Ultimate Virtual Tour Work Flow - Virtual Private Server to Host Your 360 Tours
Hi all!
This video is about how to set up a virtual private server so you can host your own virtual tours and have full control over everything with access to the back end. It's a bit boring but it's necessary if you want to save some $$$ since 3D vista chargers WAY too much.
Here are some useful links and text to follow along with the video:
For the SSL certificate command you can use this command sudo /opt/bitnami/bncert-tool or visit this website for more details: docs.bitnami.com/aws/how-to/generate-install-lets-encrypt-ssl/
For settings up restrictions you can put these lines in the htaccess.conf file:
Header always set Strict-Transport-Security: "max-age=31536000" env=HTTPS
Header always set Content-Security-Policy "upgrade-insecure-requests"
Header always set X-Content-Type-Options "nosniff"
Header always set X-XSS-Protection "1; mode=block"
Header always set Expect-CT "max-age=7776000, enforce"
Header always set Referrer-Policy: "no-referrer-when-downgrade"
Header always unset X-Frame-Options
To access your word press instance follow this guide to obtain your password: lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-quick-start-guide-wordpress
Any questions please ask!

Ultimate Virtual Tour Workflow - Editing 3D VISTA Skin (part 2)
มุมมอง 6K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is part two of two (maybe?) for creating, editing and publishing a virtual tour using 3D Vista. Might be a bit slow for some of you but this video is geared towards complete beginners! Link to the tour: www.360virtualtourhosting.com/VirtualTours/Shop3D.ca/index.htm Instagram: 360tourdudes
Ultimate Virtual Tour Workflow - Creating a 3D VISTA virtual tour (part 1)
มุมมอง 11K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is part one of two for creating, editing and publishing a virtual tour using 3D Vista. Check out this video for how I edit my photos before importing into 3D Vista: th-cam.com/video/0Lo1kIIleqY/w-d-xo.html
Ultimate Virtual Tour Workflow - Editing 360 Pictures
มุมมอง 3K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is my editing stack for virtual tours. Taking you from start to finish of how I edit my photos. The stack: 1. Adobe Lightroom Classic 2. Topaz Denoise AI 3. Adobe Photoshop 4. Topaz Gigapixel AI 5. Use in virtual tours Simple, efficient and easy!
The apps folder was not present @ /home/bitnami Any suggestions?
Got it figured out, for some reason the instance did not deploy correctly and failed to create the /opt/bitnami/wordpress/ directory. Deleted the instance and started over. Learned that ~/wordpress/ has been moved out of ~/apps/ in 6.*.* so just created the ~/VirtualTours/ at /opt/bitnami/wordpress/VirtualTours/.
@@joshuagoodfellow7554 thanks!!, this really helped me. How did you go about the ? I can't find the htaccess file
could you explain what differences there are using a 360 3D camera like the insta360 pro 2 that captures stereoscopic images
Awesome thanks men!!!!
HARD work for sure ! ;)
Hi, How you create FOV in your 1st picture of tour
The Apps ----> Word Press ----> htdocs (what if I dont see the Apps part?)
Did you ever figure this out, trying to follow along in 2024 and this is my issue as well.
i would make so much thanks to your tutorial, this was so helpful for a newbe hosting their virtual tour. wish you good luck always
thanks! hope that u can lower the bg music it's a bit distracting.Better yet, remove the bg music after walkthrough is done
3dvista hosting costs nearly $400 per year for a measly 1GB storage. It is not expensive. It is commercially prohibitively unaffordable.
😂😂😂
@bldtv7038 did you figure this out yet? I'm curious how you managed this. I'm a small photographer looking to start offering 3dvista but the high hosting fees made me start searching for other options. What did you decide to do?
@@JustAnotherChannel100 Hi. I figured it out yes. I took the 1gb storage limit offered by 3dvista. The saving and hosting is easily done. The solution tbh is compression. You’ll need to compress your 360 images to a level that they don’t lose their quality. That’s a trick in itself btw with a lot of testing and uploading to determine results, I was able to fit appropriately fifty 360 images to the 1gb allowance.
We miss you man
Will be back!
Does 3D vista work better on Mac or pc?? Have you used vista on Mac?? Thank you
It does! I use it on a Mac
why you stopped man ? Did the business failed you ? Or is it the small amounts of views ? You have to keep it up !
Honestly just life man! I’m moving and I got married. Will restart once I’m settled!
I am stuck at connecting my domain to my lightsail ip Address. Somebody help
Please can you share your 3Dvista pro setup.. can't afford it at the moment 🙁😔
While creating an instance on lightsail, why is your platform Linux and not Microsoft windows since your computer looks like windows to me?
Good question! We’re just using it as a server so it doesn’t really matter, it just needs to run our Wordpress site ans have some storage. Windows instances are usually more expensive.
@@360TourDude and is there any way we can connect with you over zoom and get help from you?
Thanks for video. Vista is ultimate difficult software, I hope that sometime somebody make more easily version about that. Now it don’t use JPEG and TIFF-pictures easy.
I don't think people understand the amount of detailed information crammed into this 12 minutes video! This is so awesome. He points you in all the right directions. Thanks man.
My pleasure!
Great videos...Thanks...Did you publish part 3?
hi, can you help me? i can't see the preview, every im click the preview button its just blank screen
Hi Ariza, only time that happened to me was when I started off with a blank template and didn't have any pictures loaded in. Maybe that's the reason? Otherwise, maybe it's a software/hardware issue, try reinstalling 3D Vista maybe?
so how would you deliver the tour to a client who wants to embed it on their site? Does that require 3dvista's paid hosting service??
I have a video covering just that. Check it out!
Hi Felix, I am struggling to access htdocs as my files seem to be arranged in a different format. Also, could you make a video on a way to host on EC2 instance as lightsail instances are limited to Wordpress websites.
Really good Vedio.
Thanks dude can I ask what tripod you had for your camera please 🙏
Thanks dude!
Thank yu for sharing the valuable information.
yes hi hello, plase explain how u r so cute. thanks u bye
Superb video. I always run my Ricoh Theta SC2 images through Topaz Denoise AI and it does great job by improving the overall image quality and sharpness. I rarely use Gigapixel as it takes too long compared to Denoise AI.
Hey Glad i found your videos. you're doing great job. I know how to shoot 360 photos as i have insta 360 one x2 and also basic editing. i watched this 3D vista soft video but the subscription is high as beginner can you help me with some other software for creating tour
Hi there, will you consider Sharpen AI or Gigapixel when comes to final edit? I find that insta360 onex2 quality looks average and im curious if those 2 software will help enhance quality of pano. Cheers
Hi Kelvin! Yes absolutely. I used to have the Insta360 OneR and it’s basically a must to do some post processing. I think I saw that photoshop has a better tool these days, something along what gigapixel does, so if you already have photoshop, check that out first! Cheers Felix
@@360TourDude thats great i would like to know which tool or plugin in photoshop. I can google tutorial and do up test.
Awesome info. Thankyou
Thank you for this information, very helpful. I'm starting my own Virtual Tour business and hosting was a hurdle for me, thanks for helping me jump over it.
No prob! Good luck
Hey Great channel. I have a question. We will like to create our own virtual tour but any web sowtware we find have the virtual tour located inside your host, matterport and other. Do you know how to do or englighting me on what software can do this? In other words we will located on personal server or in another host service but with full control over the source. Thanks
Hi Dario! I have a video on how to host your own tours here: th-cam.com/video/eZfcOq7l3Cw/w-d-xo.html Gives you complete access over your own resources.
Awesome video tutorial but what 3D Vista version you have, because I think mine is an older one I don’t have the same interface whit yours
Hi great Video is it possible to turn the hot spots around for example taking the arrow which is looking forward to turn it around so it looks back? thanks
Yep. You have full control on which direction the texture is pointing. Can resize/rotate and move it anywhere.
@@360TourDude cool thx and how do I do it? Because when I select the hot spot I can only resize it. Thanks
Great info! thanks.
Great video. Exact same workflow I have minus using Denoise. I found that Gigapixel worked best by itself.
I find it depends on the camera. The 360 one R I used to have needed it. The Z1 not so much!
@@360TourDude I use the Insta360 One X. Good camera to start out but I do plan to upgrade to the Z1 some day when they are available again.
I see you are a fellow Canadian. I'm out in BC!
nice video
Great video. I am looking to start offering virtual tours and find that 3d vista offers a great professional looking tour. I have been contemplating on what software and hosting I want to use and was thinking about self hosting on AWS. Look forward to a video on that. I work in IT and have some experience with AWS, just don't know if it is worth managing that instead of letting 3d vista do it.
Hi Travis, def worth using AWS. Once it’s set up, it’s really easy to maintain and update. Aiming to release that video next week!
Awesome video but that hat ... why? post more videos without it dude great work
Haha noted!
Great video!! Looking forward to the next one!
Thanks!
Nice Video. I also use 3DVista but use my own server, because indeed It is a little bit expensive to host it on the 3DVista server. Looking forward to your next one!
Thanks Yorgos! What server do you use? How do you like it?
im still decide which virtual tour software to use. Metareal, Matterport, Kuula & 3D Vista.
I think Metareal can become a real contender but from my experience it is too involved and time consuming. Kuula is just too simple, I started there. Matterport is too expensive and the options for customization are meh. So here we are with 3D Vista lol
@@360TourDude 3D Vista are we able to generate floor plan with dimension / scale. I need measurement feature badly because most of my client are renovation & interior design firm.
@@nicksonchang3301 there’s no option for measurement as far as I know. I think for that you’d want Metareal, matterport, or Cupix
@@360TourDude Thanks Dude. Btw which 360 camera you are using? Quality looks good
Using the Theta Z1. I switched from the Insta360 One R. The quality on the Z1 is better but I have to say that the user experience with the Insta360 is way better.
FInally!!! Great video. Funny thing is that I have a similar workflow, just only using Topaz Ai. I thought about gigapixel, but didn;t see a huge difference. Do you have a some samples of non gigapixel verses ones done with Giga?
It’s a huge difference! I’ll make a quick video about it, it’s in the works. But basically it adds a massive amount of clarity as you’re looking around. No blurry weirdness!
Does 3D VISTA offer better customization and overall experience than Pano2VR? Thanks
Hi Alex, From my research I’m pretty sure both 3D vista and Pano2VR can generally do the same things. My main reason for choosing 3D vista was because I felt the user interface was a bit more straight forward and there were more presets for skins and also examples along with tutorial videos. Hope this helps let me know if you had more questions!
