I think it’s good overall, but would definitely upgrade hardware and pickups, probably would do that with any kit though. Also the tuners could use an upgrade, I haven’t done it yet due to the cost of better ones. 🍻

I built it with stock amp block FAS 6160 with ML 5150 cab block from ML sound labs. still not quite where I want it but I guess finding the tone you want is a never ending adventure 🍻

@@CucemberJones Right on. Tone sounds really good -- very close. I'm actually working on tunes from that album and I am using the 5153 Stealth Blue and the new 5153 Stealth 412 cabs. I read that Ed recorded most tracks on that album with a 5153 stealth mod 100w head and two 5153 412 cabs. On the cabs, there was one ribbon mic and one 57 sent to the console (total of 4 mono tracks). This allowed Ed to mix in the ribbon mics that bring in a lot of bottom end while the 57 carried the mid/treble crispness. These tracks were panned hard left and hard right (each pair) and a little delay was added to the ribbon tracks to create width that you hear on the album. I've been experimenting with doing something similar in my Axe FX3 and Reaper and I'm getting really close to the album tone - at least on She's The Woman.
