The only people crying about "cultural appropriation" are the people with too much time on their hands inventing new things to be mad about. She's black AND she's white. Not that that should even matter. She can wear hair however she wants regardless. Culture is meant to be shared. Since when did it become "anti-racist" to start putting people into boxes dictating what they can and cannot do because of their RACE?

Leia seems like a typical tiktok narc who thought she would become a kpop star and date some popular male idols to fuel her ego. What's funny is that most Kpop male idols wouldn't even consider seriously dating a foreigner, so once she got a hint of reality she wanted to leave. It is quite pathetic. I try not to sound racially hateful, but western women on average are more entitled, self absorbed, attention seeking, morally degraded, promiscuous and obsessed with men/dating, lazy and have poor work ethic compared to eastern women. They also cannot thrive in a group or community, as most western women are socialized to obsess over themselves and their sexual partner and ignore everyone else including their own parents. If you fact check, almost all western female groups have had clashes and didn't last, see Fifth Harmony for example. It's because their egos and self centred attitudes wont thrive in an asian group concept where everyone is more open and considerate about others and the rules. I've noticed this attitude in western fans who are always cussing "Korean people or netizens" and wanting to change K-pop culture as a whole, for instance, dating rules. The rules are there for a reason, and made k-pop the success it is today, with young people oriented towards excellence and professionalism and unwavering passion to their craft. If they were hooking up all night every night like these "fans" want them to be, K-pop would be just another mediocre industry with no exceptional outcomes, like most of these "fans" lives are...very mediocre and no depth besides who they sleep with or break up with, no personality outside of revealing clothes and clout chasing on social media. Barf 🤮

I’m not gonna argue, so if you’re into name calling or whatever I’m simply not gonna answer. I however can see both sides of the story. Monoracial black women are not “jealous” or insecure because they’re calling nvee a biracial woman. That is simply just what she is. Yes she looks black, but to simply call it “black representation” is incorrect and frankly harmful to young black girls out there. The media has a known problem with the representation black people (women specifically) get. It’s always a biracial light skinned woman. Ie; Zendaya, Stormy Reid, Manon, Amandla Stenberg. They are the face of black girl hood while not even being fully black themselves. (This is a problem.) Now, where fans are wrong is them saying she cannot wear the braids because she is biracial. She is still half black at the end of the day so she can wear them. To bring up the mixed celebrities from earlier, who all have worn protective styles as well as latto, h.e.r and Doja Cat, and no one has batted and eye towards them. Then to treat Nvee differently is weird. Trying to erase that part of her just because she isn’t monoracial is a problem. But in that breath, so is erasing the part of her that isn’t black! It is not and should not be offensive to refer to bi-racial people as such. They do it everywhere else but in the USA. I just don’t like how black women are getting the blame for something the media has been doing for decades. Or how they’re being portrayed as jealous of the pretty biracial girl. (Which is another harmful stereotype.)
