lovely ride Ray!! And big thanks to @jonm7272 for the insight
The 40mph speed limit there is bs. And a very recent (and unwelcome) change for us locals (thanks for the attention Top Gear!) . Luckily there's only one average speed camera at the bottom of the hairpins, but not another one until you get up on to the plateau, so as long as you stop in the car park to take in the views at the top of the hill, we can still go as, fast as you like on the bends. I like to think they did that on purpose for us. 😂
Yeah, I understand your view. now that you’ve mentioned it obviously I spoke as a first time rider who has no idea where the corners are how steep the next corner might be. but for locals like Yourself, I feel your pain it most likely has become an annoyance. But yes, the saving grace for you locals, is the fact that there’s not another Camera until the end to be honest I didn’t notice that.😂 yeah it’s there for the newbies I think. So it’s probably best not to mention it.🤫 Anyway, thanks for watching and thanks for your interesting comments.
@@RayZach68 As an added bonus, there's usually an ice cream van in the little car park at the top of the hill, so we can have a '99 and take in the wonderful view while our average speed drops enough to carry on 😂😂. If you're ever up there again, there's a junction on your right just before the last hairpin towards the top of the hill. If you turn right there you will find a wonderful little single-track road that offers an alternative way over the mountain (much more leisurely) with superb views of Carreg Cennen castle as you ride along. Would highly recommend this as a nice way to turn the mountain into a super scenic route loop from Llangadog.
@ yeah, I remember seeing that turn off excellent. I’ll definitely check it out next time.👍🏾
Nice view
@@guy_onwheel thanks bro. It’s been awhile. How are you doing?

@@shernettew6022 🤣😂 👏🏾👏🏾yea!!
Ive got into a habit of kicking the chain when I get on the bike. I use my bike all the time so it stretches a lot, such a pain in the arse but im lucky that the adjustment on a VFR is easy.
No way dude, a brake down at the worst possible time. You were a lot calmer than I would of been lol. Have you found out what's wrong?
I’m away at the moment, so no I haven’t found out the problem ,not yet.
ive had the same problem but its was the wiring loom had me stranded for 3 hours
What did you do how did you get it sorted?
Had so many electrical problems with bikes. It's totally put me off them. I'm eyeing up a Royal Enfield atm but I don't know if I can risk it again. Pity because when they are running I really enjoy riding.
@@letni9506 nice, the royal Enfield. Go for it.
Hopefully it's not the stator or rectifier going out . I had one of those go out on a birthday ride. I had to push my gsxr home 2 miles😂😂
That must’ve been a hard push man 😁
Good man Ray, looks like an interesting and enjoyable trip! 🙏
Yea it was really nice and interesting and everything all in one. 👍🏾👌🏾
Hi Ray, yep a new chain even though new will stretch so you have to keep checking it. Depending on how you ride can affect the chains tension eg low speed snatchy chugging, hard acceleration and riding long distance. Secondly, you have the conditions; wet roads, dry dusty roads, heat and cold .... Its a tough life being a chain on a motorcycle. Check your chain daily and adjust it according to the manual. Ride safe Cheers man.
@@johnyoung6498 that’s excellent mate, thanks 1 million will do
Nice to see you again.chain.... I check mine almost before every trip for slack and lubrication,go on youtube to see how to do it for your vulcan
@@glyngreenwood8377 okay mate nice one thanks.

Yeah, it’s really peaceful man
Nice content 🔥👊
Big up
The blind corners out there are insane 😂. Time to get some frame sliders if they have them. Practicing in the rain makes a seasoned rider
Yes, this was a nice narrow country lane and the corners quite steep but it was a nice ride though. I wanna put some engine guards on as soon as I can. I’m going to put a sissy bar on. The idea for me and Sophia to go on Bike somewhere local at first then maybe take some longer roads together.
