Make Snow Cone Syrup with Kool Aid and Ssugar

Pick your favorite packages of kool-aid and make snow cone syrup. So many flavors to choose from. Enjoy summer recipe.
1 package of Kool-Aid
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup of water
bring sugar and water to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Sprinkle Kool - aid into the water sugar mixture and stir for 2 minutes. Pour it into a bottle and cool in the refrigerator.
make snow cone ice with snow cone maker or blender. Top with your DIY snow cone syrup.

    Sure do you want to say thank you thank you for your time and the sharing of your wisdom and knowledge! We use an electric percolator and just purchased one of these stove top percolators because it seems like lately our electric goes out more often and you gotta start your day off right reading the word and drinking your morning coffee.     I used to make this back in the 80s and give that in canning jars with gingham and a ribbon on the lid as Christmas gifts thank you for bringing back some wonderful memories I think if I can find Tang I will make it this year

      Experience. I set my timer for 5-7 minutes once it starts perking. Depending on how you like your coffee it may take 5 minutes maybe 7 minutes. You just have to taste it to determine how bold you like it

      I do not toast them. I either cook them like in oatmeal, eat them raw in a smoothie or when I make protein balls or bake them in cookies

    I know I'm a bit late in the game here but I usually use the broth from cooking the chicken to cook the dumplings in. makes a huge dfference in flavor.

    Just a point of clarification: Heat doesn't kill yeast. The cool environment of a refrigerator slows the yeast's metabolism so they age and die slower.

    You contaminated your milk by putting you spoon you tasted from in the jars. Your Salvia on the spoon digests the milk. That is why you don't feed a baby from the jar. Basic hygiene. I wouldn't eat at your house. It is thin because your Salvia decomposed it.

      Be sure and let it set a couple of minutes before pouring. Depending on the ground of coffee you are using you may have coffee grounds in the bottom of your cup

    I'd put some warm/hot water in the caraf/thermos BEFORE pouring the finished coffee in it -- it'd help keep the coffee HOT 'fore ya' wanted to drink, IMO. Good idea, though, to put in the thermos. Y'all Be Safe!

      Everyone has different taste. this is what we grew up on and love. I guess you grew up on the traditional lemon pie which I do not like at all. We all have different tate, no right or wrong, just different. thank you for your comment.

      I'm 67 and other than traditional piecrust, it's what I was taught by both my Granny & Momma. In Texas , so maybe it's more of where you grew up / culture differences 🤷🏻‍♀️. Or possibly timing didn't work for your altitude. I really don't know what went wrong for you. You are free to not make it again and find other recipes that fit your tastes. Good luck

I ordered it on Walmart delivery and saw that the shopper didn’t pick up the one I wanted because it wasn’t available, but instead picked out this one for me, I came to TH-cam to see if I could make this one work. After I saw the comment about chopping a finger off, as soon as the Walmart delivery driver came to the door to drop it off to me, I said “nope, take it back.” 😂

    Is is possible that Recipe #1 is the best, but you did not add enough water? I have a recipe in front of me with the same measurements, except the water is 1-3/4 cup boiling water. It went into the fridge a little pourable, and came out semi-solid, until stirred. Then it looked just like the canned condensed milk.
