Thank you for the video - I am going to try to loosen the passenger panel to allow the flexibility without geting under the side panel. Then I'll try to get the speakers and floor piece out of the way to access the fuel filter assembly. That's the plan to avoid some of the more painful areas..

Hey there. I just saw this video. A good friend of mine has a 2006 Sedona LX that he's willing to work with me $$$ wise because I need something else for transportation. I'm bringing a good friend who's a mechanic with me to look it over this Saturday. The van has an electrical smell coming from under the hood. The van runs and drives, but doesn't overheat at all. It only gives the smell after the engine has warmed up. It has 156,000 miles on it. We're hoping it's not an expensive fix. He had the brakes and rotors done earlier this year. What do you think is causing the electrical smell?

Just removed a starter from 07 Kia Sedona and all I had to remove was the battery tray. Bolt was a straight shot,then under got the other bolt. Starter came out from the top.didnt remove the mount

Great video. I bought the haynes manual and your video included allot more insight and detail about the process. For example the trans dip stick tube, steering column, and power steering are all absent in the book. Everything else is pretty much to the tee, however your starter removal method seems easier.

You wouldn't have to worry about this if you bought a dodge. They wouldn't make it to 100k

5 years later and you've helped me fix my car's horrible vibrating and noise. I straight up thought it was my cv joint but it seems to have completely fixed my problem.

Sooo.... Is the drivers side actuator on the opposite side? I have a 2012 Sedona, the drivers side is going bad. Im looking for an instruction video on that... Im mechanical, but not keen to tearing apart dashes lol. But.. looks like I'm going to have to so i can make a happy wife.

If you do normal 5k oil changes I would think the car would last but if you go by the “factory” recommendations of over 10k then 😂😂😂😂. Or life time fluids 😂😂😂😂

It takes 20 minutes or less to remove the bumper, headlights and radiator core support. Gives you WAY more room to work but also more room to remove the engine.

Where is the driver side one? Same spot?

Had no idea what that was for!! My parents van, windows are always cracked. They had me just zip tie that little latch open to eliminate that problem (no chance of a head in their windows! LOL). Good to know why that latch is there though. Thanks!

Has anybody ever changed internal bearings only? I have a constant rumble and wonder exactly how hard it would be to only change bearings that effect rumbling when car is in drive or neutral rolling. I changed both hubs and the carrier. Not sure anymore what to do other than a swap. Any hints would be appreciated.

Why not just measure how much you remove and put in the same amount of? Too complicated with the goofy overflow straw…

You do NOT need to remove the fender. Remove just the fender liner plastic and take out the glove compartment.... you can fish the cable in the holes.

Great video. Still not sure if i want to mess with it. The shifts are still great and no problems. Have 130k on a 2011. I have had no problems using Valvoline for my honda Odyssey or other vehicles so i agree that as long as a person gets the rated fluid to their vehicle and follow the proceedures correctly, no problems arise from it.

Making noise when it get up 40- 45 mph no check engine still runs good just making noise please help. Thanks

In my opinion, Those aftermarket headlights are ugly ! I’m sure you could have gone for used headlights at a salvage yard for a good price with everything included.

there is no way in hell I would put a 40 weight oil in that van. 5w 20 and you put 10w 40. You must of hated your van. if you wanted to thicken your oil... One court of 10w 30 would of done the trick. Even then I would never do it to a foreign vehicle. High mileage oil at 100,000 on. Personally I use high mileage oil from the day I buy my vehicle. But what do I know? I only work in the lab that does that little thing you want done.

The toyota dealer near me actually uses maxlife transmission fluid, so I'm pretty sure it's fine 😀 (and my car still drives with it, too, so that's good enough for me)

Yeah had that happen to a 1980 pontiac grand grand le mans station wagon back in the day.....going down the interstate.......

My 2011 went 80+K on that ATF and still running great...
