Having a match making system would be really good to help learn pvp elements. I'm shit at SoT PvP, but I used to be very good at Halo and Destiny PvP. The difference I feel is that other games have a less intimidating way to engage that aspect of the game. There's less of a panic when you're losing in an FPS match but in SoT youre concerned youre gonna lose HOURS of your grind. Having a low commitment pvp mode would be excellent for the game.

Graymarrow being a pirate for the thrill of it and to satisfy his bloodlust truly makes him the furthest from a true pirate you could be and the furthest from what pirates represent in culture today; reading into the books and the tall tale journals, Graymarrow is representative of the tyranny that pirates are the antithesis of. So Graymarrow is by no means a true pirate in any sense, but rather a faithful depiction of how pirates were portrayed in their time by the wealthy European governments and the merchant elite which piracy threatened (I find it very amusing how ironically hypocritical this portrayal was, considering how many people that social elite abused, hurt, and ruined the lives of to make their lives more comfortable and embellished); violent, greedy, and void of empathy.

Im happy to see newer players enjoying this game cause its brought me so much joy. Sadly the last couple months have been rough and the game has been in a really sad state. Bugs and exploits are crazy. The latest content was disabled. Anything for us older players is at a minimum

Pirates were actually very fond of democracy, they would vote on what to do, they would elect a captain, and a bad captain would get mutinied. Pirates also often were averse to actual combat, for example the infamous blackbeard hadn't actually ever killed someone until his last battle, rather spreading rumours about him being a bloodthirsty monster leading less people to want to fight him

Good points! A skill based mathmaking system does already exist for hourglass, but too little people are playing hourglass for it to work. Basically if it can't find another player who is on your level, it will put you up against a random ship, to make the queue time faster.

I would love to see and update where they add the possibility of having your own city and pirate civilization, that would add progression and the other players would not be affected.

The game is skill based adding more cannons or harpoons would make the game harder for the ppl that are new and skill matched lobbies wouldn’t work for the ppl that are OGs and still playing compared to new players I think arena but way smaller would be great like 4 ships of ur choice so there’s every type of ship fighting

hear me out what we really really neeed is a matchmaking system for every server the only thing that sea of thieves need is to make people meet each other why playing 2 hours without meeting a single player imaging if we got into server where every server is full 5/5 ships wouldnt that make it a blast and suck epic moments and fights would be now the way it is they just throw every one in a diffrent server where he is almost alone wich is what making the game feel soo dead if u ask me ad for hourglass matchmaking what really need to be done is an MMR system which is forthose who dont know its a system that face you with people who has the same win/lose ratio which means if u lost 10 games stright u will meet a person who lost the same or as much as possible at least

Nah. No 10 ships per server please. I do everything to avoid other players in this game. It's difficult enough. I'm just trying to progress, minding my own business and some 5 years player who has already unlocked everything attacks me not even for treasure but just for fun, just to prevent me from doing whatever task I'm trying to accomplish at that moment is not fun. I just want to go on with whatever mission I'm on without being attacked by anyone. That's how I like to play.

Decent points! As a long time player, 8-10 ships is unfeasible. It would definitely cause way too many issues, like hit-reg, server performance (the servers are barely coping with 5-6 atm!) and even the Xbox One playerbase just could not handle it, they would need to do a lot of server maintenance and upgrades and sunsetting Xbox One platform before we can even start thinking about it, but it's nice to dream!

Only thing I want is to have safer seas without getting only 30%. I'm done grinding 2+ hours on my solo sloop only for a galleon with 4 guys to intercept me halfway and ruin my fun. This community can be very toxic.

With so many shorts landing on my feed lately that are nothing but basically pvp sweats whining and crying about how the latest update has ruined SoT forever its quite refreshing to see there are still ppl out there who understand that these games are about having fun....and SoT is tailor made to be a fun with buds experience. I envy new players sometimes.. like they still have that "WOW" view of the game, where everything is new and exciting. Me..? I don't have that view anymore.. after 750 hours of this game.. the game isn't as good anymore.. so I envy the new players of this game cause they got so much to explore and enjoy. So have as much fun as you can in this game as long as you can. Hope you keep having fun with the game for years to come.

Day 1 player here nothing makes me happier than new pirates very fun game

I did a 3 hour tall tale for a cheap looking jacket. I felt defeated. I really do love Sea of Thieves but it needs more stuff to do and fast.

Just wait till the honeymoon phase ends. Its great at first..then you start having to deal with the awful lag and devs. It's getting worse and worse the more content they add because of the engine. They just added crouching to the game and it broke almost everything. You can do a glitched sword lunge now where you can do an insta sword lunge WHILE blocking.

The forts need to be controlable by guilds or pirates and open trading posts and more stuff like a guild house if you claim it ancient coins every week for holding a fort or something

Increasing your level also upgrades your quest loot value too

I'm straight addicted to the combat in this game, especially the naval. I really don't care for the PVE side but hot DAMN do I love PVP. I only have 600 hours but already surpassed lvl 400 in SoTF. There is no game like SoT, for better or worse.

Hey man im a long long time player of the game it's always good to see new player on the sea but not gonna lie this comunity is a litle toxic and newer player often quit fast because of it. What i wana say is even if you get stalked by a full alliance of reaper for 3h straigth dont give up on the game cuz its worth it. Despite me often getting into long hiatus's, I always come back to the game, and is probably gonna be my first game with 1000 hours, since it's already by far the most played game with over 700 hours. Bravo dude, this channel is underrated, and you made a great video about the pros of the game. It may have some cons, but I personally think the pros really outweigh the cons.

Black ops 6 took me away from sea of thieves. zombies is just so damn good and sot is just so damn sot
