  • This fruit salad recipe is bananas. This is our first time making it. It’s very different, and it’s super easy. But will we like it?🤷‍♂️
We got the idea for it from Tom and Melissa ‪@comesitatmytable9044‬ . They share awesome recipes every week. This one had us intrigued.
Here’s the link to their channel: / @comesitatmytable9044
    Here’s what you need:
    3 Bananas
    2 T Mayonnaise
    2 T Sugar
    2 T Apple Cider Vinegar

I've seen a recipe that is similar to this one pop up in some of my vintage cookbooks! From my understanding it is a Southern thing? But yes, you hit the nail on the head - the dressing recipe is pretty much how I'd make a basic coleslaw. 😂I made a Peanut-Mallow dressing for a video way way back that had mayonnaise in it, but it also had a LOT of other sweet ingredients in it that masked the mayo. I applaud your bravery for trying!

Yes, I think this one is from Kentucky. No vinegar should be in this. 😆 is peanut - mallow like peanut butter and marshmallow cream? That would be way better on bananas. Thank you so much for watching🙂 I still want to make the smores bars you made on your channel.

@@paulandbenny if I'm remembering correctly, the peanut mallow dressing is peanut butter, marshmallow cream, orange juice, and mayonnaise.

@@paulandbenny It was just ok! Not bad, but also not something I'm enthusiastic about making again. 😄

Thank you for watching! I've been trying to think of a way to make it more palatable to me. Maybe hold the vinegar and add some crunch like walnuts or pecans. But bananas are pretty good all by themselves.

My grandma used to add vinegar to everything. I never liked banana salad. I don't like any type of fruit salad though. I love bananas. Brave of you to try it! ❤

Steve always liked the banana cream blizzard at DQ. (Back when we ate sugar) He always said it is basically a fruit salad. 😂

Thanks for trying this for us, I will gladly trust you opinion on this one. This reminds me of a banana soup we make, that is milk, sugar, bananas - this part is good but the complete recipe is bread with it yet. I do not like soggy bread so I let bread out of mine.

I've never had banana soup, but bread in it sounds much better than vinegar😆 Milk and sugar with the bananas sounds good though- reminds me of bananas in my corn flakes.

Love this honest video, it was fun and made me laugh. That mayo and vinegar together doesn't sound good at all. I am Cajun and we have banana recipes but never heard of this one, now banana pudding, oh yes!!

Ok, it wasn't just me being a Yankee, then! I didn't want to offend my southern friends and family. Thank you, Brad!

Gross, I thought you wouldve seen that a mile away. The recipe alone was making me gag. On principal, I was ready to turn off the video because I knew it wasn't ending well. You could've made banana creme pie, banana pudding, or banana splits, but you just made bananas nasty, lol😂

I know, it didn't sound good at all but he was saying how good it was. I watched him eat it on his video so I thought I'd try. Plus I watch him every day and most of his food looks really good. Not this time. 🙄
