A “Community Leader and Man of All Trades” is a good way to describe Don Page. Not only was Don a DeLand City Commissioner and then Mayor from 1973 - 1977, he also became a founding member and charter president of the DeLand State Bank. After becoming a real estate and insurance broker, Don started the Page Insurance Agency which is still an active business in DeLand. At the invitation of Stetson President Pope Duncan, Don became a professor at the University’s School of Business and a major fund-raiser for the college. His time was also spent with numerous community organizations until his retirement when he and his wife Barbara chose to travel the world! Viewers will be impressed with Don’s various and many contributions to his community, and his good advice to youth: “Prepare yourself today for the opportunities you don’t even know are going to exist in the future.”
