Great video. Thanks you. Not everyone can afford to open the EDI module :). I am a water treatment engineer using EDI for pharmaceutical manufacturing. Very informative.
Thank you for the feed back we hope to do more videos like this. If you ever need any parts or assistance don't hesitate to reach out. Have a great day.
I can know the price of a small elementary cell, the production of water treated desalination per minute
Hello please email us info@complete-water.com we can provide a price and help you select the right edi
I don't know what material the 2 electrodes at the top of the plastic plate are without being electrolyzed
You might be able to reference the manual to get an idea of what side of the DC current it is
Awesome
I thank you for this wonderful explanation, but I have a question.. May I know the amount of voltage and current that works on the EDI system, and is it related to the number of cells or layers of the EDI...
Good day,
The voltage is typically DC. It can vary depending on the size of the stack and manufacture recommendations along with water quality / flow rates. Some common tech specs provide this as a range 0-300 VDC Amperage 0-5.2 ADC
Hello, a good video, if you can make a video for us for a simple amateur-made cell, the materials constituting
Unfortunately we will not be able to disclose all the specific materials inside as most of them are protected under patent laws.
Hello i hope you are well, can you give me the names of the constituent element of CEDI please
Hi. I would like to ask for any recommendation.. our EDI have 4 stacks. 2 of them is not functioning as the amperage is zero. already changed the rectifiers but no improvement. Is the problem within the internals of the stack? thanks
I would check the controls if its displaying zero and you have no power at the stack then there is something going on with the controls.
I think anion and cation resin are using inside of module. I want to try manufacturing a prototype CEDI module. Which type resin is used in CEDI modules? OH form or Cl form? Or do you have any advice for usable resin brand and model?
Thanks for reaching out. There are a few manufactures of cedi stacks. Ion pure, suez, snowpure, iontech just to name a few. Each one has a different resin, membrane and flow characteristics. You might be able to find data sheets that can give you some further info.
@@completewater Thank you for your advice. I have disassemblied 1 iontech modules its inside is look like very basic but i guess resin type is very special and i can't determine it. Because i try with some of mixbed resin or anion/cation resin such as purolite mb400, trilite ma20 and mc08h etc. But voltages are very high(500V at 2 amper) and pressure is 0.8 bar at 5 m3. Its pressure was 2bar at 5m3 and voltage was 100V at 2 amper with original resin before i dissaemblied. Also product resistance is reducing to 2MOhm after 50m3. I think my fault is resin. I have to find suitable resin for CEDI.
@@kamilaktemur My recommendation would be to talk to Dow or ResinTech see if they can provide you some support as to what would work best.
We have packs going bad. Our pH on our water is 8.6-9.0 coming out of our RO. We've had intermittent hard water issues from our softeners switching back.
My question is can the granules inside loaded with magnesium/calcium/iron/etc. be saved? I would think trying to recharge them with an acid recirculation might do the trick.
Hello, So my recommendation is to review the manual of the CEDI / EDI Stack Manufacture. They will have procedures for cleaning the Stacks. Highly recommend following it step by step as you can cause irreversible damage.
I want to know how you fix anion and cation in edi. and which type of anion exchange membrane and cation exchange membrane.
Unfortunately that is confidential information. They do not share that with us.
Hi, can you explain about electrolyte flow in this module.
Hi Mumtaz, so it might be hard to do that on camera, we will have a CEDI with RO System skid in our shop soon to provide some operation videos. There is a picture that can be found here on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrodeionization#/media/File:Electrodeionization_scheme.jpg
Great video. Thanks for the information.
Can we service EDI ?
EDI Systems can be services, typical services may include, stack replacement, factory rebuilds, cleaning and sanitizing
How I can reset, low air pressure fault on edi plant.
Thanks for reaching out - Unfortunately we have no idea what system you have etc. we would recommend contacting the company you purchased the system from.
Please can you help me i have EDI 700 to much problems can you help me
Hi Jwan I am not sure of that model. Feel free to email us a tech sheet info@complete-water.com
Validation Engineer, CQV clean utilities projects. Pretty cool seeing the inside disassembled, really adds to the P&ID.
Thank you for the feed back - much appreciated.
