you say I'm racist for not liking Annabeth being black, how about we circle back to my point about miles morales. I love his character, and I genuinely consider him one of my favorite marvel characters, he's black not for the sake of being black, but just because the writer of his original story before he starred in the spiderverse movies (I remember him existing before then, correct me if I'm wrong) felt that it contributed to the story (It does). How does Annabeth being black contribute to the story? It actually hurts the story, since the confederate soldiers in the sea of monsters would view her as being as human as the namesakes of the aforementioned sea, but in the books, they quite liked her, because of her home state of Virginia. I have nothing against Leah herself, I understand that a job like that would be great, and I don't hate her for it, but actors in adaptations are supposed to resemble their characters, are they not? By choosing diversity over accuracy, they hurt not only the immersion of longtime fans, but they hurt the narrative as well. I also fact checked the description of Annabeth in the books and compared it to the book cover of blood of Olympus (well, the cover of the one I own, I found a few different ones online before, remembering my personal mini-library.) curly blonde hair? kinda check, on the cover I wouldn't really consider it curly, but I believe this description is from the first book so idk she might have changed it, but it is most certainly blonde. stormy gray eyes? check, no explanation needed. Tan skin? very clearly true. This disproves your comment about annabeth on the BoO cover, leading to either 1. you have horrid attention to detail, 2. you have a version with a different cover, or, worst of all, 3. you know I'm right but desperately need an excuse to criticize me. My bets are on 2, but being you have very obvious political leanings 3 certainly isn't disqualified.
