Wait, so we’re feeling all patriotic over a film about non corrupt press through a Hollywood film depicting upstanding journalism whilst the truth is that the media/press is owned by a minority of wealthy bankers, etc. whom peddle propaganda, lies and trifling, negative slants on the truth? Great acting and a well written script…but…yawn as far as the attempted propaganda!!

One hell of a good movie, acting was fantastic.

He never apologized to his wife. So selfish. He feels guilty but not sorry. It was the model that broke up with him. She cared more about his family than he did. Jane Wyman is so pretty.

Bogart is the only man I’ve seen that can pull off a bow tie.

It was conscience whistling. Don't understand why the 1st wife knew and still took it. Clever wives only after the fact that is. Sad how the home became just a house when love is gone.

Surprisingly good and satisfying movie. I’ve seen dozens of these old forgotten, black and white crime and noir movies. This one stands shoulders above the rest.

Humphrey Bogart performed excellent for being in pain with Cancer. Very well written Manuscript, love old movies! Time to live here on this earth goes by way too fast, it's a damed shame we must die to go to heaven. Why must it be this way. What was the Lord Jesus thinking of. I love living, I love life. Only thing I hate is aging & dying. It's horrifying.

I didn’t appreciate HB until recently. Too much Casablanca, Maltese Falcon and African Queen. Recently watched Beat The Devil with fantastic comedic performances by all. What a gem.
