The Open Throttle: Thanks for stopping by! I knew at the age of 8 I had a passion for motorcycles. As a young kid, my addiction started on motocross bikes, which led to riding sport bikes. At 25, I bought my first Harley Davidson. Just like with cars, I love customizing, and I'm always helping people with their builds. I just bought the same bike in 2024. The Mako was always my dream bike, and I chose it over a new model. I noticed you haven’t made another video since that Sturgis trip. I hope everything is ok, I look forward to new content.

Hi Greg...I'm looking at T-Bars for Mt 2011 Road King. I'm 6'3...I'm in NJ...many haters re installing these...any help re measurement, bars, risers...best video I've seen...
NJ - make sure you call Mike at Get Lowered in Warminster, PA. He can help. I went and sat on a bike that had T-Bars, and when I swapped my seat....I realized I needed another setup. It's all bike/rider specific. Take measurements and you'll be fine. Good luck!

It’s honestly cute that you feel the need to degrade any seat but yours. Terrible business plan. Maybe you guys can make another business page to try hiding negative reviews. I think the only one paying for things is you guys down there with all the different websites and business names you gotta roll with to try hiding your shitty business practices. The only cancer is your attitude. I pity anyone who deals with you
The diamonds on the ChinaBoyz seat are sloppy at best, and the gel will not only make your ass sweat, but it’ll also give you cancer. It’s sad that they’re out here paying for TH-cam videos as well as Facebook posts. Also, flip the ChinaBoyz seat over and show us that plastic vase that comes from China (because they don’t have the facilities to injection-mold bases)
Both of them are mass-produced garbage. One is made in California with Chinese materials, and the other is Made in China with a vinyl cover made in California. The ChinaBoyz tell people they “make seats in 100 unit runs”, when in reality their Chinese supplier only sells them with a 100 unit MOQ. They got half the industry buffalo’d into believing they actually manufacture seats. . . They do not. They buy foams and bases pre-fab from China and sew sloppy covers over the Chinese seats. The Saddlemen is the most replaced seat on the market by a factor of at least 5:1 and the ChinaBoyz are buying Facebook posts from anyone dumb enough to buy their product via discounts and t shirts. Their Facebook marketing campaign is non-stop, and the folks doing their bidding either don’t really ride like that, or they’re ok with having a Chinese seat at an American price.

I have been contemplating on adding the Kraus bars on my 2022 RG CVO. I have been doing a lot of research before I pull the trigger till stumbled on your video. Thank you for for you complete explanation and the breakdown about these bars. I finally know what to do next thank you!!!

It’s not even a question for me. I bought the BBC seat and rode to Sturgis and back and have put 10k miles on so far. My chick would tell me to stick it if i tried to put her on that saddleman…….

Comparing apples to oranges, to different styles of seats , if you want to compare, use saddlemen road sofa ,
Crazy. I ALSO have the CVO Mako, and LOVE the paint and the exclusivity of it. NOW its 2023 and the New CVO just hit the dealerships...I haven't seen the Orange and black one live yet, that said I have seen BOTH the Road glide and the Street glide both in the Platinum Silver.....It flat out sucks. The Bike is ALL new, Fairing is great, the motor is bigger the bags are different, huge screen now....Lots of changes INCLUDING the price. What sucks? THE PAINT. All these changes and a whole new bike and THIS is the color? A plain silver bland color? Gonna be a lot of unhappy big spenders getting that plain jane paint.
I'm biased because I loved the Mako paint, and agree that the Silver paint doesn't have the "wow" factor. A friend bought the silver CVO Street Glide, so I've had the opportunity to see it up close and I must say...it's awesome. The changes are spot on, and it's clear HD listened to its riders. The silver is about $6K cheaper than the whiskey, so I give HD credit for not charging the same for a basic paint scheme. If I was to buy a new Road Glide...I'd wait unit the RGS is updated...and then customize it and send the tins for custom paint. OR...buy the silver and repaint it. Then, you'd have a one of a kind ride.
Sorry to say but the bad boyz seat is ugly but that’s just my opinion I would go with Saddlemen seat any day I hear what your saying about backing up their products and all of that but I wouldn’t buy it just for that reason even if it ugly sorry

I am in the market and did speak to George. How does this set you compared to the saddleman? I am 5/8 30 inch inseem 12 inch hammerhead bars.
The ODI high bend bars with Kraus 10” pullbacks would feel much better. The ODI high bend bars would fit the gauge housing better and pullback risers would increase gauge visibility 😎⚡️🤙
That’s the setup I went with. I took the advise of cycle fanatix. Just waiting on them to ship! I went with 8 inch rise though
Both great seats 💺 I would keep both and use the SDC for around town and the other for touring 😎⚡️🤙
Why would anybody want these bars on a road or street glide when they totally Obstruct the use of your gauges and stereo?

The Bad Boys Freedom seat looks to seat you lower than the sattlemen which is a big deal for me as being short on one end 👍😎

Two different styles of seat. A better comparison would've been the road sofa and that freedom seat. You sound like a fanboy just trying to help your buddy sell seats
It is so confusing! What products list you need from kraus? Do I need triple plate for this setup? How can I solve the issue of the turn on mid item to turn on the bike!

I had the same experience with George from Bad Boyz Cyclez. I asked a question on their website expecting to maybe get a call back the next day, but no, I got a call back within 10 mins from George himself, not some call center rep but the owner of the company. He answered my question and then we talked for another 10-15 mins about his background and their company/products. Really cool guy, and absolutely stands by his products with second to none customer service! The Wild Bore Saddlebag Guards I bought were 10/10 on both quality and finish! So now I plan to sell my Saddlemen Road Sofa LS and pick up 1 of these Freedom series seats!

You are comparing 2 different styles of seating. I'm not quite sure it's a fair comparison. You should have done a road sofa vs the bad boy.

I tried badboys seat , I payed for and waited 4 1/2 months to receive the seat. I canceled my order and only got back some of my money. It is a scam
I ordered my seat and while it took a long time to get..I did get the seat. I talked with the people from badboyz many of times over the waiting period as a mis order by me happened. I do think some things need to be worked out there. But I don't believe it is a scam.
Ya I order one to took 6 months still didn’t get it and then I see official Mac a new venmon seat from them was like no way canceled the order and looked that seat is way over price now almost a grand for it and it’s not leather no way

When your feet are not on the floorboards you are not in the position you will be riding in. You will be leaned back farther with your feet on the boards.
Excellent video! I was curious for a long time why owners would drop soo much into a bike not to regain value but now realize it was for enjoyment not for investment! Makes of sense!
