Moving the HO & N Scale Layouts to their (and mine 😁) New Home - MRAw/Bill EP302
มุมมอง 2.4K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
I moved the layout to their new home just recently. Thank goodness I did design and build them all lite weight. That made a huge difference on getting them in and out of the U-Haul truck. Minimal damage from the move just some ballast touch ups and putting details back on and then cleaning the track and getting trains moving again. But… that will wait until I get back from Thailand again. New m...

The local Model Railroad Club will put plexiglass around it to keep little fingers off and then it will be put back together. A lot of exciting developments... but more importantly, have you become a rice farmer, or is that stash of rice a safe storage for the entire village? 🤣 I would make the new layout a dogbone around the walls, you've already made enough islands on the previous layouts. Those served the purpose for the garage space you had. At 13x11 ft you have lots of room to do a dogbone with two turnback loops at each end, and plan it so the doorway is the entryway into the inside of the dogbone. The benchwork can still be 3 ft deep, and larger for the turnback curves, and if you make it stand-alone and in sections, easy to move out if need be (e.g. sold to someone, so you can build another one). Oh, and are you the only railroad modeller in Thailand, LOL?
