Jesse left TBS in 1999 or 2000, the fued started in spring 2001. Im pretty sure he got replaced cuz he sucked at playing bass
Will you cover ATDI Relationship Of Command?
Paramore isn't good. Yeah Yeah Yeahs forever changed the scene
Abysmal take
In 2008 cobra starship was my shit
You jerks shouldâve checked us out already
First Wrapped In Blood is my all time favorite song from Silverstein. Just saw these guys live for the first time since like 2006 a few days ago and they kicked so much ass. Great show.
I loved this
i saw them last in 07 before the brief hiatus and then last year in LA for the anniversary of TOCS and they played better than ever it was amazing to see and the fact that they played âwhen the sun sleepsâ with spencer singing, was a bucket list check âĪâĪâĪ
lol fire ass intro
met Kevin a couple times over the Warped years. this year will be my 25th warped show. ill be 37 and I am so excited!
I had to stop watching after seeing the shirt John was wearing

ðĨ love this show
Oh shit ignore my previous question. I just finished the episode haha. This one and the Brand New one were great!!!!
y'all should do finch what it is to burn.
Agree.
Bros the Anne frank part had me rofl
ðð why does Adam not like you guys?
Feel sedate
NFG comes within a few hours of my home town, I dont miss it to this day. Seen these guys 6-7x and most of that has been adult hood. Love still seeing these dudes live!
stellar interview!!
Underoath was a huge influence and lead to a scene change and success for many following bands
Damn how does this not have more views?! Mark Trombino is the GOAT. And Bleed American is easily a top 3 most influential emo album of all time (with Clarity being in my top 3 as well). Great interview ðĪ
Something that wasn't mentioned was Glassjaw definitely having some influence. Especially on The Shower Scene.
Also the song Nobody Moves from the 2006 demos has a drum beat for most of the song that is directly lifted from Two Tabs of Mescaline by Glassjaw.
ð
They talk about Brand New plenty in Where Are Your Boys by Chris Payne
Found this on Xmas day, love the pod!
One thing that really makes this album stick out from the sea of pop punk is the vocal of layering and specifically the harmonic lines. I think that's what TJ couldn't put his finger on when he said that it "sounds like Brand New"; they also took it into their later albums. Even as a teen, Jesse Lacey had pretty mature vocals.
Whoâs here from tik tok?
THIS Runs Through*
Just saw them on their TOCS tour it was amazing
Hell yeah! âNo matter what they say, I am still the king.â My favorite band of all time. Thanks for finally doing this one.
Been waiting for this one!
TJ's magnum opus <3
Great interview, Iâm new to the band Boys like Girls but Iâm a fan because of the Dashboard Collab. Looking forward to the new music ðĨ
keep bringing shane on the pod when u can, maybe even have him join yall for an album review episode...keep up the content guys
what a crazy early tour to be on with the receiving end of sirens and as tall as lions that sick af, loved this album a lot still jam a lot of the songs off Chroma to this day
Love this album! Always a good one to put on when you feel down, picks me up every time. Also, itâs a shame about Parker Cannon, Iâm sure heâs got some interesting stories to share
Tumblr brought me Tigers Jaw and i am not upset. First saw them in Eagle Rock with Pity Sex and at chain reaction for the 10 yr of this album. So good
Sir Christopher Conley.
David Bendeth didn't produce Silverstein because he thought the songs were adequate. The singer thought David was a complete "psycho" although he has never met him. David still loves Burlington and TBS. He didn't know who they were but mixed them anyway. Keep up the great work!
Got the chance to meet these guys just over a week ago in Manchester. What an amazing bunch of guys. I was so grateful for that few moments they gave me but I could hand on heart tell that they were grateful that they meant something to me too. They will never not be my favourite!
I loved this talk! I'm currently preparing backing tracks for an MCR tribute band where I'm the drummer and I didn't know the band before. I'm discovering a world! ðĪŊ
The âboys like girls in parenthesesâ. Please no. Why would people want that? Swift only did that bc she wants more moneyâĶi mean âcreditsâ. Even swifts original recordings are BETTER. Sure the new ones sound better in terms of quality, but the emotion and nostalgia cant be replicated. I think if BLG were to re record, wed lose that OG nostalgia sound as well. Martins voice has aged like fine wine, but thereâs something so raw and comforting about the original albums that i wouldnt want to change. The only âre recordsâ id want would be super old stuff i find on youtube that isnt on Spotify or anything like âi told you soâ or âkill me in a record shopâ. Back in the day id be downloading those with TH-cam to mp3, but now i have to listen to 15 yr old videos someone made on ivideo. Wow im dating myself. Happy 30th to me. Lol
I love your podcast and loved seeing you guys in Vegas! Keep it upâĨïļ
HEY GUYS ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND RUN A ZINE CALLED TUNERATSFANZINE AND WE WANTED TO KNOW IF WE COULD INTERVIEW ONE OF YOU
As musicians I feel like we want everything on an album to sound "perfect", but I love everything about the first part of this interview... people just care about the song. Nobody really thinks about how the snare sound other than the musicians who wrote it. This is actually kinda mind-blowing ð
Martin, that first album got me thru so many ups and dows over the last 18 years. That album will always be my go to when I need a pick me up or when I want to celebrate something. That album taught me to live in the moment, not to worry about what we don't know or what happened. BLG shaped my life into something I'm proud of. Thank you Martin
Only 5 mins in so forgive me if they answer it...Has anyone in the band mentioned if the Finger Things was named after the The Starting Line lyric from the song Island?
I hope their other songs (Take A Shot, Martinis and Mixed Feelings, Catch Me If You Can, etc) get proper releases as well
Sick podcast. So glad I found it. Pretty much what me and some friends sit around and talk about (and always say "this should be a podcast" lol) Good work guys. Subbed.
