Jonathan Bender Highlights
มุมมอง 3.5K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Jonathan had more potential than anyone 1999 draft. He set the McDonald's All-American Game scoring record before the draft and everyone's eyes lit up. He became a nice bench piece for the Pacers in his 3rd season, even starting 17 games. He developed knee problems soon after and was never able to live up to the expectations that Larry Legend had for him. Shout out to Kampuput and NierL Luc for...

This series was pretty forgettable when compared to the other Finals of his career. He didn't really have a signature game in this series, his best being the triple-double in game 6. Now I'm not saying that putting up a triple-double to win the 2nd title of your career in your first 3 seasons isn't great, its just not as cool as getting a 42 point triple double and jumping center to win the tit...
Bill Laimbeer 26 points 6 threes Highlights 1990 NBA Finals Game 2

Big Bill came out bombing near the end of this game to try and seal it for the pistons. Unfortunately the bad boys could not get any stops down the stretch and Isiah Thomas fouled out in overtime. The Pistons would go on to win the next three games in Portland to take home their 2nd straight championship. By this point in his career Bill was a stretch 5 who's main responsibility was walling up ...
Hakeem vs Ewing 1984 NCAA Championship Highlights
มุมมอง 4653 ปีที่แล้ว
We have two future hall of famers, two future #1 picks, and two of the best centers to ever play the game going at each other for all the college marbles. Seriously though, both Hakeem and Pat were limited by foul trouble the entire game and neither made that big of an impact. You can still see glimpses of what made both guys incredible and its fun to watch athletic Ewing before both of his leg...
Kevin McHale's post moves
มุมมอง 107K4 ปีที่แล้ว
A quick highlight video of Kevin McHale and his self-proclaimed post moves, the torture chamber. McHale felt that he could score on anyone on either block and he was correct. The winner of two 6th man of the year awards, and a three-time NBA Champion, Kevin Mchale is an all-time NBA great. Players and fans alike can learn a thing or two by watching his footwork and feel for his defender. Thanks...

What was that Luis Tiant pitch early in Game 1 (after Morgan got a chance to go from 1B to 2B, sadly, on Luis's balk), that struck out Tony Perez? That strikeout happens roughly at 7:19, and it was a called strike 3. Looked like a slider (inside-to-outside slider), but it did not bend too much.

❤❤❤R.I.P. Looey . What a pitcher !!!! What a competitor!!!! As a young man who loved baseball, not only was I enamored by El Tiante' taking on The Big Red Machine of Rose, Morgan, Geronimo, Bench, Foster, Griffey, Perez, Concepcion'....every single aspect of this World Series was amazing. This Series captured & captivated me as a kid. This Series is the azimuth of what and made me a baseball fan forever. The Ed Armbrister play on a bunt, the Fisk HR, Luis pitching, Spaceman Bill Lee, Rico Petrocelli, Yaz, Duey Evans in RF, Fred Lynn in CF (his rookie season), Bernie Carbo. Just two great teams battling EVERY single game. The annoouncers ; Curt Gowdy, Dick Stockton, Tony Kubek, Joe Garigiola made the entire atmosphere more exciting with every play. Everything about this series made this young man a baseball fan forever. Another posted here that this was the greatest World Series....I must admit that the 1975 Series was one of the best, most exciting, exhilarating 7 games I've ever seen. As for any of the younger baseball fans reading this, you must watch any & all footage that may be out there. It is well worth your time to do so. Just a great time to reminisce and remember how baseball once was. I could listen to Curt Gowdy all day long. ❤❤❤❤ Thank you for posting and igniting the memories. MORE MORE MORE❤❤❤❤❤

Interesting that you lost the audio in the 4th quarter. Did you record this on Betamax or VHS? We recorded the game on a Betamax my dad got from work (@KGW) and we played the game dozens of times until a thief decided to relieve us of that terrible machine.

When listening to NBA greats who played during this era (not just analysts), the top 2 guys that were almost impossible to stop in the low post were Olajuwon and Kevin McHale. You also have to look at the number of great big men who were playing during this time because it was the time when there were so many talented big men who are now in the Hall of Fame. It was a great time to be an NBA fan.

Wow! Thanks for posting this clip. I was there at this game. I was in a designated standing-room-only section, which consisted of numbered assigned spots where you stood with your back against the wall along the walkway that was between the lower sections and the upper balconies. Even if I had had a seat, I likely would have been standing much of the game. It was pure, VERY loud pandemonium (about 110 decibels or more) for the entire game, especially in the 4th quarter when it turned into a blow-out. The Blazers had lost the first two games in Philly, so this was the first win of their 4 game comeback. RIP Bill Walton and mighty Maurice Lucas.

The Black Hole as Larry Legend would called him had some of the most devastating and effect low post moves in the paint. He was almost 7' feet tall with those long arms and he could always get his shots off. What a joy to watch him with Larry and Robert to form the best big 3 frontcourt players of all time.

I would have loved to watch the team practice. To hear the comments from each other. To see them push each other to new challenges. To see different variations of simple plays. Kevin and DJ had a two man game that was frighteningly good and so fun to watch. Kevin did pass back to DJ at times. But on those nights where Kevin was shooting 70+% why bother.
