All of my houses are on PC/NA and most should be open to the public.

HALO x ESO - Beam Emitter house build
"HALO Installation 04" at Stay-Moist Mansion: 520 or so items out of 600.
This was meant to be a YT short but the beam emitter was just too chonky to fit in a 9:16 aspect ratio. I really tried.
Based specifically on Halo CE Anniversary edition, this house was originally going to be a contest entry but the last part of the house I had planned didn't end up working out. (I was dead set on building a custom Warthog out of dark elf urns and leaving it stuck in a doorway.) So this house is technically unfinished, thus the short non-walkthrough video. It is however open for visiting despite this.
The skull design was based more off Halo Infinite.
All the Halo audio was recorded from The Master Chief Collection: Halo CE Anniv - a bit of the title theme and the rest from mission 343 Guilty Spark.
Thank you for reading.
Cheers,
Mahvir

I've wanted to do something like this all year, though it wasn't until I had an accidental breakthrough while building my Halloween house did I think I might actually be able to pull it off. This concept was originally inspired by the Anime "Mushi-shi" and was based upon the 'river of light' or 'light vein' in it. Naturally I ended up defaulting to the extremes of light and dark I love so much....

Based largely on Clementine's Midtown Apartment from the video game 'STRAY'. A friend recommended STRAY to me a month or two ago and it is by far the prettiest, strangely compassionate, and most beautiful game I've played all year. Enough so that it moved me to at least try to bring pieces of it to ESO. Not an exact replica, though it did start out kinda that way. I had to change the layout and...

This house needed and deserved more time spent on it but I am not really in the cozy house building mood at the moment and just wanted to preserve the ideas I liked from an unfinished house I need to tear down. This was an impromptu house I hadn't intended on building. (I know, it happens a lot lol) The new Imperial Dais furniture from one of the Tel Var vendors in Imperial City gave me the idea to try and salvage an old 'failed' house idea of mine. The entrance of the house up to the carved rock walls (the underside of the dais) is the remnant of that old house. Beyond thrilled I managed to have the ...

I had no plans for this house. I didn't even entertain the idea of it, I was so certain it would be crown only and likely 6k plus at that. I had no plan here except to play with the pretty new autumn foliage released with Gold Road, and do some moderately aggressive terraforming. You did this in Stay Moist? Wow...just wow. I have never played Halo but the scifi feel is perfect. Well done. :D
Indeed! It very VERY barely fit haha! It wasn't my first or even second choice but I don't own basically any of the crown-only houses so it was the only one I had that fit the theme. Thank you!
@@mahvirnadas I was given two crown store only houses, bought Seabloom, and that's about it. I would love to build something on Seaveil, but no way in the wide world am I spending so much real money on a /pretend/ house that will disappear if/when eso is cancelled. Insanity.
@@acflory.writer I really wanted to put my ramen shop on the water in seaveil, it would have been so pretty! I also can't justify splurging on houses like that. I made my choice many many years ago when Earthtear was one of the only crown-only homes that I would buy that one and that was it. And it took me quite a while to save up for it! Of course then they came out with the cheaper ones like moon-sugar meadow which were easier to save up for... if you happened to catch them when they're available. I remember being so excited when Hakkvild's came out and it was purchaseable with gold if you did the dungeon achievements, I really thought they'd be adding more homes like that. I really really wish they added more homes like that.
Great video, great build!
Super cool!!
Stunning, as always!
The place looks very good and authentic. Well done!
Here's a gif showing how the pools of light are made: imgur.com/a/CW8Gm6c
Completely immersive! No pun intended. :) How on earth did you get those lighting effects???
This here gif will probably do a better job to explaining it than I can! imgur.com/a/CW8Gm6c It's my favorite furnitures again haha! The galen pool, tales of tribute tapestries and many deadlands wall spikes!
@@mahvirnadas That is brilliant! I used the deadlands wall spikes in the kitchen of my Seabloom but I would never have thought of putting it /under/ water! Thank you so much. Another fabulous tip. :)
What is this furniture? It's so shiny
If you mean the light pools this gif will show what they are better than I can explain: imgur.com/a/CW8Gm6c They're comprised of the Firesong Spring, basalt from Galen, the blank backsides of tales of tribute tapestries, and deadland's wall spikes for the color change. The largest pool is somewhere around 15 or 20 items made to look like one!
@@mahvirnadas That's so cool, very creative. I've never seen such a combination before. Thank you for sharing!
Exceptionnel ! 👍 I love stray 🐈
Oh I love all the water features! but how did you get rid of that awful tent thing in the middle? I've got to login and see this for myself. :D
All the water features are a false floor, the tent is mostly below it all!
@@mahvirnadas Below??? But it looks so high? I am now doubly impressed. You've turned a pig's ear into a silk purse. :D
This looks amazing! I’ll love the vending machine at the start - sets a great tone! Awesome work.
wow this atmosphere in this build is very nice! Love it <3
Wow, it has such atmosphere. The lighting just makes it and all the little details. I could look around forever.
Oh I love this one! Especially the retro fridge. :D And that muted green. Brilliant. :)
Amazing what you did with the house! Great touch on all details. I love it - great job!
Dude! Your mind works in amazing ways. Impressive! I'm inspired which is to say I'm stealing your ideas. lol
Holy shit 😂
what a cosy and lovely build! ♡
Thank you! You're too kind! 🧡
Oh! Such a pity about the rain. The hourglasses allow us to freeze time, but not weather. Despite that though, it is a lovely build. I'm off to visit it in person. Btw I really like the skylights. :)
I would absolutely love weather control! I am so glad the skylights worked out, they were originally windows but those doors were just way too big for the way I was trying to use them! Thank you! 🧡
@@mahvirnadas My pleasure. :D
*claps* beautiful :)
Thank you! 🧡
Cosy cosy cosy!!! Cozy?! 💖💖💖
Well, the turnout of your struggles is absolutely gorgeous and cosy! 😍
Thank you so much! 🧡
10/10 I'm really loving the canopy you've created. Do you mind sharing what blueprint is needed to create the mountains?
Thank you! The mountains are a variety of rocks from the Eastmarch homegoods vendor at Fort Amol! They're around 1k gold a piece. I don't have an exact count for how many I needed to make this but I generally end up using around 100 pieces when I do things like this.
how did u do this??? first i thought i misread the title and it was actually ayleid ruins of varlaisvea, it looks so much like real ayleid ruins
Thank you!! I spent a lot of time over the years studying various Ayleid ruins in game, trying to find furniture items that could match the shapes I saw. I always wanted to have an Ayleid house but I will probably never own Varlaisvea so I had to make do with what I have!
Beautiful!
I love it! What a good idea to use rocks to cover up the existing house and create a mountain pass. Is there anything through the trap door in the cottage?
Thank you! There is actually, I debated whether or not to include it. It was originally going to be a root cellar but while building it I got stuck down there, accepted the fact I just lived there now, and put a bed down there haha. It's not the most practical spot for a bed but it amused me so I kept it.
Oh man, you never disappoint! I could kill you for completely covering up the views, but then...o.m.g. was it worth it. -shakes head in wonder- Insanely clever. I'm going to login just so I can visit for myself. And this one is going straight to my playlist of 'houses I wish I'd built'. BTW, on pc you /can/ open doors with the UI turned off. If the console won't allow it, perhaps you could edit out the bits where the UI shows? That's what I do when the UI can't be hidden. It's a pain going frame by frame so it would be really nice if zos changed it but I'm not holding my breath. :)
hehehe I wouldn't blame you! I really do love the views in that house, but if the previous 4 or 5 houses I built there weren't focused on using the view then I probably would have hated myself more for covering it up! Thank you, you are too kind!! I never got around to choosing a decent video editor after windows killed off their old one. What I'm using now doesn't appear to have an easy way to do frame by frame stuff, if it does it at all. I can use my keyboard for doors if I must but yeah, the chat window will pop up in the corner for a second and it drives me nuts!
@@mahvirnadas I use Corel's VideoStudio for my editing. It's pretty good but not cheap. I've heard good things about Da Vinci Resolve, I think that's the name, but I haven't tried it myself. For me, I need to get a controller for the pc so I can do smoother video capture. The mouse is jerky. Ah well. :)
Wow! What a fantastic job! The village is so realistic -- my wife and I visited Italy and France a few years ago and I swear I have seen some of your amazing "views" in person! I really love the view looking down on the balcony of the building next door... with the ocean behind. Just gorgeous!
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for sharing this, what a lovely trip that must have been! I am beyond thrilled to think of a view like this out there in the world, I hope to see something like it myself in person someday. It truly means a lot to me to hear this!
Wow, that's amazing! Well done! Can't wait to edit mine one day, but thats gonna be later cause I dont have all that stuff haha
This looks amazing. Love how you used existing and built new. So unique Luv it.
So very cool. Love this.
Stunning as allways, how do you make everything so detailed with such a small furnishing cap? :o
Thank you!!! This is a tough one to answer, and probably what I personally struggle with most frequently outside the furnishing limit itself. In general I try to use the largest pieces of furniture I can to make the use-able area of a house smaller. Then I try to spread out what details I happen to have space for as evenly as I can, or in specific "areas of interest" to make the less detailed areas less noticeable. It doesn't always work out the way I hope but in general that's usually how I try to make it work! In this house specifically, I was disappointed I didn't have space to do anything fun or interesting to the curved staircase and the little balcony at the top. I feel like it needs something there, a small vendor stall or perhaps a flower cart. I may try to free up space for something like that someday! Instead I hoped my more detailed areas of the house helped people overlook it!
This is so lovely! You build so fast, with all the new stuff too :0 And great camera work; at one point I realized it was all one take! It would annoy me so bad if I messed up and crashed into something, it's take like 20 tries to get it right xD ...I use cuts now, still takes forever.
Oh my gosh thank you!!! Let me tell you- I am at the mercy of the weather SO MUCH. I can't even keep track of how many times I start filming and a beautiful sunset turns to rain. Or I'm watching the playback and realize some huge clipping error I never noticed before, or my character starts screaming because I have the wrong personality set hahaha!! When I started this I stubbornly decided I wanted to try and present videos as close to a visit as I could for the people who can't visit either due to time constraints or being on different platforms or servers. (Also I am REALLY awful at video editing) I love watching well cut and edited housing videos like yours!! I have no idea how you all do it and so well! I am actually shocked at how fast this one was too. Though it certainly helped that an Inn I'd been working on for weeks was sacrificed to make this house possible.
@@mahvirnadas Arghh the weather! I think we're all begging them for weather control now 😅😭 it's so annoying, totally changes the lighting, intended look, as well as causing eye strain. The screaming lmao 😂 Well it's beautifully done! Oh also, I learned from Kitsundark and others to film using gamepad controller, maybe you already do. It's so much smoother than mouse for some reason.
@@Moon-Reacher I do! I started using a controller recently just for recording. I couldn't believe the difference!!! I really want to know why that is. Thank you for bringing it up, more people should know it's just a much better experience!
A little village build. Love it. So well formatted.
I absolutely LOVE how you've made that glorious view the 'hero' of the visual story. I'm off to visit the village in-game. :D
Aw thank you! The view was what I loved most about the house!!
@@mahvirnadas The combination of Golden Hour, and vast ocean views cannot be beat. Definitely my favourite part. It's like a gorgeous painting.
Would love to drink a coffee in that cafe or a pint in the tavern. So cozy! Well done. :)
I always love seeing properties turned into little villages. What a great job.
Thank you! There's so many talented village builders out there that I'd much rather enjoy theirs than build my own but I'm glad I gave it a shot!
Stunning, just seriously. The details blow me away. How did you do the chopsticks?
Thank you!! I'm fairly certain the chopsticks are two Telvanni Knife, wooden! (It's been a while but I'm like 90% sure.) They were such a pain to work with hahaha! en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Telvanni_Knife,_Wooden
@@mahvirnadas ahh cool, thank you, I might have to copy that idea! I was thinking about turning Amaya Lake Lodge into something Japanesey but am in the middle of a murder mystery set at Merryvine atm. This is inspirational though, got ideas brewing now 🩷
Wow! I love the Colovian arch upside down to make the circle, so clever! ❤ and I hadn’t even got to the best bits 😅 omg the turntable, Aga and bathroom. I’ve been sticking vases into chairs to make toilets and using the fountains as sinks. Have you submitted this to the housing activities? I NEED to visit 😂
Oh my gosh thank you!! It is on home tours now! It got a slight update a while back that I hope makes it look a little nicer. But I made sure not to change the parts people loved the most about it!
Oh. This is incredibly good! I hope you don't mind but I want to copy the water area up top. Couldn't sort out what to do with it lol.
