Building a Bushcraft Survival Earth Hut with fireplace inside
Building a bushcraft survival earth hut in a beautiful forest
Hello dear viewers of Think Wilderness, this time I spent some time in a forest to build a bushcraft survival earth hut with a fireplace inside. The soil was mainly clay and good to use for an earth hut. The digging was initially easy but as I progressed, it turned out to be harder. Moreover, my pickaxe was a little heavier as well. Frequent showers in the afternoons disrupted my work.
It took me almost two weeks to complete my project. My only companions were different species of birds chirping melodiously around me, notably cuckoo, thrush and even owls in the night. Enjoy watching the video and consider subscribing to the channel for more such contents to come in the future.

Building a stone and wood survival bushcraft shelter in the woods
This video features my construction of a stone-cum-wood shelter in a beautiful far-off forest. The biggest challenge in building this shelter was to collect stones from a seasonal creek a short distance away. It took me a great deal of time; it was time consuming and labour-intensive. What’s more, there was a tree-dwelling squirrel which not only walked away with my food-stuffs from time to tim...
I built a stone and wood survival bushcraft shelter in the forest
In this video, I will build a stone-cum-wood survival bushcraft shelter in the forest. It took me a while to find out the location where I was to build it. The location was great as there were tall trees, running water, plenty of wood for fire, and moreover, stones to build the hut. I set up my camp among the trees and started planning how to carry out my project. There was a seasonal creek a s...
Camping next to a beautiful river in a remote forest. Roasted chicken for dinner.
I stayed overnight in my camp next to a beautiful river in a remote forest. The location was great, yet a little bit noisy thanks to the river running nearby. Firewood was all over the place. I roasted chicken for dinner coupled with cucumber and tomato. Thank you all so much for watching. I stayed overnight in an abandoned hut far away in a beautiful valley
I was strolling around along a river in a beautiful valley when I caught glimpse of an abandoned hut off the beaten track. Thought it would be a warm place to stay overnight, so I went up there. It was indeed a cozy place; I gathered wood splinters nearby and lit a fire outside the hut. The scene was epic - sitting around the fire, warming up myself and gazing at the beautiful twilight on the d...
Solo camping in a remote snowy forest with cozy nature sounds
I found a suitable location for my camp to set up across a creek in a snowy forest. However, I was late and had to carry out a lot of chores before snuggling down in my warm sleeping bag pretty late in the night. I had fried steak and boiled potatoes for dinner. Though it was cold outside, I was warm and comfortable inside my cozy tent. If you enjoyed this video, please consider subscribing to ...
Caught in a Snowstorm: Surviving -20°C in a Bushcraft Shelter in Heavy Snowfalls
In this video, I will show you how I built a temporary bushcraft shelter in a forest in heavy snowfalls and survived a bitterly cold night. Heavy snowfalls made building a makeshift refuge nearly impossible, but anyhow, I managed to put up the shelter and fried meat for dinner. During the course of collecting wood for the shelter, I even witnessed a pack of wolves in the distance moving up a sn...

Sensacional! Imagino o trabalho!
Great Job! A lot of men don’t have what it takes to drop everything and build a masturbation shack in the deep woods.
Strong construction 💪 to keep out brown bear and Sasquatch.✊
❤❤❤
with such high accumulation of snow flat roof is not good plus stone fire place inside would have been better
Looks great, where is it? Tatra, Carpathians? Caucuses?
Tien-Shan
A fireplace and chimney built into the wall would have been a good idea. Too late to add?

@@thinkwildernessYour region shows you're located in the United States, may I ask what country you are from?
Classic you tube mud pie mortar
I live in Colorado and I have been watching these videos and you have the best one yet. The use of wood and rock is fantastic. Yes time consuming but you have done a great job. My thing is no one makes the structures large enough for me. I'm don't like small spaces. But I hope you enjoy your house for a very long time.
Glad you like them!
Where is this? I would like to do his too the river is incredible.

Given all this hard work. Will you use it again.? See minecraft is real. Epic work. It will stand for a long time
I don't believe you built this alone, you couldn't even roll the huge logs, their is no way you stood them up on your own. But of course you didn't show that part

What was the reasoning behind leaving the bark on all the logs?
Amazing how all of those perfectly cut giant logs happen to be laying about. Even more amazing is how they were suddenly standing upright in their proper positions!
and the stones, heavy...
No rock no stone when is diggng too 😄
I’ve come to conclusion that all these building of shelters is a con, never see how massive lumps of wood are cut,no heavy lifting etc
QUESTION PLEASE: * Without disclosing the details, where are you approximately? * What country? What part of the country? Thanks Retired, Veteran
Tien-Shan, Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬
@@thinkwilderness Thanks!! I love the big forests and all the large rocks and boulders... sure gives you a lot of flexibility in building almost any type of structure that you want! I"m working on about 100 different tree-house designs and the forest you're in would be perfect! In addition, I'm working on an earth-covered "arched" home for my wife and I for retirement. Take care... great project. Amen Retired, Veteran
Looks like a small stable/ animal shelter.
beautiful video and beautiful places. But what country are you in?
Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬
You would be dead from the elements by the time you finished it, if you were relying on it for survival.
I see all the fir/pine needles on the forest floor. He has not cleared the spot where he is making a campfire. In my minds eye I see a conflagration from the fire not being contained in any way 🔥
Thanks for your concern. I not only extinguished the fire each time but also cleared the spot where I had lit it.
He tries so hard to build such a good and strong object and in the end he gets a mud roof that only brings moisture and rots the supporting wood !!!
Super unnecessary and excessive expenditure of wood!! This is called wasting resources, and having very little respect for nature.
Now this is a totally Well Built Shelter! A Work of Archteucture!😊😊😊😊
Glad you think so!
Burn the wood add the ash into the mud mortar when making the walls. Wouldn't that make it stronger?
ok my take on this video 1 you just don't go out in woods and build something like this unless you own the land 2 fun he never showed how he lifted them big logs up they just stood themselves up i'm guessing
