These leagues are actually sponsored by the betting companies themselves. I suspect they are scripted and the "players" are just actors.
Do you think WTT taking over most of table tennis from ITTF is a positive change for table tennis?
@@PraisePrayPeace I like some things WTT has done. WTT has made the sport look more appealing and I love how available they have made their events to watch. However, some of the rules and organisation of events are tough on the players. Without the best players in the world all competing in WTT, it's bad for the sport. No FZD, Chen Meng or Ma Long at the next world championships is not a good thing!
@TableTenniswithAsh thank you
Hello
@@PraisePrayPeace hello!
I have fixed matches informer .... But you don't bet more than 1000$ per match
@@Cryptosquad_1 interesting. Are they a player or someone who organises the fix?
You could not have said it any better
@@GhanaTableTennis thank you! There's always room for improvement though 😁
I wonder how much of their retire reasons are from the ghoulish training regiment that is forced on them.
Yup, professional sports are pretty brutal and I imagine some players just want a break (hopefully without getting fined!)
@@TableTenniswithAsh Some people have even suggested bullying.
@@krissalkond interesting. I hope that's not the case
They don't mind ranking points deductions but don't agree with money fines.
Theres no way people dont throw matches 😂 theres a reason hard rock always gives bonuses to mainly table tennis. Its a way to hook someone winning to much on their site
The Champ should always get a chance (wild card if needed) to defend the title. Fix it to the next og please!
In the Chess world, they recently bent the rules to accommodate Magnus Carlson. They should adjust the TT rules. You can't lose the best player FZD.
That's OK, Chinese Super League, German League, and probably the UK or French League will be beneficiaries of FZD playing for money, and good on him.
The power of the leagues could grow out of this. Yup, all the best to FZD
Lin Gaoyuan recently joined a German club in the league
Wtt is started by Chinese. Why the nonsense now..
I just went 0-12 in live table tennis 😂😂😂fixed for sure
@@Carsrus007 yup, rigged!
But i think blame has also be put on the ctta for blocking chen meng, fzd, ma long for benefit of ln shidong and wang chuzqin
Could be! What goes on behind the scenes within CTTA is a mystery to me
Blocking from ctta is the main reason, of course). Recall that Liu Guoliang is the wtt chairman also.
@@ncrean66 interesting. I guess we will just have to wait and see how this all develops
actually for the benefits of other countries' associations to diminish chinese winning rate and also WTT business to attract more participants and viewers from other countries😁
@dongiovanni8899 maybe there's some silver linings from this. However, I think this is not the end of the story!
Players are not salaried employees of the WTT. WTT is powered, solely, by the talent and hard work of the players. At the moment, Steve Dainton and his cabal at WTT are treating international Table Tennis as their personal fiefdom, and the players as their serfs. This needs to stop. I hope the players get together and form a union and fight for their rights. Also, it's a shame that hardly anyone batted an eyelid when Quadri Aruna was fined. Thanks a lot for speaking about him! And of course, kudos to both Chen Meng and Fan Zhendong for taking this bold, bold step. They made sure everyone knew what a pathetic bunch those at the top of WTT are. Anyway, it would be a real shame if we never get to see Fan Zhendong and Chen Meng in international events again. While I am at it, might as well say the side camera angle utterly sucks. Rant over.
@@manasg.a.202 some pretty fair points there! I like your line that "WTT is powered, solely, by the talent and hard work of the players". It's so true, particularly when it comes to players like Quadri. The man has carried a continent!
I had to stop watching TT when side angle was introduced
I have seen a lot of matches where the better player lets the worse player win 2 sets and 6 points, and then he starts to win point after point, humiliating him until he wins the match. I don't know how betting companies like Bet365 still work with these leagues. It's not all about the money
These leagues are actually sponsored by the betting companies themselves. I suspect they are scripted.
Nowadays, those polaks and russian leagues are all fixed... maybe 7 years ago you could find any fixed match... now you can find 1 in 10 which is not fixed
in my honest opinion I feel that long pips give any player a tremendous advantage . That's why I have just changed my bat to long pips
@@barrycroucher602 it certainly throws opponents off who aren't used to it. I speak from experience, losing to old guys who can barely move who use pips. Best of luck with the switch!
I am reading Ping-pong diplomacy right now and it is so interesting. I will be looking into Klaus Fusch next.
@@ievastrolyte1057 Ping-Pong Diplomacy was a big part of my inspiration/researchfor this video. So many interesting little stories that run parallel to Ivor's life
They are indeed a force to be reckoned with. You mentioned Kim Hyok Bong who won the Mixed Doubles title with Kim Jong in 2013. He also beat Joo Sae Hyuk at the 2012 London Olympics. I believe he's now the head coach for the current North Korean team. He was at both the Paris Olympics and Asian Championships as coach. As for Kim Kum Yong, she has the potential to become the next world champ. True, she hasn't met Chen Meng or Wang Manyu who as somebody mentioned here, are known to eat long pips players for lunch. We'll just have to wait and see. But for now, I'll go with KKY.
@@chosett it does appear Kim Hyok Bong is the head coach (or a man who is the spitting image). That definitely gives them some experience on the sidelines that the players themselves lack. No doubt Team China will be studying KKY's game very closely. They are good at that! Yep, we'll just have to wait and see
Long pips players have the initial advantage. After a few more encounters, a long pips player won't be much a threat. Besides, Kim Kum Yong has not encountered Chen Meng or Wang Manyu yet. Both Chen and Wang are known to eat long pips players for lunch.
@@benthekeeshond545 it could well be the case that Chen Meng and Wang Manyu will have no issue with KKY, so the draw in draw could play a big part
Very informative, great work!👍👍

I mostly trade in Czech liga pro I see stats before placing trade but good information
The most rigged sport in any sport. 1v1, keeps it simple, simple is the nature of the sport too, hell I used to play locally and was decent. It isnt the same to rig an 11v11 football match as it is to rig a 1v1 hitting a small ball around. Fonbet supports it all, has a 1k bet limit. Fonbet is Russian. 😂
good
My first time finding out about this i lost like $600 then turned mt last 250 ish dollars to like 13k in one night live betting on table tennis. Can you please talk about the potential match-fixing considering how disappointed the coaches looked when Chen Meng won?
@@3dprintworld503 China certainly has a past on things like this. However, I don't think there was anything funny going on this case. I think the disappointment from some of team China is that they are fully behind project Sun Yingsha and Chen Meng upset the party. It seems that Chinese fans too just aren't as warm to Chen Meng as they are with Sun Yingsha
@@TableTenniswithAsh Even so, that's just so sad. Imagine winning gold and your entire team doesn't even congratulate you.
@@3dprintworld503 yeah, it was a little sad. Chen Meng deserves a lot of respect!
@@TableTenniswithAsh [1] Re "match-fixing"? Nawwww; [2] Re "SYS's fans"? SYS's fans are 1/2 decade apart from ChMeng's fans and due to socio-econ devt in China, those fans are relatively wealthier and can spend more time & money idolizing the deemed superstar; [3] Re "sombre mood": SYS's sponsors were ready with their narrative in their pre-planned A&Ps but ChMeng disrupted their proceeeding? 🤭🤭🤣🤣
Well this didn't age well
Zhang, followed by Deng..... it's more than stats or win numbers, it's how the players get those stats and wins. Zhang just put fear in her opponents, destroy everything.....
After winning the gold in the men's singles at the Paris Olympic Games, Fan Zhendong completed his career Grand Slam, becoming the sixth male table tennis player in the history of table tennis to achieve the Grand Slam (Olympic Games, World Table Tennis Championships, World Cup). This was a great game I didn’t see the Chen meng win coming, can put it down to experience and mentality maybe? Can you make a video on S.G. Pyong of North Korea? I find it insane that she was able to take hiyata (the clear 3rd best female in the world) all the way to seven sets and gave her an even better fight than Shin Yu Bin in the bronze medal match. If this happened in any other sport people would be losing their minds lol

@@minnchi5125 North Korean sport is fascinating
@TableTenniswithAsh Yeah I mean they're very competent in the few Olympic sports they do compete in. My friend was like "North Korea has sports?" 😆 I was like ikr?
20 year tradition has been broken, really amazing. In my eyes the broken bat isnt an excuse for wangs lost. Pros usually have 2 or 3 copies of the exact same racket for those szenarios. Also they change cobstantly changing their rubbers 3-5 days. So the argument that he had to addept to his new racket is just false. Pros should be used to changing their racket, people are reacting like he change fron zlc carbon racket with dignics rubbers to a beginner racket. I morely think wang lost because of his mentality and moregardhs playing style. Wang didnt looked well in his game and missed a lot of his forehand top spins and backhand flick. The chinese also have a weakness for non-conventional play. When wang chuqin was playing wang yang he had big problems in the first set and he needed to adapt later on. Or when the chinese women team nearly list to india at wttc busan. Moregardh playing style is very different involving a lot of chop blocks and his super special serve, something players are usually not used to fight against. I think those factors combined explain why in the end wang chuqin lost. (Also moregardh mentality today was on top today, like this man went on killer mode 💀)
@@RoamuopiaDefinitely, WCQ shouldn't have let a broken bat affect him but he was so mad after that final! A wild over reaction. Watching Truls play is always a delight PS: thanks for your comments as always!
Also, after his loss, WCQ clarified that it wasnt the broken bat that led to his loss... he blamed himself only. Another thing to note: after his loss, WCQ warmly shook hands with Truls and said "Good Match", and that i think is such a huge display of humility and grace coming from a chinese player who has just lost. My respect for him just multiplied manifold 🙏🙌❤
