Why lol, it's litteraly just plastic on a halter, and it actually is entirely for the horses well being, it's so a horse can go out on pasture for longer (more turn out, the happier and healthier the horse) and helps them eat slower and controls the amount they eat It also keeps the pastures nice so they always have fresh grass

@@Saltyanddone they can bloat, they can get grass belly, if a pig can bloat and humans can bloat a horse can bloat. But either way I don't see no point in arguing and the way I see it we both can agree on one thing, there is no abuse in the video and eating muzzles help the horses

It's actually very common, helps prevent overheating and will prevent bloating, horses can eat to much and bloating which is very deadly.

Well it actually allows longer turnout which is more natural and healthier for the horse, for some horses if they are on grass for too long they founder (which is very dangerous and the most common killer for horses)

Do you know how smells work? Like itty bitty bits of the item becomes airborne and gets taken into the nostrils. Is the horse breathing? I guess it must be seeing as its not dead, therefore its also able to smell

It slows down how quickly they can eat hay. So they don't overstuff themselves or steal hay from the other horses by eating too fast.

Horses aren’t human, you can’t explain why something is bad to them like you would to kids. These muzzles can be very helpful for horses with certain habits or conditions. I knew a horse who had asthma and a huge food drive and stuffed itself with food too fast, which triggered its condition. It would’ve benefited a lot from this. Please do research.

Ah yes, see how this horse is completely scared? This horse, wearing probably $100-200 worth of good looking tack with healthy looking fur and mane, is obviously terrified for its life and in bad condition. Source? Rode 1 lesson 12 years ago and got a compliment from the girl doing a summer-job leading kids around on horses. (Which obviously equals absolute expert knowledge)

I’m not sure you understand how dangerous it is for horses to founder (eat too much.) It can sometimes cause long lasting chronic ailments even if they lose the weight, and in some cases it can be deadly.

It would be cruel to just let the horse overeat on hay or grass. Grazing muzzles improve horses health

This is needed for some horses since just like humans they have diseases and conditions that act up when they over eat or they can just get severely over weight which is especially hard on animals like horses

Except modern horses haven’t existed since the beginning of time. They were created by us and don’t appear naturally in the wild. Over grazing can cause gut problems and kill a horse.

@@BrennaDraws Incorrect. Horses are meant to graze all day. The content of their diet causes founder. Most commonly by stupid humans feeding them hot foods they don't need and less commonly from fresh green grasses not native to the horse breeds place of origin.

If my horse is let on high grass for more than an hour, we can basically already call the vet because he has an insanely sensitive stomach and needs food in moderation. But you can't just stop giving horses food because they can't have breaks from eating for longer than 4h. So they need to constantly eat but can't have too much, making this device great and proving that you have no idea of horses. Riding lessons on old ponies doesn't make you an expert.

@@danielamclea8339 they can still bite with the muzzle if they really want to. Had a horse that always placed the flat muzzle piece onto the other horse, pressed and grabbed their skin 💀

No it’s a grazing muzzle.. keeps them from eating too much. Plus if a horse wanted to bite that flimsy plastic wouldn’t do much.

Not even close. These cause all sorts of issues in horses. Teeth wear, neurosis, and ulcers for a start.

No, horses need to be continuously eating for gut health, but some horses are easy keepers and can founder. These are NOT to be used as enrichment toys.

It's more like the slow feed bowls not really an enriching experience but just to slow eating if understanding correctly.

dude, @mtngrl88, horses need to be constantly eating yes, BUT IN SMALL AMOUNTS. they’re supposed to be eating constantly in SMALL AMOUNTS. so grazing muzzles like this are 100% absolutely find and YES CAN BE USED AS ENRICHMENT TOYS.

Thank you! I did find with my set, the LED light on my receiver would not come on unless I had a recording app open. I didn't notice any affect on the transmitters, but perhaps that might be another thing to check? Other than that, it might be time to reach out to the manufacturer.

It's not really easy to just separate horses during feeding ngl. It takes a lot of time to get them both the same amount plus she said she doesn't want her horse to over eat -_-

If it works for them then so it be. Not everyone has the same schedule as everyone else. Everyone owns and handles their animals differently. Every horse is completely different. If the horse is happy, healthy (most importantly) then so be it. This is to keep the horse healthy. It's not hurting the horse. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So many people now days clutching pearls thinking their way is the best way.

@@none_ya001 fr and it takes more time separating horses cus you gotta feed them the same amount. I mean yeah sometimes you have to separate certain horses who might need certain feed or a certain amount. Plus putting a grazing muzzle on a horse and having them being uncomfortable is better then them over eating and dying
