Cheers buddy 🙂 most shots of the Deer you see we were about 40-60ft away from them, so we got pretty close!!! Moderators reduce your noise profile when stalking on someone else's land, and they don't disturb the wildlife as much, so if you're hoping to get more than one Deer without scaring them all off, a moderator is the way to go 👌🏻

@@RussDixonDOP got it! Thanks for a detailed explanation. The only way for us to be quiet here in Canada is to use bow and arrow, LOL, which I practice a lot. Much longer season as well.

@@sasqwatch35mm I should've said it also helps when firing .243 as you don't really need to wear ear pro and can keep your auditory awareness at the same time. Bow hunting is illegal here in the UK, my guide loves using a bow but has to do trips to places like Bulgaria in order to get that experience.

Well...technically you did pay to see grappling, the sport is called Mixed Martial Arts, not boxing...if you're being beat in grappling why should the ref stand it up giving the fighter in a disadvantageous position an equal footing?...if you can't prevent the takedown, submission or get back to your feet, that's your fault, not the referees.

Dixon was staying busy the entire time she had her opponent on her back. Throwing elbows, punches and looking to advance her position. No reason to stand them up

Have you watched his fight against Dillon Manning yet? If you're into the calf kicks that fight will get you buzzed!

Thank you for the lovely words :) It's a topic I am very interested in outside of filmmaking, and I wanted to use the opportunity on my first ever stalk to make a film which not only reflects the process involved in Deer Management, but also the hunters perspective and life story into such a field of expertise. I wanted to give an honest account in this film about what I had witnessed throughout the morning, and I think Mark did a wonderful job in putting words to vision, in what was his first ever appearance in front of a camera...I feel very fortunate to have had such a professional and kind person to build this film around. Definitely plenty of lessons learnt on my part too, the next instalment for me covering this topic will be much more refined in both production and post-production....very excited!...weather permitting of course, it is the UK after all haha!

Haha cheers guys! Nothing too fancy I must say, any alterations has literally just been pushing the levels up a few dB ... it's either the BMPCC4k internal microphones or my NTG4+, so all captured on board. The fights were all NTG4+, and the bulk of the in camp footage was internal mics if memory serves me right...but I may have rocked the NTG4+ for one of the two Carter Boxing bits. I must add that it helps hugely that James hits like a freight train, so it's not too hard to make it sound great while shooting!
