I just looked up lyrics to Things Behind The Sun so I could practice it for a cover I'm planning to do of the entire Pink Moon album in one take, and stumbled across the Mars Volta lyrics, so now I'm here. Not quite the same feeling as Nick, they voltafied it, but it's still eerily haunting. And frusciante played acoustic on this?? Crazy, how someone with such little music inspired some of the greatest musicians we know today

Such a masterpiece.. I love how the guitar beats are sort of like a weight that keeps pounding onto you. Everytime you step up you get pushed down never changing. It's constant and it just reflects the sadness and burdens so effectively

Desde 2010 buscaba esta cancion en esta version que alguna vez la escuche en la radio.

This song has been with me for a while now. I forget about it. But every once in a while I have a dip and insecurity shows it's ugly teeth. And all I can hear is "these are the demons that bite at your soul". That part put such a deep impression on me somehow. That your own negative thoughts and view of your worth is naught but a beast trying to damage your soul. And just like a physical danger, you have to fight and protect yourself from them.

I'm just straight up about to kill myself. See y'all.
