I'd like to see the noisemaker.

There's a way to cheat this game, just as the ball flies out of one of those top 2 eject holes, give the game a heavy shove, like a bang, with the palms of your hands and the ball will jiggle and fall back into the eject hole. You can do this as many times as you like to run your score up to replay

Looks like the game needs to be dropped down a degree.

I have the same game but the mines at the top on mine and the lights won’t alternate. I know which relay it is, but I can’t figure out what Pulses the relay. Any help would be appreciate.

Jackpot & Super Jackpot call outs sound like the one from Attack From Mars. Also, at one point I heard a few bars from the Outrun (80s arcade game) soundtrack. Just as I was posting that I heard some AC/DC. Custom sounds for the win, lol.

There is a new update for STTNG (LX-8) which among other fixes etc. now allows you to randomize the caves in the holodeck simulation. Free to download.

I always wanted to add this game to my collection of 40+ machines, but never came across a nice enough original condition machine in excellent shape that would blend in with the rest of my line up. Gottlieb only made a couple of games with four 3” flippers, which to me make for a great player. I have a Gottlieb Big Hit that has the Four 3” flipper arrangement and absolutely the game. Thanks for sharing this awesome video on the terrific player!

The problem with LX-8 update is it won’t register my high scores after getting my initial high scores. Super frustrating

It is indeed a game of skill. Really enjoyed you guys playing this. With my fave old game -- Spin Out -- I could win up to 9 games in a single game. At the time I was playing it (50 years ago) I had no money, so being able to win games was important. As you say, the operators probably lobbied to change how many games were given out, with things like ball save giving more value to the worst players.

Love these early solid states. Not getting ripped off on drop targets.

That right flip needs some love... He's made the necessary adjustments, which is impressive. But thing looks pretty limp (which I used to hate), not possible to dig any close ones out of center drain - so frustrating
