I have the same issue with my 08 gmc I had a leak of power steering fluid and my wires most likely are damaged just like yours. But how did u fix it?

Just bought an 08 Chevy Impala LS 3.5L two days ago. It was in a no start condition and a bunch of codes for low voltage, open circuit and also the P0641 code you have. Owner said he replaced the power steering pump, then after watching this video started to suspect the same issue on this car. Sure as hell once I removed the power steering pump the wiring harness going to my camshaft positioning sensor was eaten through and the sensor was broken too. Thanks for this video it saved my quite the fortune.

Just fixed one with the wires rub through in the exact same spot took the intake off and wrapped it up good

thanks im having the same issue on my 07 impala exact promblem 11 23 2022 ill be pulling my pump bk out i was also getting volt refrence 1 circuit status fault. all the same related issue.

i just cleaned them up and covered the exposed wires with electrical tape
