Honestly, noone would come here to El Salvador if it wasn't for the dollar, sincoin, or for all the crap the president keeps sweeping under the mat. Soon as it all goes to crap everyone will dash to some place while us the locals try to figure it out. It's typical though.

For decades, the coast of El Salvador has been the least developed in the country. Poverty is still very noticeable due to so many years of abandonment. Personally, I have never been interested in living near the coast, not because I am rich, but because the country is full of rivers and lakes where I can have a better quality of life and a better climate -weather

Thank you for recognizing peoples work I was also tipping left and right last year after not being back for a long time. Remember that most restaurants include the tip on your bill so it’s up to you to live more. Also some vendors might try to adjust prices depending where you are from even if is a few cents is more to them.
