A $50 Phone?! | Let's Take a Look
In today's video I unbox and briefly go over the Moto G Stylus (2023). This is a $60 smartphone being sold at Family Dollar all across the country. It has a good appeal to many people and I am excited to take a step back from the flagships to review a budget phone that anybody can afford.

    I hate my phone. Moto g 5G 2023. It's got a horrible battery life. 5000mah should last longer. But the others I know who have this phone, say the same thing. It never loses connection. Wifi or data. I use battery saver, data saver, no push notification. Like all my phones. The phone is kinda annoying. Watching movies, little annoying. Music on earbuds, little annoying. Holding the phone, little annoying. Very uncomfortable while it's plugged in. It's like the phone was made kinda annoying, so you didn't use while driving?.. . I can charge my earbuds off this phone through C cable. But it doesn't have the battery life to use as a power bank, like my revvl 6 pro I broke. 😢. . This moto slides in the pocket real nice. Maybe this was designed for executive use, like pdf and email? . It's flipping annoying 😠 Ya, best buy 4th of July sale. $140. I bought a 24000mah Power bank for $69 that takes forever to charge. 4 hours. My $45 20000mah bank charges in 40 mins, eBay. The eBay gets more phone charges on it too. . My eBay charger is almost 5 years old. I thought have a backup.

    First, I give you lots of credit for going from using the Oneplus 12 to using a Moto g. Never used it myself, but looking at the benchmarks I imagine its performance doesn't come even close to the Oneplus 12, but still the price tag is a good one. One correction for what you said: Oneplus ships its flagship phones with a high speed charging brick in the box. Mine came with an 80W charging brick that is capable of fully charging the phone in under 30 minutes. Love your video and can't wait for you to tell about your experience with the Moto g.

    Hey, i havent watched the entire video, so I'm sorry if you had mentioned it already, but I was wondering- 1. how is the phone holding up since this review? 2. How are the phone updates? 3. How is the physical durability? As I've heard somw people being annoyed with finding good protectors, cases, and ending up with scratches or expensive repairs due to its inherent curved screen Would appreciate if you could answer any of these!🙏

    • @anthonytech
      @anthonytech 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Since my review I've been dailying the phone and it's held up well As far as updates OnePlus has been good. It's only a month behind the Pixel in security updates and I've had two rather major updates since I've had the phone that has made it feel even smoother In terms of physical durability it's been good. I recently peeled off the "protective" film installed from factory and the display feels so much better. The preinstalled film began to attract excessive fingerprints and dust. From what I have seen, you can only get plastic film protection for the display as tempered glass only works on flat panels. I've used the Spigen liquid air case since day one but the frame of the phone is quite scuffed up. I thought this was concerning but upon watching others unbox it, even those had imperfections on the frame.

    Why this is not a problem for Apple iPhones but Androids only? Until iPhone X for 10 years iPhones were bad with bad battery life and unimpressive features, no matter how much reviewers praised those devices. iPhone users used to say they can use their iPhones for 7 years because they can receive updates and support for a long time and can get better resale values too. So this is the same thing Google and Samsung are promising so Androids too will have longer life and better resale values. For example I bought an S21 Ultra this year after it released three years ago in 2021. Because this phone has still one Android update due and another year of security updates. So I can happily use this phone for next two years. Even after that also it wiil be a capable phone. So nothing wrong in providing updates for 7 years and support. Now S24 Ultras and Pixel 8s hold their value till 2031. That's just awesome. And coming to the hardware capability I think both Google and Samsung take care of releasing lighter versions of updates after some 4 or 5 years so the updates will not slow down these phones. Like how S21 Ultra got less features of AI compared to S22, 23 and 24 Ultras. Only thing concerning is battery life. Google and Samsung like Apple should provide an easy service to replace the batteries. A month back I got replaced the battery of my Note 9 by FixFactory and it's battery life is great now.

      @sidharthshivappa1359 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

    • @anthonytech
      @anthonytech 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      S21 Ultra is still a great device. As I said in the video I'm glad Google and Samsung are going to provide longer support for it's devices. What I really wanted to inform people is that 5-7 years from now the Pixel 8 will have the latest version of Android but it will most likely lack quite a few features the latest Pixel has. I totally agree that Samsung and Google need a more consumer friendly way to get devices repaired. After the 3 year mark most people will need a new battery for sure.

      should have bought gaming phone instead. no phone manufacturer can actually full max the SD 8 gen 3.... even the new phone of Red Magic 9S Pro hits 50c to 60c when they unlocked the full power of the SoC, even it has that tiny fan vent. for me magsafe case + magsafe radiator cooling if i wanna really game on this thing. but mostly i just put it on balanced mode for stable 55 to 60 fps.

    You can tap and hold on the Dynamic Island to bring up the quick controls for phone calls, or many other things like music and timers. A single tap jumps to the app of whatever's running there. It seems like so many people who are primarily Android or iOS long term switch to the other side but don't learn how things work and then complain that said OS sucks when it doesn't work the way there used to.. if you don't want changes to workflow don't switch.

    • @anthonytech
      @anthonytech 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hmmm I didn't know that I feel like there isn't much content covering useful features of devices Good to know that I can tap and hold dynamic island for controls Still, though, it's kind of a hidden gesture whereas on android the controls are there when you swipe down for notification shade which is an action most people do on their phones Why does Apple have to hide useful features behind gestures that people may not think to do

      androids notif panel does that. android always makes shortcuts and quick access to apps you are currently using. tapping the island where the camera is just bad way to do it. but this is the thing nowadays. right is wrong and wrong is right.
