Translation - the east side sucks and is cheap. The west side sucks less and is slightly less affordable. If you want your kids to excel in sports, Bloomington is not the place for you
Shakopee
Who the F wants to move there? 2 year old video with 2 thumbs up might be a clear indication that nobody is blowing your phone up bro. With that said, you did a great job making this video. You seem like someone who's in front of a camera often, like a news anchor or something. Definitely a pro. If your not in high end sales you could be. Have a great day bud.
Just moved here I like Casa Deli🎉
Been 12 years since I’ve gone but my kids and husband reaaaally wanna go.
Matts
You lost me at D fongs and spice Thai cuisine and buffalo tap is overpriced and if you have an hour to wait go for it. B and Pho is legit. Please leave us alone.
You’re welcome. And no, I’m not leaving you alone. Lots of great stuff to talk about regarding Savage
I moved to Prior Lake from Bloomington in 2016, been here almost 8 years now and for me my favorite thing about living here is being able to get on my bike and ride the trails all over the area. It is also a peaceful and safe community, you can go take a walk after dark and the only problem you might run into is the mosquitoes. Prior Lake is a few minutes from Shakopee, which is a little larger of a city, closer to the freeway and they have pretty much everything in the way of shopping, so although there is not much retail within Prior Lake city limits you can drive 10 minutes in either direction and be in Savage, Shakopee or Lakeville where there is everything you need. If I had to move and it had to be somewhere in the Twin Cities area the only other place I would really want to live other than Prior Lake would be Stillwater, that's another small town style suburb that is very nice.
I am a bit surprised neither Biaggi's nor Malone's made your list. And I agree with you on Pittsburgh Blue. Went once and never again. I went years ago. Maybe I'll go back since you say it has improved. I wasn't going to return as the food wasn't anything special and it is pricey.
When my Bride and I moved to Minnesota in 1997 we moved to Eden Prairie. Our favorite pizza place was Gina Maria's. We moved the following year as we were buying a home and didn't want to poor house rich and cash poor. 🤣 We still go to Gina Maria's twice a year and it is about a 40 minute drive each way. We go to Wildfire for lunch and on the way back get a Gina Maria's to go. Perfect day! We have been to Lion's Tap as well but it has been a while. Simply incredible food.
Another cookie cutter Mpls suburb. Festooned with HOA requirements and box strip malls. You can't tell this suburb from Apple Valley or Woodbury. They're triplets LOL
Haha, yea, you’ve got a good point. Suburbs are all kind of the same around here.
As a MG resident, you go to Minneapolis, Minnetonka, Plymouth, Edina, basically anywhere but MG. Or I just cook at home. One exception - Ten Sushi!
You need to keep going East into St Paul. For breakfast, anyway. SO many awesome little places you've never heard of.

Can you do a video on st cloud
Fantastic & informative video!! Never been to Minnesota and have a job opportunity in Bloomington. Moving from the east coast to this neck of the woods, I had a ton of questions but this video answered them all! :) Great job in producing this video and love all the design elements, time width and topics!
Thanks for sharing! I grew up in SLP from 1982 through 2001 in the southwest area of town near Knollwood Mall. It was such a cool place to live as a kid and teen, with 3 parks within one block of my house and shopping areas close enough to ride my bike to, even as a grade schooler. I'd rent video games from Mr. Movies at Texa-Tonka or Blockbuster Video near Burger King, catch home run balls from within the middle of the four baseball fields at Aquila park, hunt for frogs and turtles at Minnehaha Creek, hang out at Knollwood Mall and play arcades at the Gold Mine arcade, sip on Orange Julius near the food court, and so many other great memories. After college I moved to the southern part of the state, then moved again to the Buffalo area in 2019, but on occasion, I'll dip into SLP for a quick tour down memory lane. A lot has changed, yet so much is very much still the same as it was when I was a kid.
Saw you guys wondering why this guy has a camera
Where to eat vegetarian lndian food in Minnisota
12 Years ago i'm Taxi Driver From Minnesota Airport to Maple Grove city .
Don't forget Greek Grille! Hole in the wall Greek place in a gas station, serving the best gyros in town.
Baker's Ribs has the best baked beans I've ever eaten. Love that place.
I grew up in Shakopee. I'll always love the place. My roots run deep there. That being said, I am absolutely disgusted by all of the new construction. Shakopee used to be a big small town and now I hardly even recognize the place, and now the new construction is reaching down as far as Jackson Twp. Soon it'll overtake Lydia and beyond. All in the name of "Progress" but really it's because the mayor and city council want new tax revenue that they undoubtedly get personal financial kickbacks for.
Eden Prairie is basically a restaurant desert. There are so many 'burbs this size that have so many options, but EP has nothing. I've lived here 15 years and as nice as it is, the restaurant scene is lame af.
I feel your pain. Most Twin Cities suburbs are like this… I’ve been in Plymouth for 15 years 😢
I used to work in EP, and they've lost so many good restaurants since I worked there. Granted they were mostly chain places, but Don Pablos, Champps, Ruby Tuesday, and Baja Sol were some of my favorites that are now long gone. There's still decent places to eat, but it's not as good as it used to be.
Carjacking and increased crime?
so real and helpful. thanks!
How are there public Pickleball courts in Edina?
Thanks, Subbed!
Went to Jr high there.. fun city in the 90s.
Can you do a video of Sarazin St in Shakopee? I live in Blaine Minnesota and my last name is Sarazin
Bro, you have great content! Market your work out this way in Orange County! I'm sure somebody's going to want to move to where you are
Nope, I'll stay in Belle Plaine.
I've become very fond of Prior Lake over the years, visiting from the UK. Great coffee and sandwiches in Cafe Edelweiss too.
Great content and great jingle execution. I live in Huntington Beach now and lived in the Minneapolis area after childhood leaving the childhood home in Portland Oregon. Have you done content collabs before?
My FATHER was born and raised in EDINA-and he was unselfish enough to actually serve his country. that's the coolest thing I've ever heard about E dina!!!!
I am Guyanese. I've cheated on my ex's and my parents set me up for an arrange marriage but I was sexting and talking to other non guyanese guys. Im too much of a slut to stay committed honestly, so Ill keep pretending to keep my parents happy.
I just moved here!
Sweet! Welcome to Bloomington. Drop us a note if you have any questions on things to do, places to eat, etc :)
Another memory as you seem to be into hockey. In the 50s, Arnie Johnson decided to start hockey in the BAA. I showed up for the first meeting and it was on Penn Lake. I think that it was lower Penn Lake. It was really cold and my mom made me wear a Parka Hood.... ha.. I don't remember all the kids, but Milt Sundae was there. (he was a few yrs older) We loaded up the coaches cars and headed out to Hopkins for a game. I couldn't go because I was too young. One of the older guys hid me on the floor under a blanket. The coach caught me... damn!
Thanks for all the memories Gary!! I played hockey for Richfield growing up. Lots of games against Kennedy and Jefferson over the years.
Wow, you bring back memories! I was born on 90th and Upton. My dad was a bricklayer and we lived on 8 acres. Next door to us was a huge alfalfa field owned by a Mr. Adelman. We used to hit our baseballs (not intentionally) into that field and had to be careful as there was an electric fence around that huge field. My dad coached the Bloomington Redbirds, and we alwasy had access to balls and bats... ha. A Thomas Haeg was in my class at Bloomington High School in the 60s. I knew of him . I may have played hockey at Haeg Park ??? When I was 12, we moved to a new home on Russell Ave that backed up to Nine Mile Creek. Throughout High School, I worked at Metropolitan Stadium. Mall of The Americas is just an incredible place! Thanks for your video.
I'm stuck in the Bay Area and can't wait to come to the Twin Cites' suburbs. Edina looks fabulous!!
Edina is amazing!! Are you moving here? Or just coming to visit?
@@livinginthetwincities Would love to move. Can't decide...
This video feels so melancholy
Eh, I guess it was a melancholy type of day when I recorded it
@@livinginthetwincities no way, thank you for replying. stupid question what are your thoughts on bloomings north or south meadow
I haven't been in either of them. Location is convenient to getting anywhere quickly, but I don't know anything about the buildings themselves.
Moving to richfield with family of 4 , need one bedroom space below $1000
Richfield is amazing!!! Are you having luck finding a place yet? Feel free to DM me your contact info and I can have one of our agents reach out to help :)
I moved to Shakopee in March of 2022 (love it). I had to laugh at the sound of the nearby train whistle...a train that runs through town and which you surely get stuck waiting for someday...
I am Guyanese. I've cheated on my ex's and my parents set me up for an arrange marriage but I was sexting and talking to other non guyanese guys. Im too much of a slut to stay committed honestly, so Ill keep pretending to keep my parents happy.
I think you missed chick fila🤤 finest cuisine in the city
A chick fila sandwich has 55 ingredients.
I live in Eden prairie And a place I like to eat IS EDEN PRAIRIE McDonald’s
Lol. I guess that’s an option too.
Hi, thanks for the info. I’m just getting into REI and wanted to explore MN. But I’m only looking into creative finance deals, esp seller financing. Do you find such deals in the MN market? Are realtors familiar with this strategy?
Hello. I'd say most Realtors are NOT going to be familiar with this strategy. It is sort of taught during licensing, but they only spend about 15 minutes on it. That said, we are very familiar with it and have used it to buy both real estate and cash flowing businesses. Would be happy to put you in touch with the team if you're interested in talking more.
Yes that would be great. Is the address you provided the best way to reach you?
You missed one, I think. Barzini's Italiano. It isn't a Speakeasy per se, but it does have that feel to it.
Thanks for the recommendation!! We'll have to do that one in a future video
Great video
Devya Jaya Esreepersaud ate up all the food here I heard.
Great video! I grew up in MG 1999-2006. You showed it well!
Thanks for the note!
Love it👍🏼👍🏼Alex is AWESOME 🤗🤗🤗
