Hey Dan and Abby, Did Epik give you a bigger apartment because you were a married couple? Was it hard organising to teach in nearby schools together? Any advice on organising the Epik program as a married couple would be super helpful!

I've gone a minimum of a night without my hubby and a maximum of a month and a half because he's a truck driver. But he's usually gone for about 3 weeks. However, even though it sucks and we're used to it, something about this would suck even more for us. Possibly because we're supposed to be on vacation hahaha.

다른 유튭에서 영상 잘 보았어요 근데 궁금한 게 있는데... 어머니가 한국인이고 한국에도 친척들이 많은 것 같은데...어려서부터 한국어를 왜 배우지 않았나요?? 다른 영상에 보니 어릴 적..한국 음식을 친구들과 먹는 걸 싫어하고?? 아니 부끄러워 하고 한국어 사용하는 것도 꺼려했던 것 같은데...당신의 어머니는 한국인으로서의 정체성에 대해 안 가르쳤나요? 한국인의 피가 흐른다는 게 부끄러웠나요?? 그렇다면 왜죠?? 그리고 이제 성인이 되어 한국으로 온 이유는 무엇이죠?? 한국이 과거와 다르게 선진국이 되어서 이제야 한국이 부끄럽지 않아서 갑자기 한국인으로서의 정체성을 찾고 싶었던 건가요?? 한국 혼혈인들의 정체성 운운...과연 한국인 될 수 있을까? 운운하는 방송을 자주 봅니다 근데...그런 영상들 보고 있으면 솔직히 한국서 나고 자란 우리 한국인들은 좀 불쾌해요 한국이 그리 잘 나가지 못 했을 때는 한국인의 피가 흐른다는 걸 숨기고 한국말도 안 쓰려 하던 혼혈인들이 이제 와서 한국의 뿌리가 자랑스럽다며 한국으로 몰려 오는데....솔직히 달갑지 않아요 한국을 얼마나 사랑하나요?? 그저 좋을 때 좋고 필요 하기에 좋은 그런 감정적인 사랑 말구요... 당신의 목숨 까지도 바쳐서 이 나라 한국을 위할 마음이 있나요?? 우리 한국인들은 전쟁이 나더라도 한국 떠나지 않고 나라를 지키기 위해 싸울 각오를 합니다 그런데 당신의 생각은 어떠십니까?? 한국인 될 수 있을까?? 고민 하기 전에 먼저 한국을 위해 얼마나 마음을 다 하여 한국을 진정으로 사랑할 수 있을까를 먼저 고민하시길 바랍니다 한국인으로서의 의무나 수고스런 일은 하기 싫고 이제 와서 한국인들이 이루어 놓은 시스템 위에 숟가락 얹어서 쉽게 쉽게 가려는 외국인들 혼혈인들 너무나 싫습니다 최근 영어 원어민 강사 발 확진자 급증과 홍대 밤 거리의 외국인들 술판 모습.... 이 시국에 굳이 꾸역 꾸역 한국으로 기어 들어 오는 이유는 무엇이며 .. 한국 왔으면 한국 법규를 잘 지키고 한국 문화를 존중해야 하는데 당신들 외국인들은 그렇지 않더군요. 한국을 너무 만만하게 봅니다 ..그러니 그런 난장판 술판을 벌이겠죠?? 당신들은 당신들 자국의 문화와 관습이나 습관을 기준으로 한국인들을 평가 하려고 하더군요. 타문화 존중 운운 하지만 정작 안 그래요 왜?? 함부로 한국은 이렇고 저렇고 운운하며 평가하는 방송을 하죠?? 당신들 외국인들의 시선이 모두 옳은 건 아닌데..한국 이러쿵 저러쿵..하는 거 너무 싫습니다 그리고....부모님이 선교사라 하셨죠? 당신도 하나님을 믿구요..??? 그런데....술 먹는 모습 방송에 보이더군요....그리고 대화 중에도 똑 똑 하는 언어 습관....보기 안 좋아요 그런 모습은 평소에도 술을 엄청 좋아하고 놀기 좋아하는 사람처럼 보이더군요. 그저 인생 즐기면서 살자...그렇게 보여요.. 하나님을 진심으로 믿는 사람들..성령으로 거듭난 사람들은 자신의 몸이 자신의 것이 아닙니다 성령님이 거주 하시는 성전이요 교회의 일부분입니다 예수님이 머리가 되시는 거죠 근데...아무렇지도 않게 술 마시고 놀고....그런 모습 여과 없이 방송에 비추이고.... 신앙의 초보 단계인 믿음의 사람들이 자칫 실족할 수 있는 일은 안 하는 게 바람직하다고 봅니다 그리고 이 땅에서의 행복이나 인생의 즐거움만을 위해 살지 말고....영원한 나라 하나님의 사람들의 고향인 천국을 사모하며 날마다 성령님의 인도하심에 순종하며 거룩하게 살려고 하세요 하나님께서도 내가 거룩하니 너희도 거룩하라 하셨습니다 그렇다고 해서 바리새인 종교인이 되라는 건 아닙니다 주일에만 교회 출석하는 종교인 되지 마시고 매일 성경 말씀 읽고 기도하면서 하나님의 품성에 가까워 지는 성화의 과정에 순종하며 사시길 바랍니다 우리 모두 하나님을 자신의 소원이나 이 땅에서의 행복한 삶을 이루어 주는 도구로 생각하지 맙시다 한 번 구원은 영원한 것 이라며 맘대로 살 게 아닙니다 한 번 구원은 영원하지 않으며.. 두렵고 떨림으로 그 구원을 유지..하나님의 나라에 이를 때까지 끝까지 견디며 나아가야 합니다 우리 모두 진심으로 온 맘 다하여 순수한 마음과 순수한 동기로 하나님을 사랑합시다
