Decent, but having the camera on a tripod would be way better.
That looks like a really well behaved kite, at least in that wind range... Would you recommend this one as a good entry level stunter for someone looking to get into tricking? P.S. Sorry for the loss of your friend. I, too, miss my friend dearly...
The bebop has to be my favourite kite, love the colours of your one. Nice beach, nice sky, nice video!
Found it, that's a cool kite.
What is that sweet kite on the wall!
Please Support: #PXB10! 😁.
Great video Dave. I just bought my first kite yesterday, a brookite stealth bomber and I'm already loving it and looking at getting something bigger like a skydog, cheers from australia 🇦🇺
Have you ever tried the ITW Wisp? Was thinking about getting one and have been trying to find a review.
4:43 that happend to me today. and my middle stick broke aswell rip
Were you able to repair it?
@@linekitewind6581 nope not yet i need to find a store that sells the parts XD
#PXB10! 😁.
Great video ! That kite is such a rare beauty and beast !
It is indeed. Would you have any ideas where I might find replacement parts? Thanks for the view and the comment!
@@linekitewind6581 I really enjoy your channel . Your videos are what encouraged me to try out a Symphony foil . Im still trying to research where parts can be found for that awesome fazer
@@unstablewindz9462 Neat! Which Symphony did you get?
#PXB10! 😁.
Thanks for the review! Love that t-shirt, p/g is such an under appreciated album.
wonderfull review , Many thanks
My pleasure. Thanks for the view and the comment!
What’s that kite in the back
That is a Fazer XL by HQ kites. I just posted a vid about it. Thanks for the view and the comment, keep flying!
Great video, looks like you had a fun day. Thanks for sharing. Regards Moon.
Oh brother...I spelled beach wrong! LOL!
Whats that kite in the background
It is a wind surfer doing his thing.
The one on the wall in the background looks like the HQ Fazed XL . That model is discontinued , pretty difficult to find one
@@unstablewindz9462 I've found recently that it is also very hard to find replacement parts. Check out my newest vid where I showcase the Fazer XL> Thanks for the view and the comment, keep flying!
thanks for sharing the video .. :) Kite looks to fly very well indeed ,,
Red sonja isn't red, it's orange!… and by 5-6 bft it begins to make fun….
Gotta say I'm thinking of a 4 D! Too many times when the wind is below 2mph. I have a question about the state of the sport.... I did a lot of sport kiting 15 to 20 years ago, but I've been out of the loop for a while, and I'm just coming back up to speed now. Did the sport for flying these deltas take a hit or something? It seems like some companies like Prism used to have really high-end competition models (like the Prophecy), but looking around I feel like they're harder to find. In addition, it seems like it's way easier to find resources dealing with power kites and kiteboarding/surfing rather than precision or trick kites...
I've only been in the hobby for a few years now so I can't really speak with any authority on the matter. However, I feel like the popularity of the power kites and kiteboarding do seem to overshadow the trick kites and sporting kites. But then I'm sure that there are still good precision kites are still out there. My Neutrino is pretty responsive when I fly him solo. With the stacks, he slows down a bit but is still surprisingly responsive. Thanks for the view and the comment! 👍
I would recommend HQ kites for stunt kites. I have the nexus and quantum... they cannot even compare to HQ mestrow and infinity. I like prism kites for cruising, though. I bought the 4D and took it for its 1st spin today. It's an amazing kite. Goes super fast on next to no wind at all.
The sport absolutely took a hit in the late 90s to early 2000s and stayed down, if you will. If youre looking for high end or boutique kites, Canvas Kite Designs (USA), L'atelier Kites (France), Benson Kites (UK), LeveloneUSA (Germany/usa), Skyburner (USA), WindR (France), etc are good places to go. The resurgence is certainly on the rise both as a flier and business owner, but its tentative--- however, we're all optimistic. The high end market is substantially reduced due to the lack of fliers that do want to fly and pursue kites at a high level, but thats come back fairly strongly in covid with some companies having a waitlist of 10-12 weeks, which is great news. A lot of people that put down the lines are coming back to the sport as well- if you're ever at an event or busy field reach out in some Facebook groups like the Pilots Lounge, Stunt Kite Classics, etc, and I'm sure a handful of people will meet anyone.
Keep your hands neutral and in front when steering, not near your head or face. Think of it like a bike with handlebars. how wide the handlebars are or how high you lift them doesn't make a difference... but.... pushing one side of the handlebar does! Otherwise, happy to see more kite videos getting made! Keep it up.
We were just up in that area and flew some deltas and sing strings kites in the crazy sand whipping wind. Also, visited and bought my first two string foil from The Kite Company. Cannot wait to get that one in the wind. Thanks for these vids, great to see different styles of kites and how they perform in different conditions.
Thank you for the comment. Keith runs a quality kite shop, doesn't he? For 30 years The Kite Company has been in that same location. He knows his stuff! Happy flying!
In this video, I mistakenly refer to Randy as a cell kite. He is, in fact, a parafoil kite. A parafoil kite is made up of several cells, hence my confusion.
I mistakenly refer to Sonja as a 'cell kite' in this video. She is, in fact, a parafoil kite. A parafoil is made up of several cells, hence my misunderstanding. Always learning!
That seems like a really good kite. Had the neat ability to stall out at the top of the curve and then hope position. Really neat
That was the first 'trick' I learned. Most other tricks work off of a stall. And I have to say, once you get it down it isn't a problem at all. But learning to stall a kite in a strong wind (this video was shot in relatively low winds) is frustratingly difficult. Get it right though, and it is truly a thing of beauty!
This is the best kite flying channel I have ever watched.
LOL!
