มุมมอง 9K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Let’s start the morning off right by making a cup of coffee using fresh ground coffee beans and using the pour-over method with my Stanley pour-over. I will be testing and using a brand new grinder and beans that I bought from Firebox Stoves. #fireboxstove #coffee #campcoffee #camping #stanley #coffeegrinder #campstove #coffeebeans #pourovercoffee #firebox

Join me in my first video as I make breakfast in my backyard using a Trangia alcohol stove. I’ll walk through the system I have as I whip up a delicious omelet. Thanks for stopping by ☺️ #Trangia #alcoholstove #backyardbreakfast
That wick is totally wrong and messed up. It needs to be very properly trimmed.
Excellent! Well made.
You can get a Trangia strainer/ cutting board great plus protects the non stick frying pan better. Cheers Steve from Australia
Very good no time wasting 🎉🎉
Thank you
Thank you so much!! 🙌
❤❤❤
Excellent, so simple when you know how. Thank you
Extremely well done! Thanks a lot!
How many times did you need a refill?
Great video! Thanks!
Are there any of these still 3:04 being made in America? I've looked and haven't had any luck.
Yes just ordered one from Lehman’s of Ohio. Buy the German made Feuerhand baby. Comes in many lovely colors.
Bless you - had no idea how to do this 😂
Thank you for teaching me
WOW an excellent video - well done....have a great day
Thats nice but you need the pan closer to the flame...around an inch to an inch and a half is better.
thank you for this!
recently received mine, used 1 oz fuel to do up a quarter recipe of crepes.
Can we talk about the real star of the show? Those heirloom rainbow carrots were beautiful! Also i just found your channel. Do you plan on doing more, or did you give up on it?
Do you have to have dedicated scissors for the wick trimming? Would not want dirty my scissors and/or kitchen brush in toxic lamp oil.
That was really a wonderful video presentation. Thank you so much😊
That's just saved me a lot of faffing! 😃 You're awesome, thank you!
Thank you Rachel!
Carry my alcohol stove everywhere
Well done great first vid 🎉
Just what I needed! Clear and to the point.
This is the best video on how to change the wick. Straight and to the point. Thank you so much! 🤗
Brilliant. Thank you so much
This may be the most thoroughly concise videos I’ve ever seen. Well done.
Brilliant, thank you! No mucking about with a long intro, just told me everything I needed to know!
Thank you! 🙂
Hey rachael does the wide wicks last longer than the round ones?
👍👍👍 Well done on your first posting .. and may your Trangia give you much pleasure 😊. A tip, if I may please? Cut a circular piece of heat-resistant silicon mat to fit snugly inside the pan. This will afford additional protection for the pan non-stick surface during storage and can also be used to set down hot pans on 'heat-sensitive' surfaces. Yep, no pepper .. a 'rookie' mistake usually not repeated 😏.
I use 2 Tblsp per 6 oz of water that would 5be to weak of strength for me.
Nice one! Was getting frustrated trying to work out how to replace the wick until I watched this video!
Watching from Australia. What a great video. Keep it up and I am looking forward to watching your next video.
Is it possible with these lanterns to turn the burning wick down into the fuel tank and set it on fire?
Absolutely no chance of that happening, in fact to extinguish it you need to turn down the wick.
Great video. John in Alberta Canada
Good video awesome omelette just add some herbs
No disrespect but I have Trangia mini and Trangia 27 great for outdoors, but being honest for breakfast easier to go Golden Arches for brekkie
Perfect thank you.
Hi. For a clean burning operation you needed to do two things first. First trim the wick level or with a slight curve, ie. Trim corners so that any stray threads are removed. Then soak the whole wick by dipping it into the fuel before threading in the wick holder or after threading in place wait for the fuel to permeate up the wick to the top of the wick, maybe about 10 to 20 minutes. No smoking will occur then. If smoking occurs wind the wick down as low as possible and let it burn in for several minutes. Smoking will cause lamp black occurring on the inside of the glass. It is easy to clean off when cool. I love these machines.
I'm glad you mentioned "curve" trimming the wick, most people don't.
Are you using isopropyl alcohol? The stoves take either denatured alcohol or heet in the yellow bottle. I suggest heet, it’s widely available and works great. It doesn’t leave soot at all.
Thanks for the info. It was denatured…Kleen Strip-Green denatured alcohol. An eco friendly clean version of their regular denatured alcohol.
@@thebackyardcamper1268 excellent choice
Thank you so much for this excellent video. Greetings from Denmark. ❤❤❤
Hello! Thank you so much for watching ☺️. Hope all is well in Denmark.
TRIM the wick to straight perfect line across!
You could bevel the wick or triangular the wick apparently SķuStyle
