GET FIT FRIDAY Reset My Fitness Goal! More Walking! #parkinson #exercisemotivation
In this video, I reset my fitness goal: Walk 10,000 steps per day (again), after a bit of a slowdown (due to my shiny new toy, an adult tricycle). It turns out, walking is the key to my weight loss. While I still love and plan to continue riding my tricycle, I need to make walking, especially walking outside, my main focus. And just between my Parkinson's buddies and me, walking a lot helps my digestion and prevents constipation. I felt better the very first night I walked 10,000 steps. Whew! What a relief!

How wonderful to see. I could suggest doing your strength work before cardio. Explosive power like strength training can be impacted by exhaustion cardio, whereas the opposite, well cardio is endurance training. It's quite alright to do that a tad tired. For strength warm ups all you need are a pair of easy warm up sets at half to 80% of the max weight. You don't need to break a sweat with a warm up.

It probably feels impossible, but give yourself a good 1-3 minutes after set 2, and go for a 3rd set. Doesn’t matter if you only do 6 reps, that failure point will push your body to be stronger faster.
