Fall Apple Cinnamon Bread - Must Make Fall Baking Recipe
This Apple Cinnamon Quick Bread ushers in all the feels of fall baking. You can customize it or make it as is. Here's the recipe:
2 C AP Flour
1.5 t Baking Powder
1 t salt
.5 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
.5 t ground ginger
2/3 C Sugar
1/3 C Brown Sugar
2 C grated Granny Smith Apples
1 C Buttermilk
1.5 T Vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 F, Butter and line a loaf pan with parchment.
Mix the first 6 ingredients and set aside. Mix the remaining ingredients and stir in the dry ingredients just until combined.
Bake until a toothpick comes out clean. Metal pans 35-42 min. Glass pans 40-50 min. I suggest lowering oven temp by 15 degrees when baking longer in glass pans.
Let baked bread rest 10 min before removing from pan to avoid breaking. Let cool on rack before cutting.
Enjoy!

Just found your channel and I love your style! I love that you included the part about losing your whisk. That's me, for sure! 🙂
So happy you found our channel! ( I can lose just about anything 😂) We appreciate you watching and commenting.
Did I miss the temp (oven)? Loved it, regardless.
I might not have said it, but 325 F is what I baked it at. The full recipe is in the description if you click ”more” under the video. Thank you very much for watching and for your question. We appreciate it!
@@paulandbenny great, thanks for getting back so quickly. Will definitely make them tomorrow. The coconut meat that’s got me. Oh,one more thing, why is rice syrup and not honey, what’s the difference? Well. Unless it’s because we can’t have heated honey!
@@LinhHa-sd4zf I wondered the same thing. I read in several places that honey would not work for some reason, but I'm not convinced 😉. Next time I'm going to try it with honey.
@@paulandbenny yeah, I agreed, however, I have read (somewhere) that you can’t cook or bake w honey because honey and heat can’t mingle lol. I am thinking, maybe right after moving them out to the counter, I should drizzle some on and let it sitting out a while to settle. That’s said, I am going to try to bake it today, since the wind 💨 is hounding, so no tennis for me. Pls let me know from your end when you’re done with yours and whatever means. God bless.
Tea time ❤😊
Yes ma’am ! So excited 😃

Can I use coconut oil to substitute the olive oil?
@@gloriaonken6069 Absolutely. Or you can leave it out all together and use an extra tablespoon of butter. I just like to add something that stays liquid at room temperature in case I refrigerate it, but it's not necessary. Thank you for watching😊
Great video! I’m currently making an orange flavor cookie with ganache filling. Now I want to make double chocolate next! ❤ yumm
Orange with ganache sounds awesome! How did they turn out? Thank you for watching😀
Did you toast your pecans first or just added them to the syrup?
Great question! I would normally suggest toasting the pecans for a recipe, but they get toasty floating in the pie, so I just added them to the syrup. Thank you for watching 😃
@@paulandbenny thank you for answering😄
My pleasure!
Breaker is my fave its pretty cool, " Hey is Breaker here?" yeah it works
I am a fan of buttermilk in baking. Makes me want to bake a good ole chocolate cake like my mama used to make and have a glass of milk with it.
@@hershbergersmiraclehomeste6885 Yum!!😃
I heard it was good. Only have tried the honey bun flavor.
How was the honey bun? It sounds good!
@@paulandbenny it's a little different, but good
Oh my goodness. Those look amazing
They were! The cookie wasn't. 3 out of 4 isn't bad😉
Great
Thank you and thank you for watching!
Drink buttermilk ! good fot you !
Yes 👍 I love to drink it! Or sometimes eat it with left over cornbread like cereal.
Buttermilk is a must have in southern cookin'! My grandma called regular milk "sweet milk" and buttermilk was "sour milk". She would eat a bowl of cornbread and buttermilk like it was cereal. 😂 I could never do that. I use buttermilk in everything from biscuits to fried chicken.
Yes! My grandma used to eat that with a stick onion on the side. I definitely wasn’t into it. Now that I’m older, I love it!😆
Good Morning, Miss your videos and thank you for this one. I love Buttermilk for baking and in a pinch my mother in law always said to use vinegar in milk to help you if you don't have any in the house. It's not the same but it works. Enjoy the beautiful day. I love biscuit and gravy.. lol Stephanie with Heavenly Homesteaders
Yeah, it gets the job done in baked goods but I love the taste of buttermilk. Even a glass of it by itself, but I know most people would not enjoy that LOL Thank you so much for watching!

In my area with humidity I had to an extra cup of flour to make up for the moisture, but it worked. Now I know to use way less buttermilk. They came out fine, but they had to bake an extra 10 minutes too. Adjusted just right. Thank goodness I had some extra knowledge and skills lol
That’s good to take into consideration! Where are you located? Thank you for watching and sharing 👍
@@paulandbenny I’m in Hesperia California. Above San Bernardino. In a place they call the High Desert. Just below the Big Bear Mountains. For Fred who blocked my ability to reply. Well, Fred ma’am. If you had read my post you would have noticed I did try the original recipe and it almost didn’t word due to the humidity we were having. Of course biscuit girl tried to tell me we didn’t have humidity here. What a re tard lol. I hurt her feelings because I made suggestions she didn’t think of. Girls are funny that way. Well you know what ai mean. But because I had real ability I was able to fix it and rescue the disaster that is her recipe. Thanks though sister assumption for assuming I didn’t try the original recipe, which by the way IS NOT BETTER THAN BLUEBERRY MUFFINS. You go girl!
Ma'am, these biscuits are DELICIOUS. Whatever skills you have, but you should try the original recipe first. Sooo good.
@@fredowner1617 okay Ma’am. First off sister assumption I did try the biscuit recipe. It didn’t work because of the humidity, which biscuit dude tried to tell me I didn’t have humidity where I live lol. What a re tard. But having actual ability I fixed them on the fly and they worked. If you had read it Ma’ma you would have known. Are you his mommy? Sticking up for biscuit dude? LOL
Cold butter DOES MATTER, but home cooks can do what they please. Also, since your using buttermilk you can reduce the baking powder to 1 tsp. And add 1 tsp. baking soda. The reason is that baking powder can, and usually does, give off a bitter taste, especially those with aluminum in them. The acid in buttermilk reacts with the baking soda. If you don’t have buttermilk just add 1 tsp white vinegar to 1 cup of whole milk. Stir, let sit 2-10 minutes and you have soured milk which can replace the buttermilk and still do the same job with the baking powder.
All cooks can do what they please 😂 Vinegar in milk does not taste like buttermilk. Let’s stop that internet hack in its tracks. Yogurt or sour cream is a good substitute for buttermilk. Hopefully no one is using the baking soda with aluminum. It’s not necessary in 2024 and the possible health risks aren’t worth it. Happy baking and thank you for watching!
@@paulandbenny no but the difference isn’t that much bigger. It’s not an internet hackZ it’s taught in culinary schools to sour milk, but people are allowed to believe what they like. Again, the flavor difference isn’t that much. It’s not like it’s ranch dressing.
@@paulandbenny baking soda doesn’t have aluminum, but most baking powders do. Banking soda IS one of the healthiest things for people, but baking powder not so much. Sorry if my different opinion and training upset you.
@@OrangeMonkey2112 I meant powder not soda. That was a typo. You knew that though because soda doesn't have aluminum in it. It's sodium. I'm not upset. You're 'correction' is not correct though. You don't live in a humid climate, you live in a high elevation. Just because something is taught at a school doesn't make it great. Vinegar in milk is a horrible substitution that works in a worst case scenario only because it's acid, but the internet has made it popular. Why not use grapefruit juice? Because it doesn't taste like buttermilk which is delicious in baked goods besides adding acid. Finally, we don't add soda because it helps dough spread and rise. We only want our biscuits to rise. They aren't bitter at all . It seems you only add faux correction to many videos. That sounds more like arrogance than expertise,
@@paulandbenny I think it is funny you say your not upset, but it’s obvious you are. As for telling me about where I live I think that’s pretty prideful and arrogant of you to assume I don’t know what I’m talking about, since I actually live here. It gets very humid now. Back in the late 70’s it was dryer, but not anymore. Thanks for the laugh. The great thing about schools IS the professionals who teach there, I’m sure you are way smarter than them of course. At least it seems you think you are. But anyway, the Art Institute is a fine establishment and has produced some great chefs. I only have 20 years in the food service industry with 9 years in food management. In 36 states, but I’m sure there IS NO WAY I could know anything you don’t, but with all the blueberries and sugar Buttermilk DOES NOT MATTER. And more importantly is that for families on a strict budget that don’t use buttermilk that often it would be a terrible waste of money for them. Maybe they don’t matter to someone who knows so very much, but for many others that’s an important reason to use that technique. Again, I’m sorry I hurt your feelings. I don’t want you to have a mental break down or anything like that. I hope you can have some nice Chamomile tea or a nice hot bath to sooth your nerves. I will be watching out for more of your “recipes” in the future. Just in case your wrong again, which is highly unlikely. As for your closing statement I do at least believe you ARE well versed in arrogance 😉 Reminds me of some of these gay people around here lol. Their all nice until you disagree with them. Poor things Have a super swell day there guy!
