    Unfortunately, many of the listed perennials get fried here in the Central Texas heat. Some will do well in the early part of spring and part of the fall, but the rest of the time they will either wither or stop flowering during the hot period. Salvias are one of the exceptions, and thankfully, there are a wide variety to choose from. We've also had good luck with Gregg's Mistflower, which is native to Texas, and several of the Agastache. All of those are perennials.

      Constance spry by DA is a great option especially if you want to grow on a fence for screening. It has large leaves and lots of thorns so will be helpful for protection too. You just might want to be careful if you have kids. The only thing about it is that it blooms only once in summer and is not repeat flowering. This is their tallest climber. Malvern hills and The lady of the lake are two other options for Rambling roses that grow quite tall so will work well on a fence as long as you train them well.

      @AmritaBhortake 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      For flowers: Salvia a a great option for lavender and blue flowers, a good option is Salvia nemorosa 'Caradonna' (Sage) and you can combine them with a grass like Stipa tenuissima (Mexican Feather Grass) or Phalaris arundinacea (Variegated Ribbon Grass) that is variegated with white and green colors. Hope that helps!

    Love it when you say, Heliotrope ? ...what the hell is a Heliotrope ? Same here ! ... But the Myrrh fragrance in roses doesn't smell like the perfume Myrrh. it is so much more... weird and difficult to put into words, If you can think of banana, vanilla, with the strange essence of wax shoe polish, {here's where the myrrh comes in.} if you ever smelled Geranium essential oil, this has a little bit more of that strange scent...than the shoe polish. It is such a strong identity that people either love or hate it. i myself love it for a distance smell, like just walking by...it teases the nose, where up close it can be offensive to others. It's the "Monet" of perfumes. Wonderful from a distance, a mess up close ! The older varieties like Fair Bianca, had it...strongly ! but none of the newer ones have it that strong...which i think is intentional. Good luck with your roses ❣

    • @AmritaBhortake
      @AmritaBhortake 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hahaha so true about Heliotrope. I still haven't found it in person. I recently found it online. You might be right about the newer roses and the strength of fragrances. They are definitely a lot weaker than the older roses.

      @AmritaBhortake Proven Winners have them available. I think about 5 different varieties. Perfect accompaniment to a Lady of Shalot. Augusta, Incense, Atlantis, Marine and Aromagica are the variety names.

      Sure thing. I am using a lower and lean method to grow the tomatoes and absolutely love it. Here is a longer video on how I've grown my tomatoes in a small space: th-cam.com/video/KJIuNc16z2E/w-d-xo.html Please let me know if you have any other questions and I would be happy to answer.
