Lanier Custom Boats 113mph 450R on a 20ft Fiberglass FISHING Catamaran
มุมมอง 7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
113mph pass in an fiberglass, fishing deck LCB with a stock Mercury Racing 450R... There is no 20ft boat that can hold speed with an LCB. The confidence to know that an unexpected chop or wake won't cause any porpoising or hooking, means you don't have to let off the throttle where others do. We have tested every scenario, so that you don't have to. A bass boat, that you can win a poker run in....

I kept waiting for rough water.
Impressed how it handled the wake. Super smooth ride.
Camera boat for sure shut the door and did not keep out wide on the second turn.
Insane
Allison fully rigged can out run that POS
Do you have another mindless comment to make?
Where’s the trolling motor?
How bout NO
Heart racing just Watchung. Can't wait to get my hands on one.
Wonder how they would run if there wasn't a watermelon sized gearcase to drag through the water.
Going fast is cool but the river is used by people in canoes and real small vessels you shouldn’t be going 100 man. That said the bridge is a good fishing spot and you can camp along the river for free.
They use that river every day. These runs are twice a year. They know when we are coming.
Says the guy that races his street bike through traffic. Hahahahaha
Canoes are made for creeks!
My 20ft Bullet bass boat does 84 with my Mercury 225 sports XS, I could legally put a 450R on it, this 450 is double my HP 😂 my boats unlimited HP, they never thought they would make a 450hp outboard in 2010, yea I know they make a 600 too! My boats way lighter than this cat, it would to 125 with this monster motor!
Good luck with the walk…and our bullet did 92 with a 225x and 108 with 300x…you wouldn’t want more than the 350r on your hull for good reasons
Mid takes a beating in the tunnel
Nice. I'm getting vibes of the 90s Shadow 200VT Bass Boat. It would hit 100+ with a 300HP.
boring, one camera shot, no RPM, no MPH...what a thrill!
Yes, also, how many engines and we can't see what the boat looks like, length ? Like you say, boring.
Probably cruising 70 I'd say 90 most of the time. I think this one had 450r.
What was that
U see y Americans r all Fucked up Mentally n Full of Anxieties....everything is a Competition....To be the Fasted. The Most Expensive..The Best....and every 1 is Unhappy n Miserable in real life...
absolutely wild video
Is this wide open 68-69? Was interested in doing similar build, but if that was all she had then I may need to reconsider setup.
Can this boat go out in the sea? Up to what wave height?
Yes! It can run through 4-5 footers if they're closer together than 20ft apart and you know how to drive it. It's still a 20ft boat. Through choppy water nothing at 20ft will keep up with it.
What 360 camera? Really cool.
I'd rather have a 2.5 300 Drag that weighs 375 lbs.
Why? Just to be difficult or for a reason? The 450R would Eat a 300 Drag all Day long, and last longer, turn better, resale ,looks and sound, only reason is well I’m Not sure? Not being a D just asking
@@BMWorner Weight kills boats. Have you seen what a 450R weighs and costs? Plus it is easy to get 400 plus out of a 2.5 Drag or a 300 Xs. I have 2 300s on my 26 Cat that cost 2/3 of 1 450 R. And most offshore racers are running 300Xs. I have 450 hours on my 300s. Zero maintainance except gear oil changes. 400 HP for minimal cost. th-cam.com/video/MrZ7gY0_k3A/w-d-xo.html
@@BMWorner lost all credibility with “and sound”
Stupid fishing boat doesn’t need a 450
cut the stupid music. ridiculous
You must be Super fun at parties
As fast as my SHO jet ski. 68mph is all you got? pretty disappointing for that much money
awesome
110
too quiet, let them sing a little bit🤷♂️
So what is the top speed?
330-420 speed
5 blade CNC........ get one... theres another 6 or more ...
dang that 5.44 case tried blowing out 3x .... SPORTY MAN SPORTY!!!! LOL
That's a lot of speed for a fatty case ... I have HD on mine but she only does 56mph lol
Красавец двыгатель
Is there a full walkthrough of this setup?
That is an oddly satisfying video. I could watch that for hours...!
Mercury is making some great engines.
The reflection of the sky on that motor is incredible! Would make a cool wrap.
SHIT the cabin is on fire. Very nice video
Definitely looks like a structure fire in the background
Rough water? shit that's flat compare to 18 inch waves. still another wasted 4 minutes.
i like the video very much. stop being a damn troll.
Biggest waste of a video, in years, nothing but the ass of the boat & water. What the hell does the boat look like going across the lake?
Can’t see it fucking time travelling in this beast
Yeah baby!
Find the trim button...lol
He’s way over propped so he has to keep it out of the water.
Damn that's awesome. Where can we see this boat ?
Thank you! www.LanierCustomBoats.com
We’re just not gonna mention the tornado in the background
Looks like a fire on land.
Their will be 500hp Mercury outboard soon! I guarantee it!

already is..... its a SEAPRO v12

Faster than a SCB?
Yes. Especially in rough water.
@@LanierCustomBoats eric simmons made a boat 3 feet larger and faster at 107 mph
@@trentongarces1500 we've gone much faster than that in much bigger water. Ask Eric who he called when he was designing his boat...it's a great one, it's just different, meant for flatter water, you have to be a bit more careful with wakes and chop at those speeds than you do with an LCB.
I just stumbled across this and find it comical. ANY shallow sponson cat can become a kite at those speeds. There is physically no way to make a 20ft pickle fork ride better than a 23 or 25 of the same design theory. Yes, Eric builds boats to carry a shallower draft and holeshot but let’s get real, it still takes an efficient hull to get to 100+.
Damn, how fast did u go?
100 plus
Good racing . Love the 360. Felt like I was there. At 1:36 P5 had no good options nice driving getting through that tight spot and still holding position ballsy getting through all huffed out like that. Crash ... STR went to turn off to the outside. That screwed Wicked who had to push wide to avoid going over top STR. Shauns a pro not sure what they were thinking. But I've been there adrenalin, loss of situational awareness and you forget how fast competition is closing as you slow. Phase 5 cuts to inside and smelled blood ..unfortunately over drove the turn packing a little too much air for wheel man to to pin it and bite(they had been aired out pretty far for the first laps). Wicked had the best racing line and was no doubt going to hold them tight. P5 should have anticipated that. If you watch Phase 5 doesn't get the bite from the input that the driver is no doubt giving it. If P5 T man eased out a hair and nipped her trim in would have been a great move. in the end wicked had the acceleration out of the turns to mid range to hold track position and carryed speed through that turn where P5 would have scrubbed so P5 would have had to fight hard if they were even able to get close. P5 was turning good but all over the course searching for a line (scrubbing speed and seconds). Tough on that track . Good racing . Thanks for posting Glad all ok . Now the hard part. Paying for it all.
# 11 failed to stay in lane and choked off advancing # 28. # 28 was doing just fine in the turn. No reason to assume it would not have held it's lane had it not been infringed upon. #11 crossed many lanes to dive into turn after previously going wide to navigate slower boat. I understand #11 was willing to gamble that #28 would relinquish it's rightful inside position. But it was wrong. #28 probably continued to advance and pass because it didn't realize the extent to which #11 was going to cut it off. Or it's possible #11 wasn't even aware that #28 was there after #11 lost position while making the indecisive pass of the stricken boat. Either way # 11 is at fault. #11 invited the event, #28 failed to take the last clear chance to avoid the event. #11 hit #28. Blame falls on #11. My question is, why was the race not frozen and #28 awarded the win?
Your analysis ignores the angle of that turn. 28 had zero chance of hitting that apex at that speed even if 11 wasn't even there. They were too hot on the throttles going for an inside overtake. Had they just held back, and finished second behind 11, they would have still won the worlds overall, but because the throttleman failed to show restraint he lost the team the title, flipped the boat, and nearly killed his driver, and the crew of the 11 in the process. We've seen too many dead racers. These rules exist for safety. If the 28 had slowed down he would have had 5 lanes of space to negotiate the turn. Every person close to the crash with the exception of the 28 crew who saw it in person has said the 28 crossed 5 lanes and hit 11 after failing to take the proper angle to negotiate the turn at their speed. The video speaks for itself, and the rules failing to be enforced only discourages new team's, and leads to existing ones getting sick of it. It's not worth anyone dying over a trophy. That was the time for the 28 to back off, hold their line and collect their world title. I'm sure they will make the right decision in the future and save themselves the repair costs, but 11 deserved the win on the day after STR broke. 11 had been well ahead of 28 all race, and wouldn't have had to slow down if STR hadn't gotten in their way, granted STR had zero visibility, which would have given 28 no chance to pass anyway. In the end the trophies don't matter. It's safety. Racing to win, but not all all cost. This was a bad decision by the 28 crew, and let's be thankful it didn't hurt anyone more than their ego and wallet. But it will happen again and again if it goes unacknowledged.
@@LanierCustomBoats I totally understand what you are saying. And I would agree if #11 had maintained it's lane around pin 2 and not changed it's line hard @ 0:27 and dove into pin 2. There is no indication that #28 was not holding it's line. And it had successfully used that line and hooking pin 2 all day long. Same speed as pin 1. No reason to assume it could not do so and make pin 2 on line if not interfered with. I do believe the pressure decompression escaping from #11 @ 0:30 had an effect on #28. Or the hit might not have been as hard. Only #28 can tell us if he was being stubborn, or had no time to react to the cut. But I doubt he expected #11 to cut across his inside lane to start an early straightaway run. I myself think it took the two of them to accomplish the very expensive but injury free event. The #28 could have backed off the gas and gone inside the pin. But they're gonna race and they're gonna race hard. At least it was a roll and not a flip or stuff. It's happened before and like you said it will happen again. Many times.
Top speed?
I have drive through rougher water with 18 ft tiller. I only wish I could find a way to get a 175 hp plus tiller my rig. Then we could show you what speed really is. I have driven a 27 ft tri- pontoon boat with twin 350 mercury racing engine, that was fun.
Wow, that hull punches way above its size.
