Is it normal to hear a clicking noise when I put my car in park and apply parking brake while still using the brake pedal?

Mine still clunks after pressing brake and releasing parking brake

What if it does this when sitting on a flat surface?

I got the P06DD after I replaced the oil cooler assembly any idea why that is? I never had that code until after I changed the oil cooler assembly

Mine dont have that but it has a fuse block full of relays and fuses when i took that cover off i noticed the relays where kinda out of place so i went threw and pushed everything down including all fuses and that was the issue with mine the starter relay and starter solenoid relay was out of place im assuming vibration from the motor vibrated them out of place

Guys if your all scared to clunk your cars and wana avoid it, then all you do is rock your car back and forward a tiny bit while your in your seat lol and change to D or wtva u want and youll be good to go with no clunk lol simple.

What would you do if you had P06DD and oil in cylinder 5 on spark plug and white tip on spark plug ? Still replace the oil pump? The oil and filter are good. The oil cooler housing and sensors are new. Spark plugs and coils are new. 160k miles. Runs rough on start.

I just got a bid of 615.00 to replace the glow plug from the dealership. the dealership also sent me a bid for when the glow plug breaks off because they have to remove the head to get it off. this is a nightmare. I dont have the ability to do it myself but this sheds some light on the situation.

Keep in mind, if the owner of the JGC from 2011 to 2013 had upgraded oil cooling unit for the Dorman (Aluminum upgrade) the filter will be the one with the one from 2014 and up.

Oil galley plugs in the heads can loosen and fall out loosing oil pressure.

i got the P06dd code and realized the oil cooler had a pool of oil sitting around it, i was 3.5 quarts low. these plastic oil coolers tend to warp/crack i been told. i bought a upgraded aluminum one from Dorman. could a faulty oil cooler leaking bad cause this code? also i noticed during a short drive up the road my oil pressure on the dash cluster was bouncing from 48 psi - 88 psi while driving slow. the vehicle is a 2016 chrysler 300 C 3.6

Hey man! Super helpful video, thanks for posting it. I had a P0520 and my Ram dealer replaced the sensor last week. Within 10 minutes of leaving the dealer, CEL came back on and now it’s throwing P06dd. I feel like this has to be related to the work done at the dealer. They don’t seem to think it would be related to their work. Am I right to think this is likely to be related to something they did while fixing the P0520?

Does the oil filter housing crack because I have a lot of oil down by it .

I just fixed a RAM Pro master with that code. P06DD. Replacing the oil pump is the only way to do it. It comes with the solenoid that controls the two-stage oil pump. You can reach it only by removing the metallic oil pan.

Had to replace the engine oil housing for my jeep 2012 grand Cherokee, it wouldn’t allow me to accelerate when I hit the gas it would not even go any faster , so I ordered it replaced it , whole thing with labor materials plus new oil change and new oil filter with transmission oil changed was 600$ , runs brand new with 160k miles , what a beauty.

a 2014 rubicon that I purchased last month with 95k miles on it. I just got this code “P06DE At 97k. I’m showing no symptoms performance wise. No ticking, no engine power loss, cloudy exhaust etc….so I took it to the dealership (sept 7th) they just topped it off and told me I was a quart low and sent me on my way, and the code cleared. The check engine light just turned back on while driving to work (Sept 14th) exactly 7 days after leaving the dealer. I took it to the dealer for an appointment on the September 18th…no good communication.. just today (sept 22nd) to go pick up a loaner, I was told they are sending my jeep to an actual jeep dealership, for them to run a diagnostic because they don’t know what’s going on with the jeep, they don’t know how much oil is in the engine also telling me that the jeep was 3 1/2 quarts low when I brought it in on the 7th of September even though I was told it was a quart low, but now telling me I possibly need a new catalytic converter, or maybe a new engine. How is this possible when the original code was displaying only P06DE how did we go from a engine oil pressure control circuit stuck “on” to a new a new cat or engine all in 4 days from the engine light turning back on from the 14th of September up to the 18th on the appointment date.. anyone have advice please before I make a financial decision. PS they even drove the jeep up to me to collect my house keys off the chain of the jeep key, and the cars doesn’t sound nor seem like it needs a new cat or engine, no ticking not rattling, no knocking, no rough idle, nor slugging as he hit the gas pulling up to me from the service department.

This video answered my question. I was wondering why my truck was making that sound. I always park on my driveway and it’s on a decline. I was trying to prevent any future damage to the transmission. I will try this out. Thanks
