Worst Items in Sekiro NOT Worth Getting
Here are 5 Quick Items Not Worth Getting in Sekiro
5.Five Color Rice
This item in no way helps you with combat, or with any quests, but instead it's used as a marker on the area you explore in.
This seems like it can be helpful if you get lost easily, but any areas you mark reset if you forget about and leave the area you're in or you fast travel
to a different location. This item is more likely a joke on the player since you find this item after you meet an NPC who is asking that you feed them Rice.
Making the player think that this is the rice they need to get, but after spending 1600 Sen on it you soon find this was not the rice you needed
and are left with a pretty useless item, and are 1600 Sen more broke
4.Bite Down/Hidden Tooth
Dying is nothing new to a Sekiro Player, but an item that kills you instantly after using it isn't something anyone is celebrating about.
While Bite Down does have a use, to help the player die without having their ressurective powers restricted, it isn't practical. The timing alone
to use this item as intended isn't easy. You would need to be aware of your health and the damage you take and use it before you take a final blow.
At that point it would be more beneficial to learn the parry system with your weapon and not this item.
Although its nice to not give the enemy the satisfaction of killing you one more time if you do it yourself. (Tapping head meme)
3.Fistful of Ash
While this item seems promising at first look you soon find that it isn't as reliable. In Sekiro there are few instances where you are on a 1 on 1
fight as thats when this works great, but this is a slower, weaker, and shorter range Fireworks equivalent. Using the Ash when surrounded by multiple enemies makes this useless,
and even in some cases it just doesn't hit at all
Instead its better to have a different item hold your quickslot than Ash.
Just stick with your Fireworks they're more reliable and help you out in more situations
2.Ceramic Shard
Everyones favorite reward after barley making it through a swarm of enemies to get to the shiny thing they saw at the end of the road. These are all over the place, and its
disappointing to find when you were hoping for something better. To make this item even worse there's barely any use for it, and the intended use for the Ceramic Shard which is to lure enemies away
doesn't even work at all.
I've tested out different ways to make this item useful, but a ceramic shard is just that a ceramic shard. I thought very hard about making this one the number 1 worst item, but
since this could still work in very rare cases it's only number 2.
1.Nightjar Monocular
The Worst Item in Sekiro No real use for this item other than to be up in peoples faces or see the details of the game.Even when you use it for its intended use it makes things harder to see instead of clearer since it blurs out
when you zoom in.
Most of the time you won't even remember you have the Monocular
in your inventory. Which is why this is the worst item in Sekiro

Hey! Take back what u say about fist ful ash. You can cheese monk boss with that.
headless has been real quiet since this dropped 2:44
simple and clear, nice one bro
Always sell this items and after see the video I know I am right 😂
If you want the ceramic shard to work, you need to lock your target and have no obstacles in the way. that's a bit annoying since that means you need to get in plan sight unless you'rein bushes, but most of the enemies don't have very good vision. Especially if you invested in stealth skills. It can be quite useful sometimes, but no need to buy them, you'll find more than you need. I even sometimes sell one or two when I'm lacking just 5 or 10 gold.
I used fistful of ash on true corrupted monk. It was mad useful to get a few hits in
Never let bro cook again he burnt down the kitchen
Hidden tooth is a game changer if u know how to use it
u can use the fistful of ash in a group by throwing it at your feet and then ducking so everyone loses agro
I disagree with the fistful of ash as one of the worthless items in game, I effectively managed to kill true monk only by using this item rather than using fireworks that uses spirit emblems
Cap for fistful
Bro u kidding ash is one of the most useful item
BRO I THOUHT THIS FIVE COLOR RICE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE GIVEN TO THE OLD LADY SO I BOUGHT IT :/
The usefulness of the items really depends on your playstyle. If you like to play stealth a lot like me then these 2 from the list are actually good bois: 1. Nightjar monocular: you can confirm enemies' existence from afar and their facing direction to help plan your stealth. 2. Ceramic shard: use this to attract one enemy from a group or from their chatting partner and assassinate them. Also to take them out of their usual patrol route. Can be used when peeking while hugging the wall, just lock on the enemy and throw it, wait until they come and assassinate.
Ash is incredibly useful considering the cost.
The monocular is far from the most useless item in Sekiro. While it has very limited usage, it does serve a purpose. Like all other FS games, the enemies have a way of blending into the color scheme of the locations. Before rushing in, survey a new area with the monocular. The enemies will stand out more, especially when they’re patrolling. This type of item might not be as useful in a traditional game map, but it comes in handy in Sekiro’s vertical traveling system.
So your gripe with the bite down item is basically "you have to pay lots of attention". Imo it's very underrated. On one hand you can let the enemy kill you and use a revive while they're still near you. This will also cause your other revives to be unusable. On the other hand you can use the tooth before being killed. With the tooth you still have access to your other revives after getting up and you can create space before using it to give yourself time to heal after reviving. It definitely doesn't deserve to be on this list
I would have never bear corrupted monk without ash and fire crackers together
Fistful of ash can be used to stun lock certain bosses, very useful in 1 or 2 fights
☺️
Hidden tooth 🦷 in Boss fight can be useful especially if u run out of healing….LOGIC
i totally disagree with Fistful of Ash....yes, fireworks works better but hell, it gets consumed as well...having ash will save your ass on bosses... I don't say you should buy plenty, but having them is a huge bonus.
I agree with the list apart from the fistful of ash. That item can be useful if you want to not waste spirit emblems on firecrackers or if you ran out of spirit emblems and you can't afford to use the tanto. It allows you to get a quick attack or two in the enemy for no spirit emblems. Bite down and hidden tooth can have their uses, but, as you said, it's difficult to use. But if you're low HP and you know you'll die, it's sometimes better to accept death and resurrect without the penalty. Regarding that rice in the beginning of the video, i honestly forgot it existed.
I do kinda feel bad for this guy. Got so much hate he hasn't uploaded for a year
I use the ash against bosses and the ceramic shards the correct way. You just don't know how to use them or when.
ceramic shards are a good tool to sell to merchants
Me: “Fist full of ash?????” Soulja boy: “DRAAAAAAKE”
Hidden tooth.....literally the most useful item.
This guy joking on us about nightjar, nightjar just more like binocular in dark souls, it's useless in fighting but useful in another way
Ash is just for easy money
Corrupted Monk and other bosses are stun locked by fistful of ash. Throw an ash, hit three times, throw ash, hit three times, rinse, repeat. Then once you run out you can stun lock the boss again with firecrackers.
I rarely have had to use dragons droplets. All you have to do is take a break if you die and farm a few minutes and your good to go. The purple gourd isn't nearly as effective as as pacifying agent. Devine confetti is basically easy mode for people who lack the skills to get gud.....oh and for the weak headless rewards. The best item is the ceremonial tanto imo.
Git gud scrub
@@NeverQuit87 you ready for Elden Ring scrub? To be honest I'm waiting for Sekiro 2. There has to be a lot more to the story and it's guaranteed to be a hit. With Elden Ring it seems like a Souls game for noobs like yourself. It could flop or be a hit.
@@NeverQuit87 WOW Bloodborne!?!? I thought I enjoyed older games but that's actually a game from my time. PvP must be fun.
your audio is horrible
stuff literally gives you 2 ressurection in bossfights, seems pretty useless right
fist full of ash = easy corrupted monk ceramic shard can knock airborne enemies out of the air they are very underrated items. yes, fire cracker and shuriken will do the same thing, but they cost spirit to use and these are everywhere for free
Actual worst items. 1. Contact Medicine. Poison status is really weak in this game with slow build up, (not counting the big hats). It's better to just use antidote powder. 2. Mibu Balloon of spirits Have anyone EVER had to go spirit emblem farming? Not counting people that use cool tools against trash mobs? Not to mention they are super cheap to straight up buy? 3. Five rice Yeah that shit is bad and most likely a gag item.
Contact Medicine isn’t useless. It damages you slightly so that you can use the mist raven feather whenever without have to actually get hit by an enemy.
Again something that is good. Ceramic shards i have used countless times to get the attention of enemies without alerting the other around them. Target and hit them with these and they will out if their usual route and you can sneak attack them while hugging walls
Dude you just suck understanding the purpose of the hidden tooth. It’s not meant to be used for anything like that especially not a heat of the moment quick item. Incase you forgot sekiro has a pause button. That means you can see in attack like lets say genichiro’s lightning see it hit pause look at your health you low? Go to inventory find it use it die resurrect have a full resurrection node for your next time you go in have at least half health (regen back to full with a single use of gourd rather then 2) and now you are in a much better spot to keep going in the fight with a resurrection node ready to go and full health. This also especially useful when you are exploring and fought groups of enemies and you still have a bit to go before the next idol and don’t wanna use more gourds then you have to because they are very limited at that moment. Bite downs and especially not hidden tooth are useless you just suck with and don’t use em properly
Good work! But let’s give an honorable mention to spiritfalls and the tally board. Super duper useful when you are on NG+ runs Edit: back when I was on NG+4 or +5, I can already buy infinitive confetti and use yashariku however I want
My guy doesn't understand lock on mechanics as far as I can tell
I don't understand the dislikes, very well done and helpful video before going to NG+
Look at the 5 most useless items first and you’ll see why, he’s inexperienced and sends players off with his naive opinion
Noob
Title: "worst items in Sekiro NOT worth getting" Realizing that you start off with the nightjar monocular and didn't have no trouble "getting" it
The fan shinobi tool
there is also some gras item which according to the description heals you fully when used
divine grass
Item 2 and 3 are really powerful
Bite down is a godsend in boss fights. Bullshit death? Well when you're about to die for good pop this bad boy and resurrect a quick second, third or even fourth if you can die that many times. No need for a deathblow or 5 minuet wait.
True
Agreed . People just dont know how to abuse it
Ceramic shard is good for people that jump a lot since it knocks them and saves spirit emblems
Use the fistful of ash against corrupted monk, and that monocular use it to find those filthy monkeys. U just dont know when to use the items well. Hahahaha. Noob alert!!!!
i dissagree with the ceramic shard, i did a sekiro no death run and that item helped so much until i get the finger whristle, 3:19 in that same place there are 3 monks all you need i to hug a wall and throw the ceramic at one of them and all of them can be killed without being spotted
