Personally I'd have a system to hangup coats and boots,ect by the front door and garage for coming and going in bad weather. And if your trying to attract the older generation, never ever put slippery tiles in bathrooms where we're known to easily slip and break bones. And closet systems should have some space for long dresses and coats.

Ok. This is the type of house that should be built everywhere for everyone. Pretty on the eyes and perfectly suitable for todays 2 child family. Everybody especially the government WISE UP !!

There is not much wasted space. Small houses equal small bedrooms verses smaller living spaces. Very Romanist with the bathroom off the entry makes the bedrooms more privately secluded. The only change would be built-in wardrobe cabinets that include drawers for underclothing in the bedrooms.

The exterior is appealing. Having a full bath rather than a half bath at the entry is unusual, but it might prove to be convenient. The brown bathroom tile and the green kitchen backsplash are not appealing, and I wonder about having such a grand kitchen range in such a modest-sized house! The odd living room ceiling fixture is not an asset. I like the three porches and would find them useful. Fitted out to my tastes I would think this to be a functional plan.

A spacious two-bedroom place. I'd make the half bath accessed from the foyer rather than the laundry room, and I'd put a door to the secondary bedroom hallway, making that bath ensuite. As an alternative, I'd leave the common bath as-is (available to guests) and make a storage closet out of the half bath. One less toilet to clean. The kitchen needs more upper cabinets, and although the linen closet could be used as a pantry, there's wall space next to the fireplace for a tall pantry cabinet. The plan is fine as presented, but I'd tweak it to suit me.

Nice one bedroom, one bath home. The bathroom is a hike from every part of the house but it’s there.

The dark exterior helps the house to blend in with a woodsy setting. It's a good place for a single or couple, but I would made some adjustments. The woodstove needs a fireproof pad and wall protection. Although the kitchen has a large pantry cupboard, I'd move the dining table a bit to add an island for food prep space. I would redesign the bathroom area to give more convenient access from the bedroom and to move the laundry machines closer to the back door.

Love the exterior. The porches are usable space and not just decorative. And I love the fact that the brick facing continues all the way around the house, and not just as a decorative feature on the front. The layout seems very functional. My only complaint would be the open concept. I realize that I'm in the minority but I can't stand the open concept. It makes the space much less usable, especially in small spaces. Makes furniture harder to arrange, no walls to define the space. No where to place tv (especially when there's a fireplace), electrical outlets, ducting, etc...Hope someday that designers/architects/builders will start to offer options for those of us that miss the old days of cozy living rooms and family get togethers where you're not staring at the kitchen!

Lovely designs. I realize you are going for space saving but microwaves have become a kitchen staple and take up a lot of counter space. I've noticed lately that your jitchens don't have built-in microwaves. Why not? I wouldn't consider a home that doesn't have one anymore. Also, a retirement home should take into consideration handicapped accessibility. I love porches but would prefer no steps access.

Love the design. I would lower the cabinets in the kitchen (I'm vertically challenged :)), add a hanging herb garden on the larger wall space next to the vent hood, add glass to the windows, If not there already, to the screened porch for my stained glass studio, make the window in the 2nd bedroom a door to the porch and screen in that porch.

A very spacious two bedroom, two bath home with a gorgeous master suite. The kitchen, feels a little small, dining room is great and the living room also feels a little on the small size. All of the wood finishes on the interior do you lend it self to feeling like the rooms are dark, but that’s an easy fix and actually a cheaper fix to hang sheet rock on some of the interior walls. I especially like that the master bedroom is on the posterior side of the home so I could be close to the kennels at night. I am a Golden retriever dog breeder.

This is an attractive modern style. The living room and kitchen are dark! White ceilings and more/larger windows would help. But otherwise the plan seems functional.

I like the shape of this house - the angles and high ceilings. I especially like the functional layout and the entrance. I think there was a missed opportunity to have more windows with interesting shape that echo the house shape. The designer(s) went with pokey little windows that gave a dark cabin feel to the interior. Makes it hard to appreciate the vistas outside. Nice home - would live here (if I could bring some more windows along)

This two bedroom, one bath home has a very nice living area with the open concept that I am looking for. The kitchen felt a little tight and I would much prefer a table for six is the dining area. The absence of a second bathroom, even if it’s a powder room could be a problem, too.

This plan has some appeal, though the kitchen is a bit smaller than I prefer. Perhaps an island could be added for counter space, and if the house had a heat pump, the HVAC closet could be used for pantry purposes. The master (second) bedroom appears to have provision for barn doors, but without the doors. I'd have white ceilings to brighten the rooms.

I really like this. I'm not a fan of having to go through the kitchen to get to the laundry room. Other than that, I like it a lot.

Definitely needs a pantry. The tile in the laundry and bathrooms is too much, hurts my eyes. Loved the gray color on the walls, it's a lovely neutral shade. I also love that the kitchen cabinets go all the way up. BBQ and dining table should be on the back porch close to the kitchen. That would leave room for some rockers and maybe a swing on the front porch.

You get my vote for having common sense entry storage alone. Nice home - would live here.

I think too much space is wasted, I would prefer sitting/ dining room and a separate kitchen, there’s not many doors to prevent fire from spreading

Definitely can see myself in this house! I like the layout and the carport. Id save money for further down the road on installing an inground pool. As well as adding French doors possibly back of the house. And add another deck out back and maybe have it wrap around a corner some. 🙂 Great job good people!! 🍻🤙

The exterior is attractive with its Craftsman-like pillars, and the entry foyer is excellent. Instead of a fireplace, I'd have some combination of TV, windows and bookcases. The kitchen has good counter and storage, though I'd prefer solid doors on my cabinets. (For short-term rental, however, the windowed cabinets allow the tenants to see where things are.) There's a pantry closet next to the laundry room, and there's space in the laundry for general storage (mops and booms, etc.). I'd have a heat pump and on-demand hot water, so HVAC space isn't needed. If gas is available, a combination boiler for both heat and hot water can masquerade as an upper or lower kitchen cabinet, with a water storage tank tucked into a corner of the laundry room. This is an excellent plan with options.

Two sided fireplace is pretty but not practical. I would stick to one sided fireplace with gas.

With the curvature of the living room, this home is not a full 1600 ft.² of living space. The curvature makes it a more expensive build. I would probably square that living room out and make a small foyer with a coat closet. I like the floorplan and I like the home. Not really fond of the division between the dining room and the living room and I would probably remove part of that wall up to the storage areas. That way a table could be placed that seats six and perhaps two or three on the island. When you walk into this home you’re walking right into the living room. I love the rear porch for barbecuing and there is room for a table with chairs under roof. Overall, this is a nice two bedroom, two bath home. Interestingly, I am living in a three bedroom, two bath home with an open concept that is 1450 ft.²
