Most Heartbreaking NBA Finals Losses
Most Heartbreaking NBA Finals Losses
From the Legend himself missing one of the most CRUCIAL shots EVER in crunch time, to a franchise that hadn’t won in half a CENTURY putting the Suns COMPLETELY on iceâ€Ķ
These are the Most Heartbreaking NBA Finals Losses!
No matter how great a team is on paper, there is no guarantee that they will make it to the finals.
Alright, there might be an exception for the Lakers, Bulls, and the Celtics back in the dayâ€Ķ
But in the modern NBA, the table can easily be flipped even if you have a superteam.
Whether by injuries, a bad performance, play, or shot by your team’s superstar, or even superstars. (Emphasize superstars)
So when a contending team gets there, they have to make it countâ€Ķ
Or they will simply get on a plane to Cancun and wish things played out a little differently.
Larry Bird knows this very well, because in 1987 after an ULTRA hot performance he missed a crucial 3 to win game 4 against the Lakersâ€Ķ
A shot he, and everybody else, was absolutely CONVINCED would swish.
If you think Larry and the city of Boston was disappointed the ball didn’t go in, on the flip side, Michael Jordan systematically dismantled basketball for the Utah Jazz since his game winner all the way back in 1998.
When it comes to cursing the very existence of one player, the Spurs have a pretty good case. When Ray Allen was still sharpshooting for the Heat, he pulled a masterclass of disruption by COMPLETELY silencing every single person in San Antonio with a single 3 pointer to force overtime in Game 6 in elimination.
And more recently, the Suns’ hopes to win their one and only championship was snuffed out by Giannis and the Bucks in 2021.
Needless to say, Devin Booker wasn’t at all happy about it.
So grab some tissues and something sweet, because it might get a little salty around the eyes by the end of the videoâ€Ķ
We are gonna go over how Larry Legend was absolutely sure his shot was going to go inâ€Ķ
Why the Jazz are still in purgatory after His Airness banished them in their last finals appearanceâ€Ķ
The surprising play by Chris Bosh and Ray Allen that sent the Spurs back to the shadow realmâ€Ķ
And why Devin Booker looked a little more deflated than usual when Giannis and the Bucks shut out the light of the Suns.
In today's video we look at Most Heartbreaking NBA Finals Losses

I don't see Sam Bowie as "one of the worst draft choices of all time." It made perfect sense for the Blazers at that time. These days, a team usually drafts on talent prowess regardless of position needed. But back then, you draft primarily on position needed. Sam Bowie was talented and had a great college career. For that draft night, the Blazers chose correct with Sam. It's a weak argument knowing how everything played out. Hindsight is 20/20. Blazers had SG Jim Paxson coming off his career best season and drafted Clyde the year before. Why pick Jordan? Blazers didn't need another SG. They drastically needed a center. Fun vid. Love me some Drexler!

I feel like Clyde was small forward, and Kersey was shooting guard. But now that I think about it, I think I have that reversed. But Clyde looked like a 55-year-old man his entire career.

Clyde Drexler is my favorite player of all-time. I don't think he is underrated or slept on. You can't be underrated when you are in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, made the 50 greatest list as well as the top 75, and is a 10 time all-star. Someone who is underrated does not have the accolades or the recognition.

He's not mentioned enough, period. Gilbert Arenas said he wasn't a top TEN (NOT FIVE, TEN) SG ever. That's...just dis.re.spect.ful!!?? And I just saw someone say on a clip "to me he's just a Siakim type player, right hand only, can't go left"... Really? Pascal Siakim....,. He's is absolutely underrated. Especially in the bias media.

During the dream team practices, Jordan apparently talk so much trash to Clyde Drexler that he completely broke Clyde's confidence and spirit. It got so bad that the other Dreamteam members went to MJ and told him that you have got to stop with Clyde. He's not going to be any good to the team. Jordan always respected Clyde Drexler and acknowledged his talent and skill. But MJ said that the difference between him and Clyde was mental. He said that Clyde didn't know how to mentally play the game.

In the 90’s we were always looking for someone who could challenge MJ: Barkley, Drexler, Ewing, Stockton & Malone. They were all wonderful players. And MJ always won. Man was MJ a show. Glad to hear he’s on good terms with Clyde.

MJ in the second run had Kukoc and Rodman on top of the other bulls and another superstar in Pippen..plus Phil..no one wins rings solo..its the dumbest argument of all times..KAJ 8 years drought before Magic, CB and KD are the prime examples that individual value has nothing to do with rings..EVEN Dr J 4 finals and 7 eastern finals in 9 years was short of rings because the team was not enough particularly in the paint with Dawkins and Caldwell Jones!

Another alternate timeline is Portland acquire Jordan instead of Bowie and they get Sabonis in 1986 (assuming no Cold War). Imagine that.
