New Glenn: All about Blue Origin's next rocket
New Glenn: All about Blue Origin's next rocket
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 has been the leader of reusable spaceflight for almost a decade now, but soon, Blue Origin and their New Glenn rocket are bringing the competition. New Glenn is mere weeks away from its inaugural launch, so to celebrate that, I made this video where you will learn all you need to know about New Glenn and Blue Origin. We’ll have a look at New Glenn, New Shepard, the engines, Blue Origins Blue Moon lander and a potential reusable 2nd stage (Project Jarvis and Project Clipper), so yeah, let's dive right in!

It's kinda funny you have to bring an entire multistage launch vehicle to Eve
good job man on the video. Keep it up.
@@pitu72ger Thanks 😊
How is Blackrock’s Volumetric Clouds not on here? Costs a couple bucks but its the best visual overhaul for any game ive ever played. It works great along other visual mods too
@gamertardguardian1299 Because it's paid. Also I believe when I made this video they weren't out yet
@ oh wow my misunderstanding i gotcha
23:05 Reaction Engines, the company in charge of developing the SABRE, has recently gone bankrupt. Skylon will likely never fly.
Little comment for the algorithm. This needs way more views
@f1crashhour908 Thanks 🙏
I am going to try to save richata kerman from the surface of eve, shes been stuck there for 100 years,i have no dlc so this gonna be extra hard
@youhangaroundforaliving Good luck, as long as you can get the lander into eve orbit you should be fine, i didnt use any dlc for the lander
@zenothksp what are mastardob engines then
@youhangaroundforaliving The mastodons are on the LV, not the lander
@zenothksp oh ok
Dude, how are you doing those static flyby cinematic shots? PLEASE share the sauce with a new KSP youtuber, I want to make my first video but I cant figure out how y'all are making your shots so fancy haha.
@@BluejayGamingVR There's a mod called cameratools that i use in 99% of these shots
@zenothksp Thank you man. Incredible video, my jaw dropped when I saw the space station had an interior.
This is saturn V booster?
The FAA is requiring SpaceX to perform a mishap investigation into the loss of the Starship vehicle during launch operations on Jan. 16. There are no reports of public injury, and the FAA is working with SpaceX and appropriate authorities to confirm reports of public property damage on Turks and Caicos. During the event, the FAA activated a Debris Response Area and briefly slowed aircraft outside the area where space vehicle debris was falling or stopped aircraft at their departure location. Several aircraft requested to divert due to low fuel levels while holding outside impacted areas.
mars is so close guys I can feel it
Musk claims 4 years. Starting to doubt that
@zenothksp ha yeah no a person will not step on mars for decades. Living on mars is simply never going to happen. no one alive today will, at least.
Ah, so a rocket supposed to carry humans, that has no kind of LES and has had engine failures of some sort on 5/7 flights whilst fully relying on those exact engines to so much as stay in the air Exploded, making its debris drift of course, getting so close to a plane it was visible and flying over family homes. Yes, this is perfectly reasonable and safe. The funniest thing to me is how I elaborated that starship is unsafe for crew transport, Zenoths ne Noel disagreed with me telling me they need more time, then the upper stage that’s supposed to carry crew explodes. This is damn near poetic. I get it’s the first flight of block 2, but a failure this bad is unacceptable
Thats unfortunately how rapid iteration works. This failure is 100% unacceptable and plain dangerous but they will bounce back stronger
@ that’s what I hope, I like starship, but they have to admit its flaws and shouldn’t push it where it shouldn’t go
Hahahaha... there goes our environment.. what a piece of sh*t.
The streak of derbis looks fascinating, yet it gives me chills, as it teminds me of STS-107...
Glad that it isnt flying humans yet 😅
It exploded, because Musk is an idiot.
RIP Ship 33

This guy sounds more Dutch than a windmill over a field of tulips.
Dont forget the wheel of cheese leaning against a bike
@zenothksp *leaning against a grandma bike, no gears and back pedal brake 🤣
As an Australian with dutch heritage, this comment is pure comedy
faa is gonna have a field day
i'm afraid so. especially with debris hindering air traffic
New info: Starship FTS was safed so the vehicle exploded on its own. Debris inclination was changed by asymmetrical thrust and exceeded hazard zone, expect a lot of debris to wash up on Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic. Many flight routes have been disrupted by the debris field, this will require a large FAA investigation, could be months till the next flight.
Whoa. Thanks for update. Sounds like a hairy mess to untangle , essentially with FAA involvement.
Lol why would many flight routes be disrupted? You know about gravity?
@zak4tt4ck Thousanda of pieces of debris are falling down around Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. While small, there is a chance they could hit an airplane
@@merky6004 Yep. Expecting a launch no earlier than march
@@zak4tt4ckbro failed kindergarten 💀
when is the next flight
Hard to say, this will need an FAA investigation of many months so probably not before March
@zenothksp I'd say MUCH later FAA ain't gonna be happy. And airlines will file class actions
Autumn…This is a disaster. The new ship was a serious downgrade. Time for NASA and the Apollo missions to get some respect. This pile of rubbish is decades away from matching the achievements of the Saturn V and the Apollo missions.
Do we already know why the rocket exploded?
My guess is a propellant leak in the new prop feed lines. caused internal and external fires, and likely caused the engines to go boom.
FTS when telemetry indicated anomalies , I would imagine
@@swapshots4427 FTS was safed at the time of RUD so the vehicle exploded on its own
I wonder about the safety of launching from Boca Chica. Back some 6 or 7 years ago, I wondered if it was safe, then sort of figured the experts knew better. Now, I’m thinking they need to do these experimental flights from KSC/Canaveral. But all their manufacturing is in Texas.
@@Andrew-13579 Doing these flights from KSC would have even bigger consequences, were they to go wrong
Ship 33 exploding looked hauntingly beautiful
stoke is not aiming for rapid reuse tf??
@@kohanrains776 Its the entire point of stoke
@zenothksp full reuse is... not rapid, rapid is restocking within hours to launch again... they have a reentry capsule design that makes it next to impossible to get rapid reuse, and they've made 0 attempt at any infrastructure for it to date... they claim "Rapid reuse" but that's according to their definition which could be a week between launches which is high pace but far from rapid reuse... it won't need to be refurbished sure but that's not all rapid reuse is so no it's literally not "the entire point" whether they claim that or not... we can see thats not the case
Make a Spaceship 2 or Aurora Mk3 3D print, I love me some beautiful spaceplanes, amazing video as always, keep it up bro ❤️
@Blacksun-xu9hz Thats a good idea, when Im done with my next project (which ill announce soon), ill do a spaceplane!
@ yay :D avenge for the spaceplanes!
Cool video
You imply you didn't do this with the editing here, so forgive me if you were already doing it this way: Test fit all parts before gluing. The last thing you want to do is accidentally break something on an already glued part and have to reprint multiple parts instead of just one.
I did that for every part, I even reprinted the main body to account for tolerances
I would love to See the New glenn on the desk. And maybe you could try to build some rockets like in amateur rocketry. Its very cool to See the Different pieces and how they work together. Or you could Do a longer Video on how you do the Rocket printing but i dont think you face revealed yourself yet.
