thanks a lot
thanks for these video. do you provide any sharing for troubleshoot?

Thanks bro.
I changed lots of RO membranes but never with a hat.
Thank you
is it safety hat ??? LOL ....
How long I need to change the resin ? 3 day ? 3 weeks ? 3 months 3 years ?
Ideally, never. However, most water softeners say that they have a life span of about 30 years, and this is mostly limited because of the resin. As long as you take proper care of your softener, you shouldn't really need to replace your resin and it can outlast more than 30 years. Taking care of it includes things like making sure it always is full of salt and that it doesn't completely run out. Make sure you wash your system every 4 months or so, and don't have a lot of iron or other solids enter Your system (you can do this by installing a water filter before your softener). However, if your softener has been mistreated and/or is older, it may be a good idea to check the quality of the resin. If it is not good, then you'll likely need to replace it.
fuck your music. junk company

This is the best explanation video so far, but even there is hard to catch how water enters permeate tube
There is a slit in the permeate tube and it travels through that.
it is like a bag, a pouch. clean water diffuses into pouch and exits from the tube.
@@erdem-- a bag filter only has one inlet and one outlet. A RO Membrane has one inlet and (2) Outlets - 1 concentrate (waste) and 1 permeate (RO Water)
@@nateolszak1078 RO filte is shaped like a bag. The water diffuses into the bag. thereby It has 2 outputs. If the water did diffuse out of the bag, it would be a 1 output filter.
1-2 years is complete bs . I’ve got water that has a tds of 389 . After 5 years it’s still producing water below 20 ppm at good flow rate
Actually that's not good compared to ro manufacture specifications. You should be closer to 3 to maybe 7 tds. So unless your that range you may not be. It also depends on pretreatment and how hard you run your ro. I also mention that in the video.
I have an RO system that is not producing enough flow on the concentrate side, 1 month after changing the membranes. What could be the problem?
Could be pre treatment
That has to be the most ridiculous tool ive ever seen
It works and we have removed thousands of membranes out. When your dealing with 6 long or 7 long housings and have 20+ housings to do it makes life alot easier.
Hello sir, your insightful videos are a great resource.thank you We recently did a cip on our Ro but the membranes are not giving all water as product and no reject water.in short not working at all. We used caustic soda and citric acid for cip. What could have gone wrong. Iam Jamwel from malindi kenya. Appreciate alot
Good Evening, there could be multiple reasons. Everything from mechanical, to waiting to long to clean, to no using the right cleaners. I would visually inspect the flow meters and make sure they are operating correctly and valves are functioning properly. Then remove the end caps to identify what kind of scale or bio you might have. We have seen customers scale the membranes to the point where no flow was registering. If this happens then you will need to determine what the cause was or is. Example antiscalant was not working or softener failed. Etc.
Validation Engineer, CQV clean utilities projects. Pretty cool seeing the inside disassembled, really adds to the P&ID.
Thank you for the feed back - much appreciated.
Can tell me how can decide the flow while doing cip??
Depends on membranes, how many, the machine size, the chemicals your using and what your trying to clean. My recommendation is to look at the membrane manufacture data sheet along with the cleaners your using.
@@nateolszak1078 my plant unit have 181 vessels and each vessel have 7 membranes
Hello i hope you are well, can you give me the names of the constituent element of CEDI please

we personally do not, we typically send to factory.
Hello! What are the lifespans of the membranes showcased when used for sea water desalination?
I want contact with you by WhatsApp
Please send me a cowboy hard hat !
Thanks Nathan, we've got a commercial system with qty 12 4"x40" membranes (3:2:2:2:1:1:1 array) that were just replaced less than a month ago but are already seeing significant flux loss and pressure drop (210 psi down to 75 psi, currently flowing ~11gpm permeate, 7 gpm concentrate after acid cleaning). Visual inspection doesn't show obvious significant debris or biomass in membrane feed spacer. Can hardness scaling cause pressure drop as well?
There are a lot of items that can cause DP and Flow issues. Organic, Bio, Scale, Silt, Temp. You may not necessarily see it when opening up the end cap. You may see it when cleaning the membrane. Using a good cleaner is a good start but also making sure the pre-treatment is proper can help.
@@nateolszak1078 thank you! Antiscalant dosing was verified to be appropriate, but the carbon tanks are not sending a shutdown signal so RO may be running during a backwash. Prefilter looks good however, and usually this gets clogged up when I've seen this issue on other systems
@jonezy6056 Water analysis, including PSA and SDI, may help you identify the issue or at least start narrowing down. Could also run into issues if the RO sits for long periods with out use.
Great video. Thanks for the information. Can we service EDI ?
EDI Systems can be services, typical services may include, stack replacement, factory rebuilds, cleaning and sanitizing
After changing the Membranes and pre filter on the E4 just as before I have very low output on water first I had 2gpm, after filter change it went to 3gpm but 2 weeks later it's down to 1 gpm We bought the unit used, but I don't know what else it could be? All my incoming pressure is good. could it be the centrifugal pump?
Could be the pump but typically you would find that right away. You could check the discharge screen of the pump. If your recovering too high you could be scaling your membranes, Also if you have no pre-treatment or are having issues with your pre-treatment you can loose output. If you have the wrong membranes you may have lower output as well. Depending on water temp.
@@completewater We have a large Carbon cartridge before water incoming.
@@Infidel67 You will need more than that most likely. Here is a blog post we did regarding "What Else Do I need With My RO" complete-water.com/blog/what-else-do-i-need-with-my-ro-system
We have packs going bad. Our pH on our water is 8.6-9.0 coming out of our RO. We've had intermittent hard water issues from our softeners switching back. My question is can the granules inside loaded with magnesium/calcium/iron/etc. be saved? I would think trying to recharge them with an acid recirculation might do the trick.
Hello, So my recommendation is to review the manual of the CEDI / EDI Stack Manufacture. They will have procedures for cleaning the Stacks. Highly recommend following it step by step as you can cause irreversible damage.
We got the GE E4, is it possible to upgrade the manual reading OP to a digital like this one?
Unfortunately there is not a "Upgrade" kit to go to a PLC version. They have actually discontinued the E4 Model and have moved over to the LT4. The RO in this video with the HMI is the upgraded version of the LT4. The basic LT4 is very similar to the E4 RO.
Great videos. I have a user request video here. Could you show us if a single 4x40 membrane under 300 psi. If it will fill a 40 gallon well pressure tank to 60 psi? I am REALLY curious! Thanks again for posting and always enjoy your videos!
Hi Rick, just based on past experience yes it can. However you need the right piping connections, and equipment. Certain design criteria should be in place for this. I have seen some systems operate this way. (Smaller commercial). I will see what we can do to cover that topic at some time this year.
@@completewater That would be awesome. I am curious if a single 4x40 at 300 PSI, such as a Grundfos feeiding into the vessel, would push water through the membrane and into a pressure bladder tank without a post permeat pump. Your videos are highly educational and are shaping the water industry in a positive manner!
So the seal on the RO membrane goes on the same side where water is entering correct?

Hello, I am not sure what you mean by 2 stage. Its a 2-2-2 Array but single pass. I am not sure what you also mean by 1000+ ppm water. What is 1000 ppm = to TDS? There can be many reasons why DP is high, It can be water quality, flux ratio, organic fouling, too much waste, membranes installed wrong, water temp, lots of reasons why DP is high.
