That 283 needs torn down, parts on a bench everything cleaned up, measurements taken, parts lists made , and budget allocated...then a plan, machine work, crank turned and polished, block bored and heads redone. Jabba cant do it cant follow the process for success.😁
He won't let a machine shop do it right, he think's he can do it all in the dirt in the car and it be as good as it rolled off the showroom floor.
@@faststang85 I got a rope rear main in my Pontiac and I can't even imagine trying to change it with the engine in the car. It will never be right if Jabba tries to do it..

@faststang85 was correct! Jabba is back on the 57 and he claims he will replace the front and rear seals with the engine in the car. I must ask hasn't he done enough damage to that poor little 283 ??? He ran it many times with no oil or oil pressure.
Yup i called it, he didn't even last 24 hours and now he's on a melt down. 😂 The guy has an iq of a gold fish and that's giving him too much credit. I'm going to love to see him try and change that rope seal😂 then have it leak again. The fk could have bought like 3 running 350s by now and had it driving down the road but he's too stubborn. He will be changing main/rod bearings and seals every other week till he croaks at this rate.

Wicked stories Brian. The Monza you got the manifolds off of had a 262 in it. The 265 you got it confused with was a 1955 1956 motor.
Yes, I had one in a Monza. It had [ V8 4.3 litre] emblems on the fenders. The Chevy 4.3 is also confused with the V6 with the same displacement.
Sanford wasn't doing the whole Power Tour, he was only going to one of the stops they had that was near him. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I have run a factory HEI for years in my Pontiac with no issues. I also installed a Pertronix electronic ignition in my friends 55 Chevy and it worked great. I agree Brian, the things that matter the most to me in life have flesh and blood, not a hunk of steel out in the driveway.

I'm very fmiliar with the 79 Z28 with that 350 4 speed drivetrain. It's was geared to be fun It was a good " light to light" car as we used to say meaning red light to red light at the local main street in towm...I used to see quite a few V8 swapped Vegas and Monzas running around back in the day...Jabba has no clue the money it would take to square that 283 away properly...just the machine work he'd cringe and walk away...he doesn't have the money. It's odd he was talking about buying a 71 Plymouth Fury that actually looked road worthy...Jabba is full of dung has money one day crying broke the next...listen to that BS gets old...😁

Electronic ignition sucks...as 2 ..300 cars with Electronic ignition speed by the broken mystery machine..carry spare Electronic parts..guess thats too easy..
So that can make his point ( no pun ) that his old points and condenser are superior which is bullshit. And he didn't want to do the trip anyway , so he killed 2 birds with a stone. I watched his last live the other day and he said that any car with an MSD box fouls plugs and was installed as a band - aid . I have an MSD 6-A that I selected to work with the Mallory Unilite distributer for my 392 at the time of rebuild due to high compression and wanting to run " consumer " gasoline. The engine doesn't ping so it may be doing what it was advertised to do , and I have no desire to see what will happen if I disconnect it ( it's been there since " new " ) . Sanford ... " junk is better " !!! What an asshole .

I put a Mopar performance electronic ignition kit on my Dart and it solved alot of problems. Between my points distributor and a leaky thermoquad it would flood out. I got rid of the dual points and the TQ and never looked back.😁

I saw the title of this video , thought about it...the answer came to me pretty quick..." being able to be there for family, friends and the people I care about most" that's what makes me feel important that's what really matters...Jabba , that car needs money dumped into it can't do it cheap. Even the engine most likely needs machine work, it adds up. It's a wanna be Sanford build . Sanford would gut the interior rearing, bearing and gasket that engine and it would be a smoke machine like the Liunar 318...that's what Jabba is trying to do a Sanfordbuild...
