Hi Jason Thanks for the video. Does “A” icon with High beam assist only turn on, when its dark outside Or is there absolutely no indicator that Auto High Beam is Turned on?

I have an android will I disable this from my phone or the car radio? I do not want any notification of any type except phone calls.

Omg, thanks. I remember setting the memory from inside. Someone forced my door while doing my rustproof pressed memory rather than press to open hatch. Then from inside or outside when I wanted to open, it would open slightly and stop. Whatever I did to reset from inside didn’t work. What worked : memory not pushed ,open gate fully, manually set the height, go inside press memory, go outside and hold the press button of the gate(beeps differently than when closing), press the button outside to close it. It closed. Going from inside, pressed open gate and it opened where I set it from outside. Thank you 🙏 It worked

Can an oem push to start button be installed on a 2017 outback?

I have the 11 6 and it says i can do it and i did it, then when i turned the car off and back on, it wwnt away.

Not sure if this has been answered but if you install the remote start module will it automatically work with the cars key fob or does does the key fob need to be programmed for this to work?

BUT...can you still use the built-in Subaru assistant with a quick tap? Because it doesn't work in my 2024 Crosstrek Premium and I'm subscribed fully to starlink for both options (basic version with the added security option) and google works perfectly, Subaru assistant 100% everytime asks me to repeat the command even though I'm asking the exact way as recommend on screen.

Hardly hands free. Chevy and Ford can do hands free for years now thru apple play. Get a clue Subaru

2017 Outback. The tailgate will not open when the car is running unless I shut it off. Car is in park and doors are unlocked. Used to work and now it won’t allow me to open up unless the engine is not running.

So I guess if you have another carrier you (ie., Xfinity) you can't hook it upt o a Subaru? Seems like AT&T control Subaru WiFi?

Presentation / teaching is an art. At 11:13 has an interjection of "like" which is understandable from a human viewpoint but not in teaching, IMO. "My advice is to read the manual" does not have words inserted in the middle. I look for faults. I find faults, even when they are not there. I would have appreciaated more meat and potatoes, less salesman beating around the bush, more than once. The "how to" in the title held too much promise with the 12 minute run time, and could have been shorter. I write this not to hurt. You want subscribers. I want to see them want to come for more. It may take a script.

Thank you for clarifying that without the remote start module installed in the _engine_ , no hardware based remote start will function. As others have indicated, the phone-based remote start is a completely different beast, relying instead on an adequate data connection for both the phone and the car. This is not necessarily a given everywhere in the US, and it has a yearly fee for the continued network capability. In the short run it's cheaper, but in the long run it can get pricey. I like the fact that the hardware option is available, and that in a pinch you can use the regular key fob (at reduced range). When I inquired about this with Subaru, they claimed that installing the remote access transmitter into the regular access key fob would compromise its range, and that's why they have kept it separate.

pretty dumb that a 2024.model crosstrek premium with keykess fob has to have an additional fob and modeule to remote start (unless you use the app of course which is cool but not always handy say, if carrying groceries ir whatever and then having to screw with unlocking your phone, then unlocking the app etc. Seems like a simple setup in the keyless fob would have made much more sense.

The most simple explanation is that in Snow and Dirt mode all the power is directed to the wheel with maximum grip and the other wheels are not spinning. in Deep Snow and Mud all the power is equaliy distributed between all wheels and they all spin even if not touching the ground.

I am happy to report that my 2024 Subaru outback wilderness has been updated at the dealer three days ago and I have not had any microphone cutting out issues since. This is a dealer update. It is not available over the air. Thank God this finally got resolved.

After restarting after having a dead battery (car was sitting in the airport parking lot for a week), the lift gate wouldn't open. Your tip for pressing and holding the lift gate button at the rear of the vehicle down for twenty seconds did the trick! It works! (2019 Outback) Thanks for sharing this information.

This feature really sucks and the engineers who came up with it should be in another business. Who are they to decide when I should listen to the radio and to remind me to follow road rules? It's absurd. This feature should be discontinued and there should a recall to remove it in vehicles that are already out there. I loved my 2010 Outback and drove it as long as I could. But because of this lousy feature I'm not sure I'd buy a Subaru again.

I was wondering how to lock the power gate on my 2017 Forester. The doors are locked & my husband can still just open it. Took the keys in the house thinking maybe the fob was too close. No idea about the memory gate. Just got the vehicle a week ago. The dealer sent off for the full operator’s manual since it wasn’t with it.

Hit the "SOURCE" button on the steering wheel....this button selects ...AM...FM...Sirius etc but if you hold it down it will shut off the audio and message will show that
