Vlog: Cooking my Favorite Camp Snack for Beer
Hi, would you say this tent stays warm without any heaters? I’m wondering if the open mesh on top would make it too cold if I were to camp near water where it gets cold at night during summer
@@lilyshhh4 I felt this tent stayed pretty warm considering how much wind we had on the night filming this. I was super surprised. My concern if you’re camping next to water would be condensation in the air. If it’s coming down I don’t think it would be a problem but just humid air might be a little much for the open top even with the rain fly on. If I ever I’m in that situation with it I’ll keep that in mind and report back
Why not just cook rice at home & then bring it??? Why must you cook it at camp?
Just wanted to try it… was going to bring a rice cooker 😅
Hey bro, looking to do some dispersed camping near big bear it am open to any spots within socal next April or may hoping to you have any recommendations or good spots desolate and not to hard to get to. Have an suv not decked out for off roading by any means. Also any spots you know that has a ton of mosquitoes I’d like to avoid. Last thing I was hoping for a spot on a forest service road if possible too
Coo Bro. Taiwan Snowpeak fan is here to sign out. this video is awesome!
Thank you! It was super fun! I appreciate you!
Is that the group campsite? If not, try the group campsite. Idk what’s it’s called but me & my nieces/nephews had a blast there. Thanks for sharing this video 👌🏾
This was not the group site. I see it all the time driving in but have never checked it out, next time I will! I appreciate you!
@ I wish there were more camping spots in San Diego country. We’ve been to all the campsites in Julian & Ramona. We’ve camped on the beach etc etc. So I’ve been exploring the Joshua Tree sites & Idyllwild. Love your videos. Give Crinkle some belly rubs for me
@@Fotosynthesis858dm me on ig! Maybe we can swap spots
Always enjoy your videos. I travel from SoCal to eastern WA frequently, lotsa beautiful areas up there and you did well capturing the essence of the place. Kudos!
@@jessikainla thank you! I really appreciate you! And yes, we will definitely be back up. Such a magical part of the country :)
What gear would you recommend from Snow Peak?
I’m a huge fan of the Alpha Breeze tent. But for something a little smaller I also love the folding torch. It makes it extremely easy to light wood, coals, brickets… also I gotta mention the takibi foldable grill/firepit…great for grilling and/or chilling
Did you continue keeping the rain fly attached? I'm just wondering if it makes getting the collapsed tent small enough to get back into the storage bag....or impedes the process of folding it up again.
I know right where you're at and wondered if you had any cell coverage (Verizon) since I work on the road at times
I don’t know about Verizon but we had really good AT&T reception
Hey do you have the exact location for this place, would love to do some camping and dirt biking here, Thanks !
Thank you for the real world review. Any update on the d ring that fit?
Cool video bro! I'm thinking of getting the Overland edition but then also thinking I should just get a roof top for my Tundra. Keep the videos and updates coming!
I see CA cleans their fire pits, it’s a little full….
😂😂😂🏴☠️
Thank you for the thorough review AND set up. First time is nearly impossible. Whew!
Nice. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Ryan has to go back and hit the hard line!!!
😂😂😂
1k SUBS!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥 LFG.
Jalapeno Gold 10/10 !!! 🏴☠
Great video as usual. Questions; Which Rally Tek springs and shocks did you go with? How did you mount the fridge slider to the cargo floor? Plywood base?
I went with 1inch thick plywood because of how heavy the fridge and dometic fridge slider. bolt it on the existing tie down bolts on the jeep. I have to also purchase longer bolts. I covered it up with a heavy duty G-floor diamond vinyl sheet flooring stapled on the plywood. Bought everything at Home Depot.
@arrbyypiratestash Just cut it to shape and use double turn buckles to hold it down? Did you remove spare tire or just leavening in there? Which Rally Tek shocks and springs you get? I was thinking Bilstien B6 all around, and the Rally Teks. I have a 2019 3.6
there is no spare tire in the trunk. Just flat. Jeep and the Campthropology subi spare tire are on a swing out or the tailgate carrier.
I have the Rallitek overload spring on all 4 wheels. I appreciate ya!!
Love the videos! How do I get my hands on some stickers for my rig!?!
Yo I appreciate you! The last of the stickers are available on SlimPickins website slimpickinsoutfitters.com/products/campthropology-stickers?_pos=1&_sid=4ff88c106&_ss=r&variant=44910476755118
keep it up brudda ur the backbone of camping spots across the country 🙏
I appreciate you 🙏🏾🤙🏾
I dont open the floor to set up the poles. I just put them into the bottom corners. Role those window covers into themselves to prevent water from pooling.
I like the Luci lights for the interior lighting!
They work so well. This is the 40ft versions. It’s great bc you can detach the hub to charge via solar or plug without taking down all the lights
Feliciraciones simplemente especracular
Good job
Those Coleman canisters suck but they’re priced well and always available at Walmart. Don’t use those in serious cold…//they perform like shit as they only have 70% butane 30% propane and no isobutane 60% butane 40% propane would perform much better in cold!
Dude! Great video and great review! Subscribed
@@mattmackrell2323 thanks! I appreciate you!
Due to the removable floor did u have a problem with bugs?
I have not. But it is a concern. I try and make sure the Velcro is sealed tight
I love this video. I have had the Gazelle T4 Plus and I actually removed the tub floor from the screened area and use an indoor/outdoor rug there with lawn chairs and a table. The pointer I want to give, I picked up a bunch of little plastic beads for those "friction strings". These pieces look like the teeth of a shark. They have a hole that I threaded the straight string through and tied it off. Then simply push them through the loop. I also use them on the interior divider.
@@rickwolfram5336 first, that floor idea as a rug is brilliant! Second, and also brilliant, is using those plastic pieces! I will def be trying both these suggestions! Thanks!
I took this tent to the Magdalena islands in quebec that has lots of wind (kite surf paradise..) i love it, only little thing i had to do is put some poles to enforce the middle part. The wind overthere avrg 20 to 30 knots and blows from every side, the to side was moving in and popped out but i made sure it stayed out. Did i put guy lines yes and i used the hooks and 12 inch spikes.. even guy line the fly. It haddle that wind like a champ, lots of other campers took their tent down ours was perfect. My gf loves glamping so the sleeping area had the coleman queen cot airbed and we had a small table and inflatable intex chair, felt like a chalet. Love it
alright, that was a pretty good plot twist.
I'm having a hard time getting the legs to fold in correctly. Is there a special way to have them fold back for storage?
I may have ad this problem too… the legs need to be fully closed and seated before the “wings”’of the table fold back down. The wings actually lock the legs in and prevent them from opening on accident. Let me know if that helps
Nice video! What yellow post number is that? Thanks
The link doesn't work Where do we go to get one?
Very informative. You gave the best presentation on this tent that I've seen and little tips as you went along with a update.😊
Nice to know! Looking at an electric one, could have used it last week in the Medicine Bow!

Good video! I have the t4 and a gazelle screen tent and its just me and my dog lol. Used the screen tent all over, I tent camp a lot from Glacier to Joshua Tree and Big Bend in Texas. Just got the T4 and used it in the Tetons, Glacier and Medicine Bow area. I have no complaints!
I know you called the camping box but a good name for it would be the bug out box because it's got everything you need if you have to leave suddenly love it good idea
A normal guy doing a great review - keep them coming
Whats the update on this product? Just ordered one today
Still running strong! I'm actually super surprised tbh. Sometimes between camp trips i keep it on (plugged into the wall) the entire time so it has been on for like a month straight multiple times. The only problem I've been having is in certain outside temperatures the foam lining in the seal/lid expands or something which causes the lid to not fully seat closed... so i usually put something heavy on tops. its not all the time though so im trouble shooting this still.
@campthropology cool I'll watch out for the issue with the lid just got it yesterday July 2nd and did a test from room temp of 78F to 32F and took exactly 15min as advertised.
Hey Man. I'm concerned about the gaps where the front door meets the floor and the corners of the sunroom where the poles meet the floor. What do you think? Are any ants or critters getting in?
Honestly that’s a concern of mine as well. I’ve used the tent a handful of times and haven’t hand anything get in. I did try to pinch the Velcro spots you’re talking about and seal the Velcro as snug as possible. If I find a better solution I’ll update
Thanks! I thought of using some velcro tape around the pole. Let me know if you try it and if it works. That’s the only thing holding me back
Laughing.... dude your a terrible tent person. Don't quit your day job!
Ain’t about the tents. It’s about getting the feeders like you to feed my algorithm. Batting 100% w you, homie.
@@campthropology I never watched the whole video no. 1 since I couldn't stop laughing at the foot print and 61 pound struggle! Plus I hit the do not recommend! Did not hit like and will never subscribe! Yet carry on!
ANOTHER LONG COMMENT?! You’re such a good feeder. Too easy! You do as you’re told, that’s great. Can we get one more or you gonna know your place and keep to your self?! 🎣
I *just* went with the T4 Overland and not the plus. I hope I have enough space as I'm disabled and space is a huge benefit for me, but I definitely would love to upgrade to a plus at some point so I can "stretch out" if you will! Love the video! I appreciate seeing you set it up. I think I could *probably* do this solo still.
T4 is also a solid option!
I think the plus will be better for you if your mobility disabled as it has a full door not just the d shaped door
Be nice to come in different colors other than blaze Orange
I agreen. I think the Overlanding version comes in like a forest greeen but its hard to find.
I'm a must have electric and flushable toilet camper.
Is it like a portable electric flushable toilet?
Awesome footage! Which YP site is this if ya don’t mind sharing 👀
The site in this vid isnt a yellow post. its at Guajome Park Campground in Oceanside Ca. kinda a city camping vibe
That a red horse chillin on the propane tank?
Yessir
OneTigris makes the 03 chair with a high back. Unfortunately, they have not updated it to the magnesium hubs like the 04 chair. I have been patiently waiting on them to release the high back chair with the new hubs. May want to ask them about that.
I saw the high back but didn’t realize that they may upgrade them to the magnesium hub! I’ll def look into that. I appreciate the info 🤙🏾
@@campthropology I emailed them last year and said coming soon 🙄 If you are working with them might be worth asking. I’m also a big guy. Best chairs I’ve found are the ARB but they take up a lot of space.
