the wall. Move right on the open, transition to steel, 2 in the partial and 2 on the swinger. I had to make up the steel, wait on the swinger then called a D with my first show leading to a 3rd shot make up. Dropped a bit of time missing that popper but good hits on the stage overall. 0:27 Stage 10 - I started on the 2 no shoots as these were the hardest shots on the stage. Moving left into the activator, popper, swinger sequence felt great. From there move left around the 2 walls for 1 target each. Exit with a big movement and come in on the left port paper moving to right port paper. Enter the forward position with a clean setup for long shots on the 2 paper, mini popper and exit on the partial. Get outta the way RO! Move to the far right for the paper, partial and crossing popper hidden between barrels. This stage felt great but I would LOVE to shoot it again from 2 other stage plans that also looked good. 0:58 Stage 11 - I started left on the wall paper, then took the no shoot and exited open paper. Starting in the back was less popular but kept me from backing up on the no shoot on the left side. Entered the right port for 3 targets, moved on 2 paper on the right then straight into the activators. I took 2 mini’s (swinger activator) then 2 big poppers (both activators) for the bobber. I could have fit another mini in but opted to play it safe. Exited mini, activator, then hard right swing for the drop out (2A). I stumbled a bit moving into the final left position but got clean hits on the paper and swinger 1:18 Stage 12 - Enter open paper, 2 clean shots on the partial. Hard movement left moving on 2 open paper and again getting 2 clean hits on the partial. Hard movement to the front for a hard entry on a partial, open paper then a hard exit on another partial with no great way to enter/leave other than carefully. Popper, paper, popper with a few make ups through the port then finishing on an open paper and a bit of a leaning final paper. Good stage other than the make ups on the mini near the end. 1:38 Stage 7 - Starting on the left side felt like a crazy good flow. 4 minis, 2 paper, then the port. I popped one into the wall and had to come back for a makeup. Dumb mistake trying to push too hard. Activator, paper, make up activator then a make up on the tux bobber cost a bit of time. Sprint out of bounds to the right port for an outside paper, then hidden cross popper, 3 paper, and leaving on the hidden right mini. Finish left port, paper, popper, paper and final hidden mini. Fun stage with a bit of memory in the hidden poppers.
2:05 Stage 14 - Start right on 4 paper exiting on the close 2. Immediately turn to the far paper through the walls only visible from the front. Around the wall for a tux and mini, clean hits here. Into the port for a mini and 2 paper with some leaning. Just get clean hits here, nothing to speed up without taking huge risk. Move into the final port taking the partial outside first, then the 4 paper and 2 poppers. This plan avoided the hard angle shot on the far right paper from the port which several guys smoked the wall trying. 2:26 Stage 15 - I started right for flow at the end position. This avoided a weird stop moving left first. 2 paper on the right, moving forward on paper around barrel, mini, paper, mini with a quick turn to the open paper and no shoot. Hard movement to the wall paper with a shuffle to the 2nd wall paper. This was awkward moving left first and slightly less bad from the right with the close paper being the entry index. Around the left wall for 2 quick paper with a planned step out due to the angle of the no shoot target. Sprint forward indexing on the activator, paper, 1 make up on the bobber after a delta call. This was a bit risky but worth it. Finish paper, mini, paper around the wall. The last 2 positions flowed super clean here. 2:50 Stage 17 - Start muzzle on mark, index shoot the open and upper paper. I hit literally an almost perfect double on the top (thanks JP5)! Move on the outside paper, inside wall, popper, paper, hard swing left to exit left paper. This put me in the direction I was leaving. Lots of ways to do this but I liked this way. Transition to final low-er port and engage targets left to right. Good clean medium course. Lots of stages using Turtle targets gave more chances to make silly mistakes. Clean A’s was the plan here. 3:00 Stage 16 - Load and take targets left to right. Almost got squirrely with the make ups on steel but got 2A on the clamshell. Set up clean on the hard lean to avoid bad shots. Activator, paper, steel, 2 clean alpha on the 2nd clam. Great stage minus the makeups on steel. Lots of activator practice at home helped here. 3:13 - Stage 18 - Waste of a bay but at least I was clean. 4 reload 4 at 25, then again at 15. 4 reload 4 weak shoulder at 10 for the finale. Just hit clean loads and move on.
3:27 Stage 2 - Enter left to the port target, then hard move to the far right for 2 paper around the wall and 4 poppers on the other side. Move left to the 2nd spot and hit 3 paper crossing shots. Big movement to the tux hard cover between barrels, paper and poppers left and a hidden barrel paper right. Final position was 1 paper behind barrels and the long no shoot on the far left. Decent stage, good hits. 3:55 Stage 3 - Less popular move hard left to make the shooting easier. Gave up a few steps for hits and a good plan flow on this one. 4 paper left, then shuffle for 2 steel and a paper in the middle. This flowed really well left to right. Hard push to the back of the front position for a tux with a weird angle, 2 more targets through a hole in walls, then 2 paper crossing left. This set up a great exit to the far back for 2 paper left and finishing 1 paper right. 4:19 Stage 1 - Enter moving left and taking the right paper, 2 poppers and a hard angle paper toeing the line. Planned drop out step for the exit to the left paper, 2 poppers and paper. Clean swing into the port for another paper, popper, paper sequence. Moving hard right to again hit paper, popper, 2 paper. Finish moving to the right spot for a hidden partial popper and a paper through the port. This plan skipped the port by taking the paper from the 2nd to last position. Much better plan, just needed fewer make ups on the full size poppers! 4:44 Stage 5 - Short course with 2 ports. Take 2 paper outside the left port, 1 paper in the port, then 2 steel which activated the left swinger. Leaving that swinger for the time being, move hard right, for paper, steel paper and finish on the swinger. This gave a better exposure on the swinger without going for the risky plan on the left port of activator, popper, paper, swinger. The activator hit fast and the timing was a bit rough in the walk throughs. No need to risk it. 4:56 Stage 4 - Kind of a dull one. Enter left for 2 paper and 2 steel. I took the 2 paper on the right crossing here since I was already stable and didn’t want to risk a step low shot on the no shoot from the right. Less popular plan but I got A’s so it’s probably a wash. Same on the right around the wall, paper, steel, paper, activator. Move forward past the right side stuff I already took to the port, paper, weird activator with steel behind it, 2 poppers. Finish 4 paper right and left positions at the end. 5:23 Stage 6 - 2 on paper, reload, all steel. Just shoot your sights, hit the reload clean. Nothing to it but to do it!

14 - 3:19 A left first or right first stage. I went left first for flow. Either way would be fine. The middle 6 targets were about changing up the sight picture and shot speeds for the available A zone. The end sequence is why we do pause squats. I chose to engage the left paper coming in, doubling the first big popper first again, then 1:1 on the rest of the steel to avoid transitioning to the paper then back. Finishing on the paper also allowed me to ensure good hits without worrying about pulling out early and swinging wildly back and forth going from paper to poppers multiple times. 15 - 3:36 Starting anywhere on the back fault, going right first eliminated a massive amount of back movement. Clearing the 4 targets on the right also allowed the left side to really flow. Coming around the corner you could enter on an open paper, slam 2 mini poppers, get clean hits on the hard cover turtle by the wall without slamming the wall, then move to the left open target. From there I chose to engage the hidden right paper only. This was so I didn’t forget a target, no other reason. It might have been faster to come in on the mini then clear left to right but then I had to remember more targets. I then sprinted to the right to engage the hidden mini popper on the left, which also allowed me to engage the final array left to right which was great for the remembering all the remaining targets. 16 - 3:57 Danny’s option stage. This was a fantastic stage with targets having multiple points where they presented a viable option to engage. Start slamming 2 targets and leaving the left open for a future position. This allowed me to move left immediately and exit moving. Moving to the left I engaged paper first then the popper, which was hidden by a deceptively large wall that liked being shot. In the middle position I engaged the no shoot, big steel at the end, skipped the open paper and left on the left side hidden paper only visible from the center. Leaving the paper for later allowed better hits and something to do at the end. Then I immediately engaged the open paper from the beginning, covering movement with a wide open paper. I ONLY engaged the no shoot target along the wall from the right position. This was so I could get better hits and an easier position at the end. Skipping the paper and poppers meant I didn’t have to engage these on a lean only to come back to that target array for a hidden mini that had to be engaged at the end. Simpler plan IMO. From the end I came in to the nail in the boards to hit the, *shocking* hidden mini. 1:1 allowed me to move to the open paper I left from before in the window, activator steel normal steel, 3 shots on the hard cover bobber due to a called C, finishing on a long paper, 2 mini poppers with 1 being hidden to the right. 17 - 4:20 Fixed time 8 s, Virginia Count. Goal was to engage every target with 2 A in 7.8 s time. I ended up doing it in 7.2 s but with a few C’s. 2 targets in the front, 4 targets in the rear. Movement was great, just a little squirrely on the first shot of each sequence. This is why we practice agility along with explosive movements. Being able to take a full second off the par time I had plenty of time to get A AND engage all 6 targets. 18 - 4:29 Another fantastic option stage, going back or going to the window first. I chose the back as I was already moving there. Engage the single back target, then move into the window on the open target. Activator steel, then other steel was the plan but I pulled out early and soaked up 0.5s in oopsie pull back time for the miss. After the steel engage a no shoot paper, then the silly activator that was a combo open-only clam shell with a no shoot bobber for distraction behind the target. Shoot throughs were prevented by a hard cover steel. The end sequence was just 3 targets but the movement to get into position was important to save time. 19 - 4:39 4 on each outside target, reload, 2 on each inside target. I dropped my only miss of the match ½ an inch into the hard cover slapping the trigger after the reload. I should have taken a less aggressive sight picture. 20 - 4:46 Awesome stage and the RO amped me the fun up challenging me to beat 20s. I easily did and I think I ended up with the fastest time on the stage. Starting with 2x 20 yard targets with no shoots to the right, then moving into a low port with 2 hard cover paper targets, again, pause squats. Exploding out of that position saved a good amount of time. Moving into the middle position, 2 clean shots on the hard cover by the wall and 2 A’s on an open target to the right moving. At the end, I entered on the big popper to start shooting quickly, cleaned all the steel 1:1 and left on a no shoot to the right hidden by the wall. No other real good way to engage this as the far right popper activated the swinger so you couldn’t time the popper swinger sequence. I took 3 big shuffle steps back to the position I planned on engaging the swinger from. Staying low, I was able to ambush the swinger with 2 A’s after I got on it a little early with a first shot C. Overall this was a fantastic match that really forced shooters to balance shooting on the move vs risk of dropping misses into hard cover or mini poppers. I loved the balance of short, medium and long courses as well as the activator sequences.
8 - 1:32 - A very fun stage but with only 1 really good plan. Engage 2 targets on the left, move to the right to hit another 2 targets and 2 steel. The trick to this opening was 1:1 on the steel of course but also getting A’s and not dropping unnecessary points on C’s or D’s, much less slapping a no shoot. Through the window was a modest no shoot to trap a heavy step low shot and a mini popper to slow you down if you missed and pulled out early: a great sequence. The end was a popper that activated a swinger you had to engage from another position, 25 yard target and a 20 yard partial with steel hard cover in front and behind. This was a dumb target but putting 3 on it was planned due to the small A zone. I ended up with 2 A’s and a tight delta I called a miss. Moving to the right I entered on the open paper, poppers and took 2 passes as my first pass I called a miss, finishing on the no shoot paper hidden by the barrel on the left. Final swinger was 2 A, 1D so good 2nd pass make up. Awesome stage to start on since it was somewhat technical with plenty of time to walk and program it in. 9 - 1:53 A very fun stage starting with an unloaded start. I moved right because I was comfortable with the load into 2 open paper, then straight into the 4 steel with 1 being an activator for the swinger. I hit an open paper moving forward, then 2 open paper to the right backing out to the window position. This let me spot the swinger, which I ended up being slow shooting, moving to the 2 paper, and coming back for 3 hits, 2 A’s. I finished on the left 3 paper which had a wall that soaked up some bullets from other shooters so I was cognizant of my muzzle position. While I did see other shooters run this to the left, I thought the flow of moving into the poppers and out on the right paper made the stage a bit simpler due to the swinger activator being a mini hidden behind a big popper. 10 - 2:11 Not much to this one. I went straight across the bottom and almost reloaded early. Either way, somewhat of a boring stage other than I chose to keep my first 5 sight pictures open with the last 3 being tight top targets. 11 - 2:21 I went against the grain on this one and went left first. I started on 2 paper, activator, open paper, then swinger in a planned 2 pass engagement because we only had the top presentation with no dwell. I moved left to 2 targets with 1 being a super tight long shot without switching shoulders, which I thought would be faster. Then I moved to 2 paper in the window, an explosive retreat to the left corner, then more explosive movement to soak up the distance to the right and front. Normally I’d end on the left lean. However, moving to the right first was an extra 8 steps. Additionally, it didn’t flow exceptionally well. The left lean in the middle of the stage was certainly awkward to get out of, especially going back and to the left. However, after walking the stage for 30 minutes both ways, I just went with what was more comfortable and what played to my strength of covering the back 3 distances with fast movement. Either way, this was a tough technical stage. 12 - 2:47 One of my favorite stages. This stage was about shooting on the move in the beginning, then explosive movement into and out of the 2 back positions I took the paper left first, then right to transition to the 4 poppers on the move. Each of the outer poppers activated drop out targets so you had to engage the steel before going to either left or right positions at the end. From there, engage targets as you see them. Again, the trick was getting into and out of the back right and left positions quickly. 13 - 3:02 Our last stage of day 2. This was a very straightforward start anywhere on the back fault line stage. Start left, 2 paper 2 poppers and move right for the same. The end sequence was a super fun activator sequence with each of the back mini poppers CROSS activating the max trap and bobber. I chose to double the right popper to drive it down fast, hit the left popper, hit the right mini and then transition back to the left mini. You can see at one point the left mini is up while the left popper is still falling. Doubling the first popper on the right gave me plenty of time to hit the right popper for the max with a semi-delay on the bobber so I could hit the left mini, then the max trap and ambush the bobber with 3 clean shots. The bobber being mostly hard cover forced me to make a 4th shot as I called a low C into the black on the bob: 2 A’s final hits.
Here’s my full match from the 2022 PCC Nationals, in the order I ran the stages. Day 1 was stages 1-7, day 2 was stages 8-13 and day 3 was stages 14-20. I’ve included a brief summary of each stage and why I chose to run it that way if there was another viable option. 1 - 0:00 - Start moving left on open paper target, engaged all steel and paper from at the front with the hidden mini behind the right barrel. Moved to the right to engage another hidden mini, no shoot stack and partial. Retreated to center right to engage the single paper, then to right rear for the stack and partial between walls, same on the left at the end. Not really much to this stage other than execution and going 1:1 on the steel. The hard cover partials towards the end were deceptively far so with minor scoring, it was important to respect these with good sight pictures. 2 - 0:22 - Simple stage, same as Open for the most part. Engage 3 targets from the center box, 5 from each outer box. With no reload I chose to retreat to the right first, then take the longer run moving forward. 3 - 0:40 Start anywhere, I chose the back. This flowed very well for me and simplified the targets to “shoot as they appear. 4 targets from the first position with a blend step to hit a semi-hidden 5th target between walls. I loved this sequence. Run to a center position to take the 2 left targets by the barrel, hard cover only visible from here or further right-ish. I also slammed the 5 steel 1:1 and hit an open paper to the right moving out. Again, an excellent flow with the only downside being ending on the right then moving left. I tried to focus hard on the acceleration out of this position. Final position was 2 hidden targets that had to be engaged from the tip. Long shot on the right to finish, get A’s. 4 - 0:55 Strong hand paper array with the head box visible. I chose to send 3 rounds at the A box to ensure my hits since this stage was so fast. Reload and switch to weak hand for the steel. Extra shot on steel meant to hit the mini popper but doubled the big popper. This was another excellent option stage. Engaging the paper first you took a risk on the head box of worse hits. Engaging the steel first, you got to engage the swinger with a full open presentation but weak hand. I had not practiced a weak hand swinger so I went weak hand steel. 5 - 1:05 Very fun option stage. I chose to engage the no shoot to the right as that disappeared first, then activator steel, normal steel, open paper coming back to the swinger. Moving to the right on 2 open paper I got a little excitable and overshot the position. Going right then allowed you to engage the left side paper between walls on the way back to the left. The left had something of a decent lean so I wanted to end there to avoid the time penalty of getting out of that position. Overall a great stage with 2-3 different plans to execute. 6 - 1:18 Nothing to it but to execute. I ran a safe time and moved on to the next stage. 7 - 1:20 My top finishing stage. Start on the no shoot to ensure good hits, move on the open paper to the right. Engage 2 targets then using explosive movement get the fun across the stage to start engaging the left side 2 targets. Minimizing down time not shooting here, I tried to get the rifle up early and track the A zone through the walls. Que Ben Stoeger’s drill, “Track the A Zone”
