    Of course, in the UK, a Denix Lee Enfield is classed as a 'realistic imitation firearm' under the Violent Crime Reduction Act, 2006, and is illegal to own unless you fulfill certain criteria, i.e. 1. a museum or gallery; 2. theatrical performances and rehearsals of such performances; 3. the production of films and television programmes; 4. the organisation and holding of historical re-enactments; or 5. Crown servants. Who would have thought it would be illegal to own a toy gun. You can, actually, own certain 'realistic imitation firearms' provided they are made of a material in a bright colour. the colours are: (a)bright red; (b)bright orange; (c)bright yellow; (d)bright green; (e)bright pink; (f)bright purple; and (g)bright blue. IL am sure these laws made perfect sense to whoever drafted them, and to Parliament for passing ;the laws, but it makes me doubt that there are many rational individuals there.

      Here in Western Australia we can even purchase realistic looking and functioning blank firing guns that eject the shells after firing. @@vanceyboy1959 We turned back the 1 thread depth, rechambered and cut the bolt face appropriately. This gave them a good tight chamber. Originally they were chambered loose for combat reliability, but this resulted in excess rates of case head separation. Then a little hand lapping of the bore, accurate recrowning and they are usually capable of 2 MOA accuracy. More accurate than nearly all shooters.

    • @vanceyboy1959
      @vanceyboy1959 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree with your comments that Australia and Canada are the testing grounds. Unfortunately unlike the USA Australia does not have an Amendment written into it's constitution to protect the people owning firearms. After world war 2 the Australian government were more than happy to let returning soldiers keep their 303 rifle as Japan had almost taken Australia. Oh how quickly we forget. With a population of just 30 million people we have 3 million registered guns. I would say around 3% of the population own guns as each gun owner would own multiple firearms.Indonesia's population next to us has over 300 million people. We wouldn't stand a chance if we were invaded. Semi auto guns are banned so it would be like fighting a war with muskets. Hey thanks Wisenber for your comments. Have a great day my friend. 😊👍

      @@vanceyboy1959 In all fairness, the US has an Amendment in front of that one protecting free speech, religion and assembly. As you've no doubt noticed from the various platforms, those freedoms are being eroded as well with those erosions being selectively applied. Take away the ability to talk and gather, and no one hears about the rest. The freedoms we believe we have may prove to be no more than props like your 303.

    great collection and cool video. I never knew that you could only own 5 rifles in Austrialia and in England if you are caught with a 22 rifle it's 5 years in prison. Talk about taking away citizen's rights away and that really sucks. Here in the USA you can buy anything you want and invest your money into all different kinds of guns from $300 to $5000+.

    • @vanceyboy1959
      @vanceyboy1959 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Hunter. Thanks for your comments. I have just recently received another text from police informing me that the new gun proposals are now law. The Western Australian Government have made it clear that they hate guns and gun owners. Now that this has happened here in Western Australia the rest of the Australian states will soon follow suit. It's a sad day for gun owners and the rights of the people. Once upon a time Australia was like the USA and we could own any type of gun we wanted. Then back in the 1980's one mentally ill idiot got hold of an AR 15 rifle and killed over 30 innocent people. That was enough to target gun owners and change Australia's gun laws. You are very lucky living in the USA and having the 2nd amendment to protect your gun rights. Take care my friend 👍 🙂

I have some arthritis in my hands so I need a position where there is not much weight on them. I also need a comfortable seat - is this where the 1400 falls down? Otherwise it looks to be smooth and torquey. Any info would be appreciated. Cheers

      Thanks for your comments Andy. I have put a pull back riser on my handle bars to help me sit up straighter on the bike. That did help but its still not enough to get me sitting up straight. I had the seat re padded but it still didn't lower my seating position. My next option is to buy a $1,000.00 seat specially designed to lower your center of gravity. The Kawasaki GTR is a sports tour and designed to give you the race bike feel with the power included plus some comfort that a touring bike offers. Honestly if I was buying a bike for comfort I would purchase a touring bike like the Honda Valkyrie that I had in my garage or a similar shaped bike. You want to get it right first time if you are purchasing a bike so go to a motorbike shop and sit on the different range of bikes they have to offer until you find the most comfortable one to suit your needs. Good luck and take care my friend.

    I bought a ‘14 with ~9000 miles on it, a few years ago, now over 20,000 miles. Several out of state (USA) road trips. Big comfy bike. Only mods were ; I had the ECU Ivanized and a different windscreen, touch warm in Arizona. She’s a keeper.

      100% on the Ivan flash. 13" Clearview windshield, driver's backrest, and longhorn foot pegs. Bought my '17 in 2020 with 3200 miles - 39000 now. Stock suspension is top notch too. Let the good times roll.

    Initials or names engraved into a gun makes it nearly valueless once its back on the market, ive passed one up at my local shop that without the engraved name is over $2000 worth of a rifle, its marked at $499 and been there well over 2 years. Dont get me wrong, the inlay is an amazing idea, but one way or another the one with their initials carved into it wont own it forever!

      Hi Andrew I agree with you 100% Fortunately The shotgun was only $700 so even if it was sold untouched there would be little money to lose on it. If one owned an expensive rifle and intended to sell it later then like you said it would not be wise unless the butt or forstock could cheaply be replaced. In both myself and my friend Dave's case we have no intention selling them and will hand them on to our children as an heirloom. I appreciate your comment.🙂

      Hi Peter. The pool is 4x5 meters and the cost is difficult to calculate as my nephew is a pool builder and built our pool on the cheap. the liquid limestone was at cost and the labor to pour was free as they were friends of my nephew and wouldn't take any money. the materials for the pool was a little expensive at the time due to the pandemic shortages. Because my nephew had contacts as a pool builder we had a short wait compared to many others building pools at the time. we were very fortunate. We would have paid somewhere around 1/2 to 2/3rds of what a concrete pool was going for at the time. I hope this has helped. Have a great day.

      We got the sheeting for about $300 and all the steel was $1200 . The pool is 5x4 metres

    What grout did you use

    • @vanceyboy1959
      @vanceyboy1959 ปีที่แล้ว

      it was an awful rubbery sticky one - more expensive but better under water, just hard to wipe off

    • @vanceyboy1959
      @vanceyboy1959 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I cant remember the name of the grout but it came already made up and sort of rubbery. It was a tricky grout to apply and had to be cleaned off straight away. Our very hot weather at the time set it off quickly so we had to work fast. Take care and have a great day

    Wow!!! If this home-made 303 stripper clip fast loader could work for Lee-Enfield magazine,a home-made one for 7 62x54r stripper clip fast loader should also work for SVT-40,SVD,PSL,and Zastava M91 magazine as well! I've been searching online endlessly for rimmed 7 62x54r commercial speed loader but to no avail。The only thing that I've found so far was the 5 round stripper clip that ease the reloading process that are only limited for Mosin Nagant and SVT-40。Other type of 7 62x54r rifles still need to require a manual reloading into the magazine。That's quite painstakingly time-consuming and would make my thumb sore。Perhaps,a homa-made one is the only solution。

    • @vanceyboy1959
      @vanceyboy1959 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Chris I don't see why this method wouldn't work for any external magazine that provides stripper clips. I'm pleased that this may have been helpful. It was a lot of fun making it.Let me know how you go. good luck. 😊👍
