Rehbab Sahab Zikr | Museum of Kashmir x @omarbazaz
This is a trailer from the Urs of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jeelani last month. This congregation was held at Rahbab Sahab Shrine in Old Srinagar. The shrine is named after a pious Sufi of the Qadirriya Order, Shaykh Abdul Raheem Qadiri, also known as Rah Baba Sahab.
The Qadiriyya Order, a prominent Sufi order founded by Shaykh Sayyid Abdul Qadir Gilani in the 12th century, made its way to Kashmir in the late 15th or early 16th century. The order's influence grew significantly in the region, with notable figures like the 16th-century scholars and Sufi master Shaykh Sayyid Ismail Shami who laid the foundation of the Qadirriya order in Kashmir.

Because of religious appropration. The main mosque in Srinagar today was originally a Kali temple. Islamic "Kashmiri" civilisation is not a continuation of the indigenous Kashmiri civilisation. It's like saying American culture is a continuation of native American culture just because the two exist on the same piece of land.

Wrong information. Kashmir hinduism was never classified into 4 classes. There were only two classes Rich & Poor. Conversions happened when Shah-e- Hamadan forcefully married Hindu Queen Kota Rani after death of Rinchen Shah. First rich were converted by force while poor left their religion to sway with new Islamic power in Kashmir.
Kashmir Shaivism ( monotheism) is considered similar to values of Islam ( monotheism). Caste system of discrimination is alien to ancient Kashmir valley, history is distorted, Sanskrit language by Sharda script is dead, who killed Sharda script ? Universal is Allah is kind is harmony to all .
Yaar kya bol raha hai Vaishya ham Wanis the Trade hamara paisha hai centuries se khatris ka nahi. Yaha sabse zyada zulum ham Wanis par ho raha tha Kyunki Kashmir mein toh shudra the hi nahin mujhe toh ak bhi nahi mila shudra yahan aajtak 🤣

Zareef saeb, you produce great material about recent history of Kashmir in general and Srinagar city in particular. It is admirable and at our ages we are living witness to the events. (I am 73 and my ancestral house was in Alikadal, Budhgair). But you need to study more of early kashmir history. You are totally wrong in advocating that conversions took place bcoz of exploitation of lower castes. Sheikh Abdullah's great grand father was Raghav Ram Koul.(His own statement in Aatish e Chinar). And you know Kouls are not lower castes. Try to find out your own ancestry if interested, you may find it ending up with some Brahmin. Most of the mass conversions were with force. This is recorded even by muslim historians of the times. Heard about Sikhandar Butshikan, Musa Raina, Sadruddin(Suh Bhat), Shamsuddin Arakki etc? They were brutal. Obviously, we cannot find a human witness to tell us what they went through, including your ancestors who accepted conversion to live. But ruins of grand temples still stand as witness to the dark events. Khankah e maula was a Kali Tample. It was occupied by Shah e Hamdan and converted into Khankah. Pandits still pray at the wall on the river side ghat below. Not to speak of Martand etc which we all hv known as 'Pandav Lari'. These are standing witness to history. All the ancient temples stand destroyed except a couple of them for some reasons - one is at Pandrethan (now within Army cantonement at Badami Bagh). Prominent temples now existing in Kashmir were constructed in Dogra rule. So this narrative that conversions happened willingly bcoz lower castes were unhappy is totally misplaced.
Isalm first enter to Kashmir through through trade and sufi missionaries. Prominent figures like Bulbul Shah Kashmiri and Shahi Hamdan palyed a significant role. In the 14th century, after the fall of the Hindu Lohara dynasty, Kashmir came under Muslim rule. Some policies under rulers like Sultan Sikandar (commonly referred to as "Sikandar Butshikan") have been described as coercive, including forced conversions, although historical accounts on this are biased and doesn't have a solid proof. Talking about the dogra dinesty, it was brutal, weather it was forced labour or forcing women into prostitution. It has beed described as an act of humiliating Muslim population because for dogra women prostitution was illigal but Muslim women were forced in it, particularly the widows and orphans. Building Hindu temples is not even a factor to determine whether the dynasty was good or bad. It is just because you are a hindu. A significant portion of the population embraced Islam over time, often voluntarily, due to the influence of Sufi teachings and the socio-political advantages of aligning with the ruling class. Additionally, the egalitarian principles of Islam appealed to many in the caste-based society Cast system was not a main factor but people gradually with time accept islam as he said later 2:14 . He just said people were fed up with cast system islam seems them a batter option.
@@User1a2 I am not defending Dogras for their rule or anything else. I just mentioned that all ancient temples were destroyed before that. That is the evidence of forced conversions besides historical records. Pl read Bharistan e Shahi and Tofat ul Abab. Both written by muslim authors of the period.
@@JaanbaazKoshurTofatat ul Abab, written by Baba Dawood Khaki, a disciple of Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom, highlights the spiritual efforts of Sufi saints in spreading Islam in Kashmir. It portrays the transformative influence of Sufism and doesn't specifically state that the convertions were forced. Bahristan-e-Shahi does not specifically argue that Islam was forced on the people of Kashmir. It provides a historical account of the spread of Islam in the region, emphasizing the role of Sufi saints, missionaries, and rulers in introducing and promoting Islam. It also criticised Sultan Sikandar for demolition of temples and religious restrictions on Hindus. But still it not an authentic book. It was written by an anonymous auther. The events described, especially those from earlier periods, were often based on oral traditions or second-hand accounts rather than direct observation or contemporary records. This makes it prone to exaggerations or selective recounting of events or to emphasize hindu suffering. Also there are other books like Ain-i-Akbari, Tarikh-i-Kashmir by Haidar Malik Chaduara. These texts highlight that people converted due to admiration for Sufi spirituality and their emphasis on equality and justice, rather than through force. You are only trusting Bahristan e Sahi, because you are a hindu and you don't like Muslim rulers, i guess. Bahristane Sahi also emphasizes Sufism. There might be historical accounts were non muslims were forced to convet but saying islam was forcibly introduced in Kashmir is baseless. We have a whole history of soufi saints. We embraced islam which is not possible by any forcible convertion.
Incomplete story or rather half truth. Islam spread only by violence
Andhbhakt not allowed in Kashmir
Chup be low birth mere ancestors ne khud ISLAM accept kiya tha
If U Think Converted Man Speaks Truth, Then Ex Muslims Are Also True 😅😂
It is the truth lol. If you have something to challenge what is he saying, then bring it on.
@Gen-wt then ex muslims are also true 😂 lol, even they prove themselves everyday with open debates with any muslim or their scholars. Enjoy AdamSeeker & Sahil, Founder of Ex muslims ✌️
@@RajputAjeetSinghVlogsLeave aside those bagodas, they are already being challenged by many Muslim scholars, they don't even accept their challenge. I myself have been an ex Muslim but 2 years ago I reverted back. As far as hindu scholars are concerned, they too run away from Muslim scholars. Only one time I have seen a hind guy debating with muslim student danial haqiqatjou, watch the debate and decide yourself that who is on right path. Even his own hindu audience got disappointed with his performance. I asked you if have have anything else to challenge what he said, bring it on. You didn't answer lol
@@Gen-wt converted muslims are too bagodas 😂 ur scholars never debate with ex muslims, i too watch debates. Oll muslims try to check the ex muslims but run aways debates when they read on their books what ex muslims say. 😂 secondly, none of ur scholar debates with genuine hindu scholars. U enjoy the debates with those who dont even know 10% of Hindu scriptures. Still in 21st century what are muslims doin in majority regions, attacking non muslims to convert or die or raped etc look in bangladesh, pakistan & even in kashmir. Read the era of Sikandar how peacefully people for converted in Kashmir. The way muslims treat others & force them to convert, we hindus never did in History. Thats y we are called mother of democracy & non muslim country believes in democracy. Imp. Chooseing Religion ll not make u rt or wrong, its ur own action which is rt or wrong. First learn about relion concept, its humans who created this concept in politics. There was no such things in past, there used to be ideology of believes nothing else.
Ex non Muslims Are in majority😊😊😊 than Ex Muslims 😂😂😂
