Hi, what are your thoughts on the FS300C by Neewer?

Amaran link broken. Does not work. Looks like they no longer have a "store" but direct you to other dealers now.

so just watched the video , the neewer looks pretty promising , really promising tbh , but i will probably still go with the amaran ( it just looks good ) and the colors seemed much more consistant in terms of fall of and bright spots ( maybe just placebo )... Btw you should probably check out the Godox litemons la300r ?

okay , i am intrigued to see the video, but the neewer looks hedious , the amaran looks SOOOO GOOOD specially in white

okay weird question how do they differ from something like the godox lc1000r or the zhiyun fiveray f100 ? i mean i get that they do come with a handle and meant to be held but is there any difference in use ? as they are way brighter than these types of tube lights

we need a video for all kind of modifiers and what are the best ones to get

so looked into your newer videos , i have literally 0 lights as of now , just some regular house hold RGB Leds , Some warm white Leds and a RGB Tube , and i am thinking about spending around a 1000$ on my lights so i think i know what my set up should be like , i am thinking about buying the Amaran 300C that would be sufficient for all kind of scenarios , and 2 ace 25c for ambiance and rest of the money will go towards stands and modifiers

I have 2x 100d + Fersnel lens + Barn doors, a 300c, Spotlight SE and Smallrig RA55, RA85 softbox and like all stuffs. All works fine... easy to use... and the Sidus link is also good option for controlling the lights. Thank this review.

Well done! “Don’t take rejection personally” really resonates with me. As you described there are so many reasons you might experience rejection that don’t have anything to do with you personally. I saw this a lot when we were auditioning people for animation projects. Often times we chose someone because they offered contrast to another actor that was already locked in. For live action, you might be the best actor in the room, but your 3 inches taller than the lead actor. Not your fault but still hurts. This is filled with good advice, Mark! You’ve become a wise old man.

I REALLY enjoyed this video. I would love to attend NAB; so I could have lunch or dinner with you. I appreciated learning a bit more behind the guy on the screen that gives me gear suggestions. Thank you and wish you continued success in 2025. BTW, I’ve been considering those same options to address my “chin.” 😂

Good Video but.....I find the Pod mic USB handles plosives much better that most microphones so it might be the way your saying your P's, if you put your hand Infront of your mouth and say peter piper, when you can do that feel no or verry little air hitting your hand the problem will be fixed or hugely improved. i practiced that and I no longer need a pop filter or wind screen with most microphones.

I tested it a day earlier (no purchase) and it worked then. Did they shut it down an hour early? Can you possibly extend it? Thanks for all your great videos.

Thx, for the review, exactly what I was looking for. My personal conclusion is 1x Aputore for outdoor and 2x Amaran for indoor fun :)

This "broadcast-like quality" flour of sound is pre-amp built-in and calibrated by manufacturer. You have similar button on VOLT audio-interface (but analog). You might get this on the software side of things instead. And you might turn this off inside Shure, it's just has it "on" by default settings. If you record musical instrument or voice for music you definitely won't any kind of colouring on to of your original signal. And price difference defined by USB compatibility 'cause RODE literally had to put the whole audio-interface into the mic to make it possible. So you just buying mic and sound card. Check the price for SM7b :)

Had an F22c and the fan was a deal breaker. Wish you could turn it down/off, and in exchange I’d happily accept a far lower output limit. Like you I’m in a small studio. The fan was the only one in there, and I have a ton of gear. Even if I could remove it in post, it drove me nuts. Sent it back.

Yup. I was reviewing the amaran and then I immediately stopped when I turned it on and heard the fan. It was definitely a deal breaker for me.

Are Aputure and Amaran the same brand?
