I like the POV from the trailer. Nice touring group you’ve got going there Larry. Awesome scenery. Safe travels ✌️
Installed heli bars and the Utopia backrest on our 24 Wing. I can now ride for hours with out shoulder and back pain. Wondering if Hwy pegs would be worth it (Goldstrike)
Hey, thanks for checking in and joining in the comments. When I purchased my Goldwing in 2021, I added the Rivco Hwy pegs and they have worked well. Being able to stretch out your legs and change positions lets you ride for much longer and be more relaxed. The only issue I have is the pegs are small and not much room to move your foot around. Before you purchase anything try to figure out how you would like your foot to rest on the peg. example.. on your heel at the top of the peg or the center of your foot pressing on the peg. Some peg may fold if you lay your foot on the top. Hope this is a help. Enjoy the week ahead.
Thanks for sharing the beauty with us, great part of our country and great people, so clear video its like we are there with you
Thank you my friend. I appreciate your kind words and support. More to come.
Hi Larry, a very scenic ride. I loved the area with the trees, and mountains and the water. Amazing geological formation with the earth's crust being pushed up like that. Ride safely!
Thanks Tom, not sure why my video quality was so poor but I am trying to fix that for the next video. That place was amazing and I enjoyed riding and spending time there. More to come soon. Enjoy your week.
Always loved driving through Grose Morne park and area , that Tablelands is remarkable Thanks for taking us along tonight
Thanks Garry, this was my first time ever going there and loved it. I hope to make another trip some day. Enjoy your week and thanks for watching.
Thanks Larry. I completed my own install today with your influence and Chris Dickman's and Robert White's. shadowfax-st.blogspot.com/2024/09/vantrue-f1-dashcam-install-goldwing-2023.html
Thanks once again for sharing your journey!! I never knew about the Tablelands - seems like an interesting place to read about later on!!
Hey there my friend, I never heard about the Tablelands either until my Brothers told me where they were taking me. Not sure what was going on with my video quality but I hope to have things better for the next video. There will me much more about the Tablelands soon. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the week ahead.
The best part is when you hit the rain. Tried to gamble on it just being a sprinkle and lost. Been there a few times, all good as long as it is warm. Did you get the nav sorted out? Probably reinstall the update?
Hey there, thanks for watching and joining in the comments. Yes, i sure did gamble and lost bad. The rain came more from the side and i am still trying to dry out. Lol. One of my followers gave me instructions to quickly fix the navigation. Located in the audio settings, there is a system reset option. The fix took about one minute. After that i had to pair my headset and phone. All good now.
Great video and interesting geology. That trailer cam view was excellent. Definitely tables but I don't want to see the card players! You have a great corny sense of humor too. Keep on living the good life.
Thank you my friend. I appreciate you taking the time to follow along and join in the comments. It's always fun to test out different camera angles but I am still having trouble trying to get my 4K video quality. Some how I am loosing it during editing and it drops to 1080P. Eventually I will get everything worked out. Enjoy your weekend.
You guys are a pro out there! Loved the views, the camaraderie, the brotherhood. Thank you sir Larry. Your camera work gets better and better as you discover what works. Safe travels and many miles of safe smiles. More in 24!
Thanks RG. It's been so much fun out there with family sharing this amazing trip. Video can never capture what you actually see as you look into those amazing hills and valleys. The camera setup is working well now but I need to work on my 4k quality. When I blend the videos I am loosing the 4k and haven't figures out why. I'm sure it's something that I am doing in editing and it will get fixed. Hang in there, lots more to come. Ride Safe.
Beautiful part of Canada. Another destination to add to bucket list. Thank you for sharing.
Good day my friend and thanks for checking out the video and joining in the comments. Newfoundland is a beautiful province and has so many places to explore. This was my second year touring around the island and I had the time of my life. It was truly amazing. Ride Safe out there.
@@goldwingmoments I am from Alberta and this is my first "real" season of riding. Only been riding around the province and getting used to a new to me 2018 Honda Goldwing Trike. Next season I am hoping to adventure out more. I would like to do across Canada trip some time. My bucket list keep getting longer and longer. LOL. Ride safe too my friend.
@@PaulsRides , the 2018 Goldwing Trike is a fantastic machine and you could easily tour across Canada on it. You also have lots of space to carry extra items you may need on your travels. Great choice. The best thing to do is take a look at a map, put a circle around the place you want to go and begin your planning. Start off with a location that you can visit on a long weekend. That will help you figure out what you actually need to carry and how far you want to ride in a single day. Remember that long days looking at the highway lines passing by is no fun. Plan shorter days with exciting places to visit. At least that works well for me. Feel free to comment and share your thoughts or questions. Enjoy your Sunday.
Good morning Larry. It looks like you all are off to a great start of your NL Moto Tour 2024. Was the ferry fee higher because you had a trailer in-tow? Enjoy the journey - cheers
Hi Bob, hope you are doing well. The trip was out of this world but the ferry fee brought me back to earth. Yes Sir, there is an extra fee for the motorcycle trailer. Guess nothing's free these days!. The total ferry cost of traveling both ways with a cabin was $767.84 CA. Thanks for following along and joining in the comments. Enjoy your weekend.
Some nice Larry. You would have to drive through more than once to take it all in. Beautiful
Thanks Kenny, I was blown away with the beauty and the feeling that goes along with a trip through that area. It's my hope to someday return for another look. Enjoy your weekend my friend.
@@goldwingmoments you too buddy
I can only wish I was there ...beautiful
Thank you for your kind words and for following along. The trip was amazing and the scenery fantastic. Enjoy your weekend.
Too many cameras? Something never spoken by a motovloger, Larry. Nice ride, my friend.
Hey there Mac, hope you are doing well. I see you are pumping out some fantastic videos yourself. I was trying my best to capture as much as possible so I had 4 or 5 cams going most of the time. It got confusing at times, remembering which units I had running for the area I was trying to film. It all worked out in the end and I got lots of film to edit........I think!! lol. Thanks for following along. Ride safe and have fun out there.
@goldwingmoments maybe too many cameras could be an issue..lol. Yes, I have been dropping videos left and right lately. I will be slowing down a little as I continue with home projects. Eventually, I will likely produce once a week or once every two weeks. Viewership is increasing, and content is required, as you know. I am having a lot of fun while I still can. Thanks for your support, Larry.
Thanks buddy great ride we did the Trout River trip one day when we was renting cabins in Rocky Harbour it was awesome and you guys did the right thing to go passed the road and come back to take the road because that's a hard turn to make especially when riding double . we had lunch in Trout River and walked on the board walk and talked to some locals it was great that was in 2010 we had the shadow wish I had of had the gold wing then maybe before I get to old we can make a trip . you take care and have a great weekend I enjoy the videos thanks
Hello again my friend. I follow "Old Guy On A Bike". In his videos he talks about that left uphill turn, and it can be an issue for sure. Trout River is a beautiful place and well worth the visit. While in the area we spent two nights in Rocky Harbour, at The Fisherman's Landing Inn. The staff there are amazing and did everything to make out visit a great experience. Not sure if I will ever get back to that area again but would love to at some point. Thanks again and enjoy your weekend.
Some stunning views. Enjoyed the Elevate Larry view ;-) Curious about those camera arms you are using off your Ram ball handlebar mounts. Send me a link if you can. Thank you for taking us along on this amazing leg of your journey. Memories. Ride Safe.
Thanks Robert. I will get you the information asap. The arms work great and are so easy to adjust. I really like them. Enjoy your weekend my friend.
What were the symptoms? Maybe a link to the original video plz
Hello my friend and thanks for checking out the video. While riding my bike everything seemed normal with "no" shakes, vibrations or shimmy. While I was at a stop and getting ready to back into a parking position I could feel the handlebars move up and down. At first I thought the front wheel was sitting in a pothole and I never thought much about it. Later I felt the movement again while stopped and decided to check it out. At that point I could see the loose stem nut. I will add the link to the first video here. th-cam.com/video/kvha3CiVCLE/w-d-xo.html The handlebars are tight ever since I torqued the nut to spec. Hope this helps. Enjoy your weekend and Ride Safe.
Nice cabin! Looking forward to your full video!
Thanks Tom. I have been lazy getting my videos edited. Lots to be posted soon my friend. Thanks for watching.
Good job bud glad you got the problem fixed that's great take care hope your having a great weekend
Thank you. Enjoy your Sunday.
Nice spare parts of your motorcycle 🏍
Thank you. Hope you enjoy your weekend.
@@goldwingmoments welcome
Hi Larry, I am glas that you were able to fix this problem! Thank you for sharing this useful information! Ride safely!
Good evening Tom and thanks for checking out the video. Yes Sir, the repair is complete and everything feels good again. I was a little worried but everything turned out ok.
Thank you Larry. I knew if anyone could get to the bottom of it, it would be you. You are a diagnostics professional. It’s what you do and do very well.
Thank you RG. Once I was able to bring the bike to my work where I had all the tools, it was mush easier. Correct tools and service information is a "must" for this sort of repair. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
May I ask you did you have any strange wobble play? At 40mph and above?
Good evening and thanks for checking out the video. No vibration, No wobble, No strange noises. The bike handled awesome but I did have handlebar movement. Hope that helps. Enjoy the rest of your day.
@@goldwingmoments ty so much for replying I was only asking because I just dropped off my bike this morning to the dealer besides the recall for fuel pump . I just have a small wobble in my front end that's why I was asking and I wasn't sure if you had this problem.
@@phillipvazquez284 , all good my friend. I am happy to share any information that I have. Let us know if your wobble gets fixed.
Larry, so glad you got this handled. A little concerning that it ever came to this, but thank goodness you made us aware and now we watch for this. Ride Safe my friend !!
Thank you Robert. I never expected this to happen but with the thousands of bikes sold, things will go wrong. Guess I was lucky that it was only the top stem nut that came loose. If the bottom lock nut had failed I would have lost steering. Ride safe my friend and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Nice job Larry.
Thank you Kenny. It was upsetting to have this sort of failure on a motorcycle but at least it is fixed now. Hope all is going well for you guys.
@@goldwingmoments all good bud, have a great evening.
Nice repair. Looks like you had to remove a lot of the bike to get at it. Always the case. Take care.
Hey there Darrell. This is the time of plastic panels and push lock clips. It seems like everything has to be removed to access the simplest parts. At least the repair was good and I am back on two wheels. Thanks for watching.
Great job and update on what that was all about Larry!
Thanks Bryan, it sucks the handlebars came loose at all, but at least everything is fixed now. This video might be of help to someone else with the same issue. It's good to share everything we can to help others. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Great repair job my friend definitely something you want done properly and who better than yourself. Hope you have an awesome weekend my friend
Thanks Garry. Being a mechanic with all necessary tools and service manual, sure did help. I feel better being able to diagnose and fix it myself. Not sure why the nut came loose but now I will be keeping an eye on it. As always, I appreciate you watching and joining in the comments. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Great news. Very dangerous should the nut fall off. Stay safe, my friend.
Hey there my friend, hope all is going well. This loose stem nut was a dangerous situation and could cause things to turn bad quickly. I did take measures on the road to stop that from happening. During the repair I inspected all other steering components and everything was good. That said, I will be keeping an eye on things. Thanks for checking out the video and joining in the comments. Enjoy your Sunday.
So hard to convey the terrain on these action cameras. Been digging out from under the last trip... This was a beautiful ride Larry !! Very cool views with the 360 ! Thank you for the mention. God Bless !!
Thanks Robert. I am still behind after my 18 days on the road so I know exactly how you feel. As always, I appreciate your support and comments. Ride Safe my friend.
Your channel is blowing up buddy......awesome!
Thanks Bryan and Holly. I was exhausted after the 18 day road trip and haven't put much effort into posting videos since my return. Guess it's time to get moving and get some editing done. I really appreciate all your support since the very beginning. You guys have always been there to push me along. Thanks for the kind comments my friends. Enjoy your week.
Smooth pavement and beautiful scenery!!! Thanks for sharing!
Hey my friend. The scenery was awesome but the potholes quickly became an issue. lol. Thanks for watching.
Really Looks Nice up there👀,Thank You for The Ride Along..👍🙏
Hey my friend, thanks for following along. Newfoundland is a beautiful place but the weather can change quickly. I had an awesome trip. Ride Safe.
Nice Larry, would those be the Cape Ray Mountains? where the weather can change at any moment, when I went through with family it was a foggy day so not as stunning as this trip, thanks for sharing, been awhile since been through Cornerbrook, be nice to see area again.
Hello again my friend. The best I could tell, this is all part of the Long Range Mountains. Not sure if there are other names for some sections but there could be. The weather on the other hand can change quickly from beautiful to rain or fog. I captured that on video and will be posting as I go along. The view heading down into Cornerbrook is fantastic and I always look forward to seeing it. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy your weekend.
Sure looks like a ride is even made better when shared with some others! Always looks like a great time!
Hey there, hope your weekend is off to a good start. I have to agree with you about riding with others. I was lucky to ride with my two Brothers and Nephew. We had a great time and visited so many cool places. Much more to come. Thanks for checking in.
That was a great teaser for what's to come buddy........The camera doesn't do it justice of the scenery for sure........and the clouds puts a damper on things also I suppose...........can't wait to see the footage you have and looking forward to the excitement Larry........keep it coming buddy.
Thanks Bryan and Holly. If only, the camera could pick up the actual scenery as seen by our eyes. It was truly amazing and every minute of the ride was filled with amazing places to see and video. Now I am at the point where things get exciting and I am excited to share the footage. Should be fun for sure. Hang in there my friends and we will catch you on the next one. Enjoy your weekend.
Good video buddy thanks for sharing the ride take care
Thanks Tom, I appreciate you following along and joining in the comments. Hope you have a fantastic weekend.
Hey Larry. Smooth sailing so far. Except for that pothole😅
Hey my friend, what's a ride without hitting some good pavement between potholes. lol. I think your trail ride on ATV was smoother! The trip was great and my next video will be getting into some awesome footage. I had better get cracking and get my editing done. Thanks for checking in. Cheers!
Hey brother , love to be back at it again. So many places we bypassed. You could do many more videos in places we skipped by because of the rain. Peter the old brother.
Hey there Brother Peter, as each trip ends, there are always places that we wish we had time to visit. Time, rain and fog sometimes forces us to change plans as we go. After 18 days on the road I can say, I had a fantastic time and was more than happy with the places we had time to visit. What began as a trip to create videos, quickly turned into awesome time spent with yourself, Mark and Cooper. All the videos in the world can't capture the fun times we had. It was a blast for sure. Talk soon.
Indeed! Let’s ride! Well done mates! It takes a team of pro’s. Ya’ll are crushing it out there nice ride. What a beauty! Loved it!
Hey there RG, thanks for checking in and supporting the cause. Friends, family, bikes and Lets Ride! That's what it's all about. Lets get out there, have fun and share something positive with our fellow men. I read your words just about every day. "Here's to many miles of smiles". You see RG, your words travel and are noted! Have a great weekend my friend.
Howdy Larry, Does your Honda Goldwing have the quick start feature when you come to a stop? If it does do you like it? I enjoy watching your Newfoundland Adventure series and looking forward to the next one.
Hey my friend, hope you are doing well and I thank you for following along. Things will get a little more exciting in the next video as I head into Gros Morne National Park. We had a lot of fun there. The DCT model Goldwing comes with the Idle Stop feature which you can turn ON or OFF. My bike is the six speed manual model and it doesn't have the Idle Stop feature. Hope that helps. Have a fun weekend.
@@goldwingmoments Thank you! 😎
The Boys of the Rock
Yes Sir, The Boys of the Rock and at it again! Out there having a good time, enjoying the scenery and great Newfoundland food. Have to love it! Thanks for watching and I hope you have a fantastic weekend.
Hi Larry, more epic scenery from New Foundland! Thanks for sharing. Ride safely!
Happy Saturday Tom. Newfoundland is a hidden treasure and the best scenery is yet to come. Be sure to tune into the next video. It will be worth it! Take care my friend. Ride Safe and Enjoy.
Very nice, Larry. Beautiful ride!
Thanks Mac, this was a fantastic ride and the time spent with my Brothers and Nephew was so much fun. Like any trip, it had to end too quickly. Enjoy your weekend.
I'm trying to shorten mu video these days as well ,love the intro. The Corner Brook area is really scenic , cameras never do justice to elevation and wind on the water. Always love driving in that area , I was thinking that wasn't a good spot to stop and you put it on the video LOL. I couldn't really tell from the video as I only had your POV but you confirmed LOL. Looking forward to the sext video
Happy Saturday Garry, thanks for checking in for another video. Thanks for your kind words and I am always trying ways to improve my videos. In this video, we came to a stop closer to the TCH, than I would have liked. I didn't like the situation so decided to correct things and pull up to the pumps. Seeing this was not a safe position to put myself in, I decided to add it into the video to make others aware. We all make mistakes but it's up to us to correct things asap. The Cornerbrook location was scenic and I cold have spent more time there just looking around. Wish we had the time. Have a fantastic weekend.
@@goldwingmoments yeah I feel it was good on you to keep it in the video , like you say we all make mistakes, we are human lol.
Good afternoon Larry. I always enjoy your Goldwing Moments Touring videos. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Hey there Bob, hope you are doing well. Thanks for following along and joining in the comments. The next video will be a lot more exciting with lots to see for sure. Take care and enjoy your weekend.
Interesting , if Google says it it has to be
Hey Garry, it has to be the truth. Google wouldn't lie! lol
Never leave home without a rain suit.
Hey there, you are right about the rain suit. The sad part is, I had two good sets and didn't put either one on. We were hitting small showers all day long and figured this one would be the same. oops!, was I wrong! We did dry out and had a fantastic day of riding. Thanks for checking out the video and adding to the comments. Ride Safe my friend.
@@goldwingmoments Been there, done that more times than I care to admit.
Lard thunderin' time for ride finished off with a good old downtime scuff . Great start Bro ' , does me old heart good. Peter
Thanks Pete, it sure was an awesome ride and I enjoyed making this short video. The first long video is half done and will be posted soon. Great to live it all over again.
