I enjoyed watching your video..I totally appreciate the value of real estate agents, however I do feel that the commission structure should be tiered to the market value of a home. I'm glad you mentioned the commissions are negotiable because in my area..Midland, Ontario, Canada...the typical rate is 5% (2.5% each) plus hst. On a $1.5 M home that's $84,750 to shell out. I'm not comfortable with that and are leaning towards hiring Purplebricks and paying the $3,600 option to offer the full in house representation. I'm also looking forward to holding my own open houses (every weekend) , spending some good money on a professional photographer, brochures and drone shots. I will be interviewing a bunch of agents to see what type of value add they can bring to the table. If it doesn't work out with purplebricks , I'll have a backup plan. I do value the work of agents, but have been led down the garden path where a few have promised the moon, got the listing and let MLS do the work. Quite frankly, if they don't produce...they're gone.

Right on I'm a residential contractor so I'm classified as essential but like you said we need to all stay in doors for 14 days at the same time to make any kind of a difference

I have tweeted the twits that think this list is anything but a joke. I don't expect a response but maybe more Ontarians need to tweet the twit.

I also think the list is a joke and agree everything should be shut down except "really essential business" i work for lumber and hardware store and considered "essential business" not hardly.

OMG!!! the basement is so spacious i could use for many things since i haven't started on having a family of my own, the house looks typical from the outside but beats the modern day feel of a luxuries setup, love the painting on the walls, its just perfect!!
